    Everyone believes their kid is special. Some companies seize this with gurantees ect. Bottom line is you have to be a stand out to get recruited. No magic formula, no program can get around that.

    This is facts. They son’t know your kid from a can of paint. I received an invite from them about a camp to a D3 college. Never heard of the University & decided that my son would go as a 1st camp experience. My son wasn’t feeling the camp & the head coach didn’t know about route running. The coaches was surpised to even see a kid from my area.

    We called this one woman from ncsa, and she put a lot of emphasis on the fact the kid was late and desperately needed to "catch up" and that the only way we could do that was by paying money for them. Tried to nicely hang up a couple times but she kept going on about how we could regret this many years into the future. Had to pretend I was wholeheartedly convinced before she let me hang up. Total scam, super weird.

    I am so glad I dont have a problem telling a scammer to "f*** off", Last night, we had the "talk" to one of those guys for over an hour. he was soo nice talking to us, telling my daughter "you are an amazing soccer player, so weird that you haven't gotten any letter from a school yet, you should've gotten a few by now"... That's when I realize this is BS. This dude never seen my 14 y/o play, he has no idea how good or bad she is or what she needs to work on to get better..... anyways... after the presentation he asked in few words "which plan you want to choose", but he was very persistent, and noticed that he was getting a bit upset...... so then I looked at my wife and daughter.. and told them " just go downstairs and cut the chicken so I can start cooking"...... he got mad he even said" it seems that you dont care about your daughter's future" ... that's when my Peruvian instinct came out and told him to f*** off.

Within half day we got caught in a 45 minutes long phone call and got set up for a second call ( on Mother's Day!!!). When this services are so quick to try to get you without leaving you the time to think it's always a concerning scam alert. BTW costs of membership were between 1800 - 6000+ dollars. Just need to be a baller man. At the end of the day that’s what really matters. Like if you’re THAT good, I’m talking D1 level and potential NFL, it is so damn noticeable. Everyone will use the excuse of “oh well I’m from a small town” - even if you’re from a small town and you have a highlight tape that shows you can make those types of D1 level plays, coaches will know about you. I recommend making a Twitter account and posting content there to get a social media presence, follow college coaches and interact with coaches on the app. All it takes is one coach or scout to see you and it changes everything. But the social media stuff doesn’t matter if you don’t have the skills to back it up

    • @firstdowntraining
      @firstdowntraining  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Fair question- figured someone would eventually have it. My job is development which is something these recruiting services don’t do. “Hey son you have potential pay a couple grand for us to do nothing but we will get you recruited” and maybe they tell the athlete “hey you need to get faster or bigger” but do they do anything to help in that process? Nope. Do I, yep. So if a kid comes to me, I don’t turn them down my job is to make them a better football player and I give their parents EXACTLY what they pay for. I don’t make promises I don’t keep- they come to me to get better and for me to help them get better at a skill so they don’t have to pay for college or whatever their goal is. My problem with recruiting services is they talk a big game, but don’t deliver. And they couldn’t deliver on every kid because some kids need to develop. But they won’t say “hey I don’t want your money because you aren’t good enough yet- work on xyz and then come back and we can talk because we only promote guys who are good enough right now”. Which is what most college coaches go to. They go to a CREDIBLE source, not someone who takes everyone known to man and sometimes 13yr olds who haven’t even hit puberty yet and claim to “get them recruited”. Cmon now, you know it’s a different business.
