I've been messing with WordPress for 2 years now. I'm blossoming into an adult and I really want to take my blog seriously. I'm tired of telling people oh I have a blog, but I don't post on it anymore. So thanks for these tips! I'm now motivated again to just jump back into it without fear.

Great video. I have started a home decor blog now My main reason is because my wife is in the Philippines with my 1 year old daughter, and i am in England. My main reason for blogging is because i dont meet the minimum requirement per year to bring my family to me. i dont get to see them for 9 months at a time. So I'm buying a house in the Philippines, but i just don't make enough money to to support being out there long . Blogging is my only hope. but im finding myself with 2 problems. The first is researching blog post ideas that have been popular with other blogs in my niche that i could write about. and the second problem is using images in my blog posts without breaking any copyrights. how do bloggers use images that are not from free stock photo sites i have had my blog for 2 weeks but finding that it takes me a whole day to write 1 post. i'm loving pinterest tho, its great for home decor niche. i will continue to push forward and watch your videos. there is no giving up here , and wanted to say ty for the free advice you give.
Hey Ian! Make sure you don't copy verbatim other bloggers' posts. Keyword research can tell you what to write about, but it has to be original. As for stock photography, we use BigStockPhoto. They are paid. You can't use another's photos without their consent. We love Pinterest :) Thanks!

I understand the visual aspect of big print and short paragraphs. But as a story teller I am really resistant to this because little snippets of text do not make a story. I'm a writer at heart. I have a novel in the pipeline and I worry about having a blog that doesn't look like it was written by a writer, meaning not a marketer. Thanks for the tip about X theme. 2-3 times per week when starting out, and then you can slow down to 1 time once you have an established audience. The key is to be consistent with it. Hope this helps!

what do you think about Wix.com offering blog pages? It now uses Corvid or ADI (NICE yet simple unsure if it is extended for blog pages however since it is a website developer tool). Here's my point. I get t host all my blogs in my blog page. In that page, whoever you see all of my blogs v. having a domain set aside for EACH blog. However, if it has high end SEO, shouldn't it get hits?

Of course! You should eventually have photos of yourself on your blog (or at least 1) to build trust with your audience and give a face to your voice, but you don't have to start out that way.
(I know I am almost a year out...) Can you be a successful blogger without being on TH-cam or YT often? I do follow and know many bloggers who blog and have a decent YT following but I am just not a video/on-camera person. I enjoy taking pictures but no that enthusiastic about being on the other side.

Some niches perform better than others on Pinterest, but I do think it applies to most niches. The best way to find out is to search topics in your niche on Pinterest.
Hey,man! I got 50% out of my third try on the Advance Marketing Headline Analyzer! After that I got persistent 44.44%. Could there be some sort of mistake in this system? You said that it is normal 15-30%. (Five Minutes Later - 55.56%)
I got a 60% on my first try. Then made a completely different topic headline that got 75% and edited it to get a 100%. I'd tell you what the 100% one was but I wanna use it lol but if you really dont believe me I'll tell you
Had my friend do it and he could only get a 15-30 on average. My guess is it varies a ton on what your headline is about and your ability to introduce emotion in a condensed way.

Please please though consider thinking about the part in your article where you say, stated or written by an asylum center patient or whatever it was that you wrote. Understanding that you're trying to imply it would be crazy to wait for the webpage to load in such a manner. Crazy in that context is a cultural term, as in to say, it is a common way to use the term crrazy. However linking it with people in the mental health system is stereotyping and reductionistic. I am sure, sure it is not your intent to do this, I'm just asking you to consider thinking about it and not using such terms in the future. Thanks for the great content.

I understand the visual aspect of big print and short paragraphs. But as a story teller I am really resistant to this because little snippets of text do not make a story. I'm a writer at heart. I have a novel in the pipeline and I worry about having a blog that doesn't look like it was written by a writer, meaning not a marketer.

I have a question. I'm starting out a blog on psychology but I'm wondering. How often is it recommended to post in order to guarantee a strong engage with your audience?
2-3 times per week when starting out, and then you can slow down to 1 time once you have an established audience. The key is to be consistent with it. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your awesome video! I tried Optimizilla, but after I put the photos on my page/blog they are pixelated but when I look at them on the draft of my blog they aren't pixelated. Why is that? What am I doing wrong?
That probably has to do with the size of the images. Different image placements require different sizes. Hope this helps!

what do you think about Wix.com offering blog pages? It now uses Corvid or ADI (NICE yet simple unsure if it is extended for blog pages however since it is a website developer tool). Here's my point. I get t host all my blogs in my blog page. In that page, whoever you see all of my blogs v. having a domain set aside for EACH blog. However, if it has high end SEO, shouldn't it get hits?

Divi is best! X-Theme used to be our top choice, but they changed some things up and we no longer recommend it.

Of course! You should eventually have photos of yourself on your blog (or at least 1) to build trust with your audience and give a face to your voice, but you don't have to start out that way.

Hey,man! I got 50% out of my third try on the Advance Marketing Headline Analyzer! After that I got persistent 44.44%. Could there be some sort of mistake in this system? You said that it is normal 15-30%. (Five Minutes Later - 55.56%)
I got a 60% on my first try. Then made a completely different topic headline that got 75% and edited it to get a 100%. I'd tell you what the 100% one was but I wanna use it lol but if you really dont believe me I'll tell you
Had my friend do it and he could only get a 15-30 on average. My guess is it varies a ton on what your headline is about and your ability to introduce emotion in a condensed way.

Crazy in that context is a cultural term, as in to say, it is a common way to use the term crrazy. However linking it with people in the mental health system is stereotyping and reductionistic.
