Before today, I've never sat through any more than one game of worlds, but today I sat through all 8 hours. What fantastic performances with all team in group B today. Such a competitive scene in League today and I LOVE IT!
I watched my games in the pacific timezone, the first game started at 1AM, and the final game ended at 7AM. Never got past 5AM in any of the previous days. These games were so fun to watch.
I had to come back to watch it. Was an unbelievable day. I went into it sick. We needed wins…no way around it. When the first two games were against the MSI champs and the LCK 2 seed, I was thinking one would be lucky.
"And Cloud9 pass the group of death, and qualify for the quarterfinals!" NO ONE was expecting C9 to make it out of this group. They beat the defending world champions and the tournament favorites, and then swept Korea out of the tournament in quarters. 2018 C9 was one of the biggest underdog stories in League history.
you can't call him unsportsmanlike just because he took a slight delay before standing up to congratulate the winners... these losses can be devastating
That was class right there. I was worried about us (NA) but C9 again showed they are our best team. Good luck to FNC, they look strong. G2 could even do it.
c9 is a team of constant struggle, clawing their way through every pain point that is possible. If there was any year to see great things happen, it's this year, and it's gonna happen on the back of c9. The road of pain is the road of glory, and c9 deserve all the glory that it earns right now.
@Alosja Junker Uhh just think about it for a sec. Bjergsen was and is mostly a resource heavy player which limits the amount champions Svenskeren can play. TSM loves taking carry jungles which themselves require resources and turn them into Bjergsen's personal support for midlane. If Svenskeren was allowed to have a more aggressive role like he was known for he would have been much better. This is shown in the contrast of 2016-2017 TSM and 2018 C9. C9 allows their junglers to have more freedom. And yes Bjergsen should do well with the amount of resources/freedom he siphons off great carry junglers turning them into supportive/ward bots.

From EU fan GG to C9, VIT was much worse this game. They made some terrible decisions this game (like that baron bait, wtf was that) and at the end it was too little too late for them. Still VIT was fantastic this worlds and exceeded all my expectations. Keep your heads up bois and come stronger next year! GG everybody G2 tomorrow!
They didnt disrespect C9, they picked the team coomp that had to win early and get a big early lead, thats why they went for those early plays, problems come when they didnt get this lead and they started to panic

Still 2 strong chances for EU to get out of groups. This group was stupidly close. It basically came down to little misplays, such as Thresh missing so many hooks :/ . Both of them deserved a spot in quarters. Well played Vitality, you really amazed us all.
That did happen in a game where Vitality threw the game. Vitality has the better players, its just that they are inexperienced compared to the C9 roster. Having Jensen and sneaky helps a lot for their rookies. Not taking away from C9 as they deserved it, but it would be exciting to see a bo5 between them :)
Coming from NA, Don't get why NA & EU fans come together. Should be supporting each other especially at worlds! We are obviously considered the underdogs, both regions, let's take one!
