I just turned 51. I'm a metal head. The concerts I've seen are bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Overkill, Ozzy, Dio, RATT, Motley Crue, Poison, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper, Dokken, and many other metal bands. I have tickets to see Grace in Detroit on June 21. I am probably more excited about this show than any other I've seen before. Her music is just incredible. Her personality is beautiful. She's one of those rare performers who transcends generations. Her audience is young kids to grandparents. We're all FanderWaals!

      B. Weeks hahaha.....I’ve seen the same bands and am the same age and I couldn’t agree more. She’s magical.

We all want Grace to be outrageously successful. To hear her say she's not sure she wants to continue on her present path is distressing, because we want MORE, MORE, MORE. But that's a selfish attitude on our parts, because, as you say, Grace's happiness is the most important thing--and even if she were to stop today, she's already enriched our lives beyond measure. That being said, I think being a singer/songwriter/performer is in her blood. Grace has wanted this for many years, and she obviously gets a high from being on stage. (You may have noticed that it sometimes takes a couple of songs for her to get revved up, but once she gets past the initial self-consciousness, she becomes totally lit, uninhibited, and in complete command of the stage and the audience.) People like to do what they do best, and Grace is one of the best at what she does. Nevertheless, her touring with Imagine Dragons this summer will severely test her mettle. If Grace comes through it with flying colors and feelings of exhilaration, then I think we can safely say that she won't have any more second thoughts.

Yes, I agree.... We all love Grace, and I can't wait to see her sing live next month in New York..... I will be 60 this year, and I've been to innumerable concerts [Heart, Poison, Amy Grant, LeAnn Rimes, Mister Mister, Jo Dee Messina, Trace Adkins, The Judds- to name a few], but I have NEVER looked forward SO much to hearing someone sing live in my life!..... And, I have met quite a few celebrities [Mohammed Ali; Willie Mays; Mickey Mantle; Pete Rose; Ann & Nancy Wilson, Denny Carmasi, Mark Andes, and Howard Leese [all 5 from Heart, 1980s]; Bob Feller; Al Kaline; Charlie Gehringer; Alan Trammell; Jack Morris; Sparky Anderson- to name a few], but I have never been so impressed with a celebrity in my life!.... I even had my picture in Time Magazine September 29, 1986, but that doesn't impress me as much as seeing Grace sing live!..... She has captured the imaginations of many, and soon to be the masses [with her opening for Imagine Dragons this summer!]..... Lastly, my favorite artists used to be The Beatles, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin..... until I heard Grace sing on AGT in 2016!..... Grace is now #1 in my book!..... And, will become legendary, I believe...... Inexplicable tears flow when I hear her voice, and when I see the emotion she imparts on her songs!..... From one Capricorn to another, I truly hope this is "Just the Beginning"...... :)

Since we are putting music bio's out there to show how diverse Grace's audience is... I was a lead singer/songwriter in a few garage bands in my teens with some originals but mostly covers of The Cars, AC/DC, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, Three Dog Night etc... The most influential band for me was Pink Floyd, around 10 years ago I put together a story album of original songs which my kids are now waiting for me to die so they can release it. When I first heard Grace on AGT, I was compelled to find out more about her music and discovered her youtube channel. From that moment until now I believed someone special to the music industry had been discovered.

Thanks for this reaction, I like you and all her fans just want her to be happy and never feel she is pushed into something she does not want to do. Luckily she has the back up she needs in her own parents, a sister who understands her and an intelligence herself to know when to say pause or even stop. Watching this small video really makes me at least feel she is the daughter I wish I had. So normal, so pleasant, and yet so unique. Every time I watch her either interview, perform or just being herself (like the I Want Strawberries video) I simply fall under her spell again and again. I can only assume that Tina and Dave have done a fantastic job as parents.

My favorite Grace moment is when she makes fun of her dad and says, "not with that attitude". She has such a great sense of humour. And, obviously, she is mature decades beyond her age.

Seen this clip countless times and it's small bio of where Grace is has come since AGT. I have a feeling Grace very much wants to be among the best in todays music scene which it's not often we seen true gifted people that really want to make a name for themselves and bring their music to the world that are looking for something new. Her first album got limited promotion which respectively did well but it got high as #23 but Grace has a lot more to show us and when her next album comes out it'll be even greater than her 2017 debut.

Good job reacting to this. It really does give 3 dimensions to her image. The interviews were likely done in the middle of December, and since then she's finished her own tour and then signed on to open for Imagine Dragons, so she's either decided not to give up on music, or at least put off worrying about it.

I really liked this reaction video. I may be 69 now (yeah, for real young man! LOL), but I can still identify with the stresses Grace must be feeling. My sole "claim to fame" is that I live in the same town as the VanderWaals. Yeah, whoopy! I do not have the privilege to know them personally, but I admire that whole family anyway. Dave and Tina are so totally supporting for their youngest, and Olivia also is there for "baby sister." Unfortunately, I don't know much about Jakob, but I hope he also supports Grace. I do know this much: the whole family must be fantastic. Just think about what they did for Petra Viklund. No more needs to be said!
Your sentiments echo mine and I really appreciated this video. Thank you so much. And try to stay warm up in Michigan!

Jakob, the lost Vanderwaal. Last I knew, he was defending the world in the US military but I'm not sure if he is still serving.

I love Grace and I also love Petra. Grace has been good for Petra not just for the trip to New York but helping her deal with her issues. Petra's talent is very real and she doesn't seem to know how truly good she is. Grace is a phenome and I hope she becomes even brighter in the pantheon of singers, she is so very impressive. She seems so wise for someone so young. With young people like her the world will end up being "A Better Place" after all.

Hello MichiKent, ! I've watched Grace from the beginning, all of her posts, gone to Just the Beginning" performance and respect and admire her and the family.
But I'd like you to know as well that you and few other reaction fans are at moments almost as thrilling to watch and share your/my reaction when I first saw that video and you see and experience the same thing and feelings. Thank You for giving the gift of being able to relive *my* initial reaction through your mind and eyes.
Keep recording Grace moments, there are some MichiKent fans out here in the wild as well. Peace..

She said she didn't like doing the online schooling and not having interaction with kids her age who are not her fans but she didn't say what she has done to fix that. She went back to her middle school. She is trying to finish the 8th grade before opening for the Imagine Dragon tour.

Very well done Kent! Your immediate and uncut monologue as well as how well you spoke on so many pertinent points, especially the 'be with yourself at the end of the day'. Grace can get as much love as she can look for, how great is that.
I know what you mean about not feeling sorry for the whiners, but I've tried to curb even those kinds of thoughts.... #choosekindness ya know. This is some great Grace! Got caught watching her instead of you yet again!
You have to see the middle segment yet.

I just hope that the family has a equally loving caring support because they have a lot of pressure to do as she may want and contracts to keep.My point being ; to pull the plug on this industry and handle the fallout of lawsuits that would surely arrive at there doorsteps. As a father of two children , one gifted naturally with artistic ability and the other who struggles daily to find his way and has in my opinion an huge caring soul even at his own demise, that'll need the same amount of respect for his life chosen .And it can be hard to see the little significant signs of trouble bothering them both equally even when they love and support each other they're sence of importance on the to handle list is at best sometimes lopsided so remember to be there to speak up and say hey guys as you're friends and or family we are here for all of you not just the outwardly gifted one.I hope someone can understand what I am trying to say , and if you do please leave me a like of support.

I just hope Grace does what’s best for Grace. If she ever decided to leave the limelight I would be disappointed but I would support her decision, I’d truly hate to be famous. I’ve been in the restaurant industry around some famous chefs and I see what they go through. Take Grace and her fame and take that to a whole different level. To have to deal with that at age 15 now! I’d not want to be in her shoes. So I just admire her all the more for giving herself to her music and her fans. I’m just glad she has her family that seems to truly have her best interest at heart. And if it gets to be too much....maybe get her out of it or take a sabbatical. Let her be a kid. Anyway I’m just ranting.... I love Grace and her music and I’m looking forward to hearing more from this little prodigy. Great video btw. I liked what you had to say.
