Thank you! Hope the ideas in the video are helpful!
This is so helpful 😊
I'm so glad! Thank you, Tally!
Thanks for the diy...I'm rewatching your video because I am making one for my mini happy planner....just have to use different measurements
Nice!
This is so COOOOL! I haven't seen anyone do this yet. Thanks for showing us this method!
You're welcome, Kia!
Thanks for sharing. Great idea!
Thank you!
This was perfect. So glad I found your channel. Can't wait to hit up the fabric store.
Yay! Thank you so much!
Thankyou so much
I am going to attempt one for my mini happy planner
I feel it will make it more secure
Awesome, Cheryl! I'm glad you are going to test this out and hope you have fun! :)
Definitely going to do this, I have been looking for a cover to fit my Happy Planner and couldn't find one so this will be prefect. Now just need to find some cute fabric. 😀
Wonderful Taneeka! I hope you have fun! :)
I will try this! I may also add Mod Podge on the cover to give it a “leathery” look and feel.
Very cool idea, Crystal!
Know this is old but you could use laminated and iron on the fabric to you can wipe the cover off. What I am gonna do
Oh, I love this idea! thanks
Thanks, Mary! I'm so glad you like it!
This is great!
Thank you very much Jessica! :)
Thank you so much, your video was so clear and easy to follow. I just got into the happy planner world, but the covers they have are so bulky. This will allow me to make a cover that will be easy to carry along with me!
Wonderful!
Love it! TFS. I'm definitely going to try this.
Awesome! Have fun!
love this! your so creative
You are so kind Evalinda! Thank you so much!
This was a brilliant video! Exactly what I want to make 😊
Thank you, Sara! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
Great tutorial, I love your channel!
That means so much to me Kelly! Thank you!
Please note this is for a classic size planner - don't do like I did and assume it was for the big planner!
:)
This was so cute, and the tutorial was easy to follow! :D
Thank you, Sandra! It makes me happy to hear that the tutorial was straight forward and that you liked the end product! :)
Thanks for a tutorial! I have tried to do cover for my HP mini for twice but it didn't go well. First one was too small ja the second little bit too big. How much more extra I should put on Mini one so it would be fitting better?
I mean that when its 7" wide so how much should I cut to fabric?
Thank you, Niina! Unfortunately, I am unable to guarantee the dimensions of the
fabric cover for the mini happy planner because I do not own a mini, I haven't tried to make a cover for it, and I don't know the size of it when it is opened. I would recommend working with the dimensions from this video as a
starting point. The classic-sized Happy Planner is 15.75" X 9.75" when
opened and each cover is 7.75" X 9.75" in size. I would measure the size
of your mini Happy Planner when opened (According to the MAMBI website,
each mini HP cover is 4.5" X 7" but I don't know the size when opened).
I would then divide the dimension of the classic-sized by your
dimensions for the mini-sized HP to create a ratio. Then divide the
fabric dimensions from the video by this ratio to get a close
approximation to what the size of each piece of fabric will need to be. I
hope that helps!
hi I'm doing a project for my fashion design class and I was wondering what would be the dimensions for a mini happy planner since I have one .BTW I loved this videos
Hi Jocelyn,
Thank you! Unfortunately, I am unable to guarantee the dimensions of the fabric cover for the mini happy planner because I do not own a mini. I would recommend working with the dimensions from this video as a starting point. The classic-sized Happy Planner is 15.75" X 9.75" when opened and each cover is 7.75" X 9.75" in size. I would measure the size of your mini Happy Planner when opened (According to the MAMBI website, each mini HP cover is 4.5" X 7" but I don't know the size when opened). I would then divide the dimension of the classic-sized by your dimensions for the mini-sized HP to create a ratio. Then divide the fabric dimensions from the video by this ratio to get a close approximation to what the size of each piece of fabric will need to be. I hope that helps!
i really enjoyed the tutorial!! and i really want to do it but... i dont have a sewing machine! Do you think i could do it with a needle instead?
Yes, definitely!
How did you determine the measurements for the fabric? I only ask because I have a BIG happy planner and I am HOPELESS at sewing... I can't follow your measurements for my size planner but if I get creative I'm pretty sure I'll ruin it :p
If you are worried about making a mistake, you may want to buy some inexpensive fabric to practice with. To determine the measurements I held pieces of fabric up to the Happy Planner while it was opened and marked on the fabric using a pencil where to cut (making sure to leave extra space to account for the fabric being turned inside out later on). Then, using the pencil markings as a guide, I wrapped this fabric around the Happy Planner while it was closed to see if the fabric was loose enough, before I decided on the final size of the fabric pieces.
I would recommend working with the dimensions from this video as a starting point. The classic-sized Happy Planner is 15.75" X 9.75" when opened and each cover is 7.75" X 9.75" in size. I would measure the size of your BIG Happy Planner when opened. I would then divide the dimension of the classic-sized by your dimensions for the BIG-sized HP to create a ratio. Then divide the fabric dimensions from the video by this ratio to get a close approximation to what the size of each piece of fabric will need to be. I hope that helps!
This was great! I also added a step where I used foam interfacing to stiffen up the cover more. Thanks for the easy to follow directions!
@@countrystrikes Great idea!
Are the dimensions for a happy planner with expander Rings or with the classic rings?
The dimensions are for a Happy Planner with classic-sized rings. :)
Super Dumber Cute
Thank you, Ellen!
you know what would be the dimensions for a mini happy planner? :)
Each cover for the mini HP (according to the MAMBI website) is 4.5” x 7”.
is that the classic happy planner?
Yes :)
Very good content, but the words in top makes it hard to view. Not sure if it's my phone or the video.
Thank you! I think the font may be difficult to read on a phone. I'll make sure not to use that font again. Sorry about that!
Music is way too loud. Big distraction to the process.
Okay. Thank you for the feedback. I will keep that in mind while editing.
