- This week I had to take our little Skoda Citigo for it's first MOT Test at Simpsons of Great Yarmouth. Whist waiting for the test to be completed, I took time to look around the enormous stock of new and used motorhomes on site. This video compares a Burstner and a Sunlight motorhome to suit two different budgets.

Interesting walking around with you, thanks for the tours :) I guess the sunroof in the 2nd one is possible as the bed is across whereas for the Burstner it’s longitudinal. Glad Ethyl did you proud :)

Great tour of two interesting layouts. Not sure about a drop-down bed, but the washrooms look good. Can't believe how unused they both looked, especially that oven! We really like our PVC, and having just spent 3 weeks in it (in Scotland) are now better able to see where layout and feature compromises can have a big impact. SO glad we chose a fixed bed... but an A/C unit would be good...😊
I find it fascinating just how many configurations there are and how people react so differently to them. Thanks so much for your comments I really value them and hope to be able to walk round some 2020 models at the NEC in a couple of weeks. Best wishes Trev 👍🏻

Hi Trev, Currently a caravanner but looking to move to a Motorhome in the next year or two. So it’s all about layouts for me and your video gives more food for thought. At the moment it’s the end u shape lounge that Mrs C prefers but these videos are always useful. Many thanks
Tony the U end lounge is very popular but compared with a caravan the cab uses a lot of space and you will have a side washroom and likely have to make the bed up every night. Big benefit of end lounge is panoramic views from 3 sides. Have fun looking, you will know when you find the right van for you 👍🏻 Trev

A lot of continental vans dont actually have cookers in them because on the other side of the english channel they dont seem to cook in their motorhomes as they do all their cooking outside BBQ,s etc so a lot dont have them what happens is the dealers usually fit them when they are shipped to the UK they may just have a microwave and a small hob

Here in the New World everything has to be Bigger. We don't get those cool, more space saving RVs like in Europe. Great video
Yes that’s true, big fridge, big beds, big lounge etc. The Motorhomes have become enormous and maybe that’s why the 3 and a half tonne regulation has been introduced 😁 Thanks for watching 👍🏻 Trev

I believe it is 6.49 metres long. Not bad considering how spacious it felt. I think it’s the kitchen that saves space inside. Thanks for watching 😄 Trev

Rob quite a small kitchen but ok if you like cooking outside. I prefer a bigger oven personally 🙂 Trev
I liked the Burstner because of vanity but that Sunlight on my budget wins, is the Burstner worth nearly double of the Sunlight? Naa!
I find it interesting to compare. The used market really does change the game. From new the Burstner is very desirable but after a few years on the road can easily lose appeal. Thanks for watching 😄 Trev
