Gjert really just delivered the training that was put together by other people. Not to take anything away from him as that is a talent in itself which he excelled at.
@@MrJiggerify thanks, I spent the morning researching Marius Bakken , I'm only a 2'55 marathon runner but am in my 50's so reasonably fit. I'm interested in lactate threshold training as it seems far more accurate than heart rate monitor based training. Going down this lactate threshold training path might be OTT for an old codger like myself but if it keeps you motivated then it has to be good.
Thanks for the video. Will the full interview be available?
It’s out on all podcast platforms (Spotify and Apple Music etc)
@@Trackstaa_ Legend cheers
LeTtTtTtTtSsSsSsSsSsSsSs GoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo!!!! Perfect, I'm writing up my training program for track right now, perfect 🛫
Amazing that an untrained amateur coach like Gjert Ingebrigtsen can change the way athletes train in Norway and further afield.
Yep. Although Gjert did get almost all of his ideas from Marius Bakken
@@Trackstaa_ Thanks I didn't know that. Can I ask what is the most commonly used lactate monitor in the UK ?

@@And-rc9yy good luck with the training
Eliminate the word "like" and the interview would be 3 minutes long.
