Most of what I hear nowadays talk about Jesus as the king but the book of Hebrews teaches us that Jesus is currently our high priest. One day, Jesus will be crowned the king of kings that day has not happened yet. David was anointed as king long before he actually became the king. Jesus who is the son of David has been anointed as the king but he will not step into that role until he comes back at the second coming.
