Thanks for introdcing this show to me and making these reactions. This show is so entertaining and since i dont have friends who watch BL shows i cant rant to anyone when these character do like the craziest thing, But watching you react i feel like i have a buddy! thanks for sharing you reaction.
Ray flip flops the most, he is the most mentally unstable character (I guess owing to his alcoholism problem), that being said every time we see his best side, he is always with Sand. That small line where Ray said he will go to rehab for Sand and then Sand corrects him by saying "dont go for me, go for your self", that part i dont think that part clicked with Ray since Ray doesnt love himself at all, also the reason why he is so self destructive It was so hard for Nick to move on and he folded right back immediately...what magic does Boston have hehe
really enjoy your reactions! Thank you for reacting to OF! SandRay are really close to my heart- a memorable love story and FirstKhaotung brought them to life so poignantly beautifully unforgettably 👏🏼⭐️💛❤️☀️✨ Neo Mark Force Book were all great too ! great mature series and not only b/c of "skin" scenes !
Firstkhao are the BEST when it comes to emotional and crying scenes!! i always get so teary eyed when watching them! especially when they are acting off each other. Khao did a great job showing extreme emotion during their fight while First showed restrained emotion. you can see him trying to hold back his tears and it's so impressive! love those two!!
I don't want to seem like i'm defending all of Ray's actions but I have some thoughts. For me I think Sand and Ray might seem or even be "toxic" but I think the reason Ray acts how he acts (emotionally) with Sand is 1. Because Sand let's him and 2. Because he feels safe enough to; now i'm not saying its okay (he says some out of pocket things and goes too far which isn't okay). But, look at Ray's life and "support system" he feels unloved and unwanted by his father (his father does love him but from Ray's POV he doesn't), his friends all call him a burden when he's drunk, dismisses his feelings because "you're just drunk" and even Mew initially dismissed his feelings when Ray called him literally saying goodbye to him (He did come to realize something was wrong luckily though). He numbs his feeling with alcohol so he never really has "Big emotions". In a way he's like a child who doens't understand how to handle big emotions. Then Sand comes into the picture and doens't immediatley make him feel bad for feeling; he let's him lash out and have outbursts, he let's him have his emotions and once he's done and has calmed down he talks and tells him like hey you can't treat me like that. He makes it known that yes he cares about him but he won't just sit around and wait for him or let him keep treating him this way. He sticks by him (sometimes even if he maybe shouldn't) and he helps him. Ray feels safe with Sand subconsiously and he just really realized it with that speech he gave at the end, he realized that Sand is his person and he potentially just lost him for good. Sand has been the only person that sticks around for Ray, his friends kind of turned ther backs on him, dismiss his emotions, constantly call him a burden (again not saying he doens't need to be held accountable just giving my opinion on why he acts this way) It's sort of reminds me of when a child is at home and feels safe they are a complete meneace but when they go to school or other peoples houses they're quiet and on their best behavior; It's because they know they can have and show their big emotions at home and they won't get hurt their parent will help them calm down and give them comfort where as outside of their home they don't necessarily feel unsafe but they don't have that feeling of complete and total safety like at home if that makes sense.
please after this do Not Me the series, it is so good. I love your reactions. I always find and realize new things in the series because of you notice so much stuff.
Omg I’ve recently became a subscriber of yours! I discovered you through your Only Friends reactions, I absolutely love this! Do you have an upload schedule or a twitter or anything ❤️
What I disslike is "going to rehab for anyone else!" except yourself that gives off the impression people can get sober for their families and friends when in the end it only works if you do it for yourself and yourself alone.
I'm so happy you gave us this reaction my second fav episode is 12 so I can't wait to see that and the next ep will be good as well can't wait to see your thoughts on next ep thanks for the reaction
Hi Sophie, I am just curious about what is happening? It's been over a month since you've posted anything, and before that, there was a months break as well. I hope everything is okey? Sincerely, Marie
Okey, so here are my thoughts - and I have a lot, so brace yourself 😅 Honestly, I am really annoyed by the storyline and narrative of Boston in this episode, because I feels like the beginning of a redemption arc. To me it seems like they're setting it up like he's reforming and that we're suppose to feel sympathy for him now. But I hate that it's based on the one thing he didn't do. For me it just doesn't work. I see him doing and saying the same things to Nick now as he did the first time around, he even purposly showed him the screensave - knowing it would affect him. Basically just sweet talking him and manipulating him. And the fact that he asks Nick the questions in this order 1) why does everyone hate me 2) why can't I stop hurting people - that proves to me, that deep down he's still not getting it and still trying to portray himself as the victim, without taking accountability. Because anyone would recognise or be selfawareness to the point that they would have understood the correlation between the two, and asked the other way around. So maybe they aren't actually setting him up for redemption, but rather lulling us into a false sense of security in order to make the final blow even more bigger? During the episode I kept thinking of Mew repeatedly said "Ray is the one I *should* love" - and I think that's how Nick feels about Daddy Dan. He recognises that Dan objectively is the better choice, that it's healthier, that it would bring him a content and peaceful life - problem is, he doesn't feel it. He just doesn't have that exciting and thrilling feelings and experience with Dan as he had with Boston. And so while he should go with Dan, he simply can't, because he's not ready to let go of the feeling Boston gives him yet. The Boeing-Top-Mew thing confused me, mostly because we still don't know what Boeing's intentions are. I guess we have to wait to make any real assessment about him until we find out about his motive. All we really know is that he isn't the the better choice he's trying to paint himself as, because we know Top "stole" him from Sand, so basically he's also a cheat. But we know Mew, so why is he playing along with the "let's make Top jalous" bit? He litterally just played that game with Ray, so why start a new game? I absolutely loved the scene of Ray confronting Sand about the dad giving him money. Not so much for that part par se, but the whole scene was an incredible portray of how addicts think and react: How their logic is slightly off, how their memory is skewed, how their emotions run high, how they deflect, how they turn around and point fingers at others, and how they riducule their loved ones showing emotions - using feelings as a weapon. It was so realistic! As someone who's been through that, my sister is a recovered alcoholic, I have been in that exact situation more than once. And there really is nothing to do, you can't reason with them at that point, because their glasses are broken by the alcohol - and so they can't see straight! I also really appreciate Ray mentioning the issue of Sand making booze, and how in the long term that will be a problem for him. Becuase the reality is, that when your loved ones go into rehab (in-patient or out-patient) trying to recover, you have to make changes too, if you want to help them fight the addiction. You are a co-addict. It may seem unfair, but that's just how it is. And I predict this will become an issue for this friend group and their unhealthy dynamic, because their whole life seems to revolve around the party- and drinking scene. And if that continues, they will eventually enable Ray's addiction. You can't drink or be drunk in the presence of someone recovering, especially in the early stage. Just the smell and proximity can set them off! On the flip side of loving the scene of Ray confronting Sand, I am really torn about the last scene of Ray's therapy session talking to a fake Sand. I really appreciate therapy being used and displayed in the first plase, because usually BL's use the trope that the other person's love can fix any problem. But tbh I really didn't like the theraputic tool of having Ray talk to "Sand". First of all it made it feel more like a make believe couples therapy session, second the session ended up having no focus on the alchol problem, third essentially it gave off the energy of falling into that trope of love will fix the problem, and fourth while making amends is indeed part of recovery, it doesn't make sense at this early stage - I mean, Ray hasn't actually admitted his addiction, so how can he take accounterbility for it and apologise for his actions and behvior during? And so while Khaotung's acting was fantastic, I just couldn't emotionally commit to it - because the whole thing rubbed me the wrong way!

Sand maybe saying he's doing ok without his father but deep down he's never had a dad and really wants to get to know him and become family.

This is totally off topic, but I really recommend the show “The middleman’s love” which is basically the second show of Bed friend
What I disslike is "going to rehab for anyone else!" except yourself that gives off the impression people can get sober for their families and friends when in the end it only works if you do it for yourself and yourself alone.
