Mine goes dead when plugging or unplugging the charge cord. Just goes blank, and when it comes back on, it resets to zero and I have to reset the clock. I wanna throw this piece of shit against the wall.

It will only show 24h clock setting as there is no am/pm on the display.
You can try pressing "M" button for about 2 seconds or until the clock display switches between 12H and 24H

Maybe you have a battery issue. The only thing I dislike about this is that it has no 12 hour settings.
