Last season I made this from your design, and it's brilliant 😀. Just rewatched it for this season's fruit wrapping to see if there's any improvement (to make it more robust).
Update: I inserted some thin springy steel (from an old saw blade, cut to size and bent round, to fit) inside the plastic bottle to strengthen it. By being more robust, it's easier to place elastic bands in position more quickly, without worrying that the device will collapse.
I was searching TH-cam for saving my mangoes and sapota from bats stealing them. Very good idea. Thank You. Here in Southern India it rains June to September. Putting a small hole in the bottom of the plastic bag will allow the water to drain off. A little spray of neem oil on the outside of the bag will work as deterrent to fruit flies.
For bats. Hang some magnets of a discarded speaker. The echoes of the bats will be distorted and the will not get to the frui.

Great idea for climates where there is no rain falling during the fruiting season.
In parts where rain falls on the crop, those bags will fill with water until they get so heavy they fall off.
The fruit would have been sitting in moisture inside the bag on hot days so in tropical parts, it would go rotten unfortunately.
But please please spare the viewer the crinkle sounds by using a pair of scissors to cut the bottle.
First use the pointed knife to make the hole then change to scissors to cut around the bottle.
Or pinch the bottle to cut with scissors to make initial cut first.
