@@ef3405 Well, yeath, but what also contributed to her coming in second could have been that many people always voted for Derek. He could have been dancing with a stuffedalligator or a coat rack. They voted for him and not who he was with. Kelly was good; but as Len said great dancing = Zendaya.

I want Hip Hop back again to DWTS at least once this season after Zendaya & Val also Bethany & Mark did that... I miss variety routines.. also I want Jitterbug back..
Marsha Evelyn I liked when they had a specific week with everyone dancing a non-ballroom dance style, especially in season 15 where they had two different weeks of outside dances. Shawn & Derek’s Mambo and Bhangra, Gilles & Peta’s Bollywood, Kelly & Val’s Contemporary and Melissa & Tony’s Jitterbug were all great. The season 19 week was pretty good with Alfonso, Sadie, Janel, Bethany and Lea but the show made a mistake combining it with switch-up week, it was like starting from scratch midway through the season with new partners AND new styles.
It’s so weird to see a guest be better than the instructor lmao (I’m not knocking Val it’s just when you’ve been a hip hop dancer for a while it’s really clear when someone just learned compared to someone who’s done it a while. Val didn’t do bad at all though trust me!)
Is it weird to say that Val actually kept the dancesport finess that he has with him? Sometimes his posture and the way he rolled his body are really reminiscent of his training, which is really cool. He is quite loose here compared to normal dancing already, but not as loose or hard-hitting as I normally see in hip-hop. But I think it is amazing for his first time and really suits the nerdy role he is playing. Give him a few more lessons though, and he'll be awesome.
And then 2 years later have lines with some of the biggest designers, become the main character of a top rated TV show AND be the first black MJ for SpiderMan.
