@@ChasingSnow when I was there the Penkenbahn was a pair of gondolas that always had a massive queue in the morning, a few double chairlifts and a rope lift for beginners at the top. Mind you in those days the skis were long and almost parallel and you strapped them to your ankle so they didn’t decapitate someone if they came off and shot down the slope.
The skis sound like fun, I would like to try them one day... I don't think anything is left from that time, I don't remember getting on any old double chairlifts...

First place I went skiing, didn’t recognise any of it but it was 50 years ago.

I haven't skied anything that long... maybe Soelden has a long one, 15km? The glacier was closed when I went, so I couldn't check it...
