My wife is currently experiencing stage 4 liver cancer, this has brought me closer to God, our Father, and now praying more, listening to scripture, and scouring for answers to the type of questions Pastor Mark covers. Thank you for helping me Father, and bringing me closer to you through your will! Continue working in my life, Lord! Please point me in the correct direction, for helping my children and grandchildren and friends closer to you! I hope that what I'm hearing is your voice Father.... and that I'm not crazy. I ask that all of us searching for you find you! ❤

I almost never comment on things but just want to say thanks if you happen to see it. My wife and I are in the midst of quitting my job and moving across the country. We have three kids 3 years old, 2 years old, and 3 months old. There is almost no one alive left in our families who believes in God truly while my great grandfather and wife's grandfather were both preachers. This departure is apparent and we are creating distance for the sake of our marriage, our children, and our legacy. From generational curses to finding God's will we have gone from living and sleeping together unmarried to teaching our children to pray every night thanks to you and pastor's like you who tell the truth.

Thank you, I've been watching your preaching for a few months now. I go to Sunday service, Wednesday night and watch your channel every week. I was a Luke warm Christian for many years and early last year around January I felt the holy spirit to read and know the Bible like it was really important. This was when I was working construction in klamath falls oregon away from my wife and kids. Every day I would listen to the Bible being read on spotify on the way to work, on my way home and the evening before bed. I've felt a connection and dedication I've never experienced and I'm so grateful for it. Thank you for also being a dedicated spiritual leader.

Excellent question and great answer to it and sermon Pastor Mark! Sharing it as well!
My wife said she has spent over 34 years as a born-again Christian living life on that 'high wire' as you put it, and felt like God was anxiously standing next to it ready to poke her off of it, because of all the preaching she's been receiving over the years. That's how she perceived God and I didn't even realize that. Because of your sermons and teaching like this, she truly loves knowing now how loving for us, our Father is. She's able to truly praise him for His everlasting love for us.
Thank you for your anointed preaching and teaching Pastor Mark. God bless you! Praise Jesus!

Yup, because the ultimate form of love is giving a choice. I was telling an ex-girlfriend this recently because I wouldn’t fight for her when she didn’t think she wanted to be with me anymore. She knew how much she meant to me even though she claimed that she didn’t. I’ve bent over backwards and showed her I loved her, but I explained to her that real biblical love is giving her a choice. I wanted her happy whether I am in her future or not. Christ like love is giving a choice and suffering with them.

Sometimes it's nice to clearly know your calling in life early on.
It's also nice that you actually enjoy it.
What about the rest of us?
Some of us can never get what we enjoy.

    • @jenniferwyatt8945
      @jenniferwyatt8945 หลายเดือนก่อน

God is not silent- His answers are clear- the hardest part for all of us ...is that God's will for the solution is not what we want to hear. You will hear God more and more clearly as you let go of the things in this world that will not matter much later on. First, look at what it means to let go of yourself- it is hard, but never impossible. Then, as you go through your day, the thoughts are all about how you can show God to others by the way you treat, care for, serve, and love all others. Humans just want, want & want things- they think that they will be happy - but being happy is not why we were created- this earth is a place we practice unconditional love- we also practice our desire to be thankful and grateful- not angry or destroyed whether things are going well or things seem hopeless- we will be living out our purpose when we can love God and others no matter what!! It requires faith & trust & hope- then there comes a peace beyond all understanding.

How can Pastor Mark Driscoll know that God is speaking to him even a little bit at a time?
How does he know that it is not just his own thoughts telling him what he wants to hear?
Maybe his mind tells him a few things he doesn't want to hear just so he can delude himself into thinking he is hearing from God.
It's extremely unlikely that God would tell anyone everything they want to hear.
A few things, yes, but not everything.

  • @johnhammertron

Many people know what they want to do.
Why is God standing in their way?
Why is God preventing them from doing what they want to do?
Here are some clear and obvious examples:
Blind people would like to drive and paint pictures.
Why is God preventing them from doing these things?
Why is God making blind people blind?
Most people don't want to have to work under other people's authority.
Why did God "annoint" some people to be in authority over others?
Why did God make it impossible for people to get out of their lower positions in life?
These examples could go on and on and on.

How to stop it and prevent it?
Failure to stop it would be really severe consequences for you.
Why would God allow someone to do that and get away with it?

How thoroughly should a person be checking the Bible?

If people don't hear clearly then God needs to speak more clearly.
Has God forgotten that he made some people disabled?
As a result of that decision God is going to have to adjust how he speaks to people so they actually can get the message.
If people aren't getting the message it is because God doesn't want them to get the message and he wants them to suffer.
What kind of God is that?

It would be great if God/Jesus would make himself clearly and unambiguously known.
How about a personal meeting like what Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Gideon, Matthew, and others got?
Or do the rest of us have to be better than those men?
The rest of us are better than those men because we might be able to have more faith in God with even less evidence of God.

All of this is Great and Inspiring, BUT, It is not as simple as it is sounding. I have been Praying, Praying, Fighting, Asking, Begging my Father for certain Directions for a Music Ministry also for General Life Purposes and Will and it just seems as though He is just Silent and allowing me to make all the Wrong, Bad Decisions and then say....Welp You should'nt have made that decision, well you screwed up again so now you will have to deal with the consequences, I just feel like He is not ever gonna show me directly or say to me directly what my Purpose in the World is other than Serving Him, Loving Him and Others. I am not feeling like i am Fulfilling my Purpose but everything i get into FAILS, and I am unsure still.

I've struggled with this myself. I'm a new Christian and the only thing I can come up with is that God said "vengeance is mine and I will repay". Other than that I don't have a great answer and have asked for some guidance from God myself on this.

@@JohnUSMC0311 I've heard that line before: "Vengeance is mine. I will repay."
It's bad enough that we are wronged and hurt.
It's even worse when the people that hurt us get away with it and suffer no consequences in life.
How does God punishing them after we die help us in life?
Our lifves are destroyed and can never get it back.
Job only suffered for one day and then God gave him back everything he had lost plus even more on top of that. And that happened while he was still alive. It doesn't say that the people who hurt him (whoever the devil used to kill his family and livestock) were punished in life.
However, the fact that God gave Job more than he had lost easily makes those people inconsequential - as long as they never harm him again.
Why doesn't God give us more than we have lost in our life times when rotten people harm us and steal from us and destroy our lives and reputations?

I used to feel that way too brother. For almost 40 years I watched people "get away" with evil demonic things directly in my life and in the lives of those that I love. From r*pe and m*lestation to severe mental and emotional ab*se. It took time to find out the truth. But God's word says He pays back perfectly what is owed for our sin. I do believe sometimes it's only paid back in hell (for eternity) but I've also come to find its sometimes paid here on earth too. From grandfather's who were praised as perfect men. To later finding out they may have raped their own daughter and finding out 30 yrs or so after their death that they died writhing and screaming in pain from the cancer that consumed them. Or the uncle who raped his own sister and then tried to rape his niece. He mentally and physically abused people his whole life. It seemed as if he'd gotten away with it, until he was in his 60's and while on another drunken bender was run over by not one, but two cars. He suffered severe brain injuries that resulted in trauma based alzheimers. He died within 10 years with severe PTSD from war that caused him to panic and scream. He forgot he could walk even though the Drs said he was fine physically. So the attendants in the nursing home would find him crawling on his belly dragging himself across the floor trying to escape whatever it was he thought was happening in his mind. Or the mother who was so mentally abusive (physically too) seeming as if she's fine at 65, but only 2 or 3 people in her life knowing she is severely depressed. Constantly anxious. Unable to sleep. Miserable from the moment she wakes until the anxiety hits at night and she has chest pains and dizzy spells and suffers for hours until she can finally pass out. I promise you that these evil, broken, and demonic filled/oppressed people are not happy and absolutely will not get away with it. They are truly miserable even if no one else can see it at the moment. People like them don't prosper. There is no life in them only death. And their evil deeds are nothing more than claw marks they try to leave behind to prove they were ever here. Because this speck of life on earth is all they'll ever get. And that's why I can forgive all. And if I can be completely honest feel sorry them and dont celebrate their demise. My God is a just God. And a true promise keeper. I'd be terrified to think what else is coming for them if they never repent and come to Christ. So keep your eyes on Him brother. And repent for ever questioning who He is. He loves you and they will pay for what they've done even if you never get to know about it.

      @@Trucker1487 I certainly hope so.
For a while I had thought that I would like to see them be judged and be handed really harsh punishments for the wrongs they've done. Now, I'm thinking maybe don't even want to be bothered with them. I'd probably be happier never having to interact with such rotten people ever again. Maybe, I'll change my mind and at least want to know if they actualy get punished.
At the moment I am most concerned about the harm done in this life and the last repercusions. The wrongs in life need to be remedied.
If the wrongs in life are not corrected then it looks like God is letting rotten people get away with it.
      That just isn't right!

I've never heard of a Christian being possessed by a demon. I wasn't aware that was possible. I've learned a lot in the last few years but I've never heard that. Not saying I disagree it's just a new concept to me. Or is he talking about demon oppression as opposed to possession.

    Why enjoy God?
Why pray to God? Especially when he doesn't answer those prayers.
Surely everyone has noticed all the suffering in the world and all the disabled people in the world.
Every single one of those people have at least prayed once to have the suffering ended or the disability cured.
How is it possible to enjoy God when he ignores people?

God will make people go where he wants them to go.
God had a fish swallow a guy (I don't remember who" and hold him in its stomache for three days.
If God wants you in California or Detroit against your will then he'll have something swallow you until you give in.
People don't have choices even if they are trying to go north.
Going to California or Dtroit would be like getting an end of life sentence.
God tends to off people however, whenever, and wherever he wants.
Some people get to go to Arizona and have a nice life.
    Others are not so lucky.
There are plenty of disabled people and other people in horrible situations with no choices.
There's really no justice in this kind of nonsense.
