    For anyone who doesn't have milk cotton yarn in their country, I've found that caron simply soft worsted has about the same gauge

    Just finished making the shirt!! The tutorial was super easy to follow and I’m now left with a beautiful piece! I even made it with two colors so the sleeves, cuffs, bottom cuff, and collar are all light green while the main piece is dark green! Very happy with the finished product. :)

    making notes for myself! (will edit and add more as i watch it in pieces)
    supplies: milk cotton yarn size 4 ply 250g (will need more bc i plan to make it longer)
    4.5 (for everything except ribbing) and 3.5 (for ribbing) mm hooks
    stitches used: single crochet, slip stitch, and half double crochet
    FRONT OF THE TOP
    the foundation chain is the height of the top
    slip knot then 80 chains (about 15 inches height) i will make more bc i want the top longer but it has to be an even number of chains
    ribbing at the bottom: skip one chain then do a slip stitch
    use a stitch marker to mark the first slip stitch. do 9 more slip stitches.
    rest of the front of the top: moss stitch (after doing the ribbing, do 1 single crochet, chain 1, and skip 1 chain till the end of the row. use stitch marker to mark the first single crochet)

    I’m crocheting this piece based on your pattern. It’s a really cute polo shirt 😍😍😍The only thing I’m going to change is the back. I’m gonna make some room for the neck, so that it’ll sit more anatomically correct on my body, cause I did notice that it drags up a bit in the front on you.

    This is really a lovely pattern and excellent tutorial! Just getting to the sleeves now- I adapted the starting chain a bit to start with slip st rows before the moss. My tension was poor and resulted in a loosey goosey edge before I switched it up. Worked up perfectly! Also used Lion Brand Truboo yarn instead- it's category 3 lighter weight yarn somewhere between DK and worsted. Resulting gauge was a bit smaller but I adjusted and it's fabulous.

    I'm an absolutely beginner. I'm stuck at row 26-29. At row 26, you wrote "ch1, turn,sc ch1 space". Then when i came to row 29, I had 4 last stiches (it's supposed to be only 3). And if I did *ch1, turn, ch1, sc in ch1 space* at row 26, then I had 3 last stiches at the end of row 29. I wonder if I was doing wrong or you missed ch1 at row 26 in ur description?

      @bryleemiddleton9447 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @sumehra3081
      @sumehra3081 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bryleemiddleton9447 Ahhhh i feel the frustration. I restarted and it curves again and I tried 2 more times and it all curved so I just didn't make the shirt. But if you want to make it you can make the moss stitches and everything normal and the collar without the extra 10 slip stitches and instead make a seperate ribbing and sew it on with a darning needle

    • @manzanafresosa
      @manzanafresosa 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was a long time ago, and I hope you already finished the top, but If you don't, and still wanna try~
      I don't know what do you mean with "curve", but if it's in the 'sl st blo' part, it's normal, cuz is the spring(?) of the top, even in the video can see that curve, and maybe depends on the tension you use in your stitches can make the curve more visible, but don't worry it's okay

    This is definitely not for beginners, i keep trying and make progress and then i make a mistake that I can't find and have to star again, i have try 4 times already 😭

      No te rindas, te va a quedar bien, no sé dónde te estés equivocando, pero si estás haciendo talla diferente, sólo trata de que sean similares y si haces menos cadenas de inicio, recomiendo que el resorte lo hagas más chico porque yo hice 74 cadenas base, con 10 puntos de resorte, y el escote tuve que reducir de 15 a 7 puntos porque sino quedaba muy escotado :').. Igual sigo trabajando en ello, a ver cómo resulta al final 😖

      @@valeriatte do it if you want to, I already finished it and I loved it, buuut take the correct measurements, I used "candy" yarn, and at beginning my chains were 16inc, but at the end the stitches were 15inc 😂💔.. Even with the stitches, if you make more/less, will have to make corrections for the middle and the spring(?) to look better; and remember at the start must be pair chains, then the none stitches but only that, the rest of the top it's pretty easy.. Hope I'm being clear 😅

      @@manzanafresosa thank you for your kind explanation. I just kinda worried it gonna be too small for me, since I have a bigger body. And the worst thing is I only have 250gr of yarn. If I'm using bigger crochet hook, will it help?

      @@valeriattesorry for the late reply, personally I think that if you use a bigger hook you'll need more yarn, but idk.. But if you have another yarn make a test and use different type of hook, maybe making a square of 10st x 5row to see what is better, even if you don't have another, make it with the first hook, take a photo and measure it, then make it again with the other hook and yes, you'll have to use math for an approximate(?)..
      In my case, used the same hook that Chenda, the yarn was 100% acrylic and use a ball(?) of 200g and a little bit of another, let me check the weight and tell you later, even the measurements but I'll left on another comment 😅
