- Painting Through the Pain - A Day on the Valiant Lady
One of the more memorable moments from our eventful cruise was the day Danny helped me out of the cabin to attend the Painting & Boozy Bevvies class. As you may recall, I’d been mostly confined to our cabin with my broken foot, but this class sounded too good to miss, and I needed a creative escape.
Despite the pain, I was determined to enjoy the class - and let’s be honest, the promise of unlimited champagne definitely sweetened the deal! With Danny's help, I hobbled over to the art studio. The energy was light and fun, filled with fellow cruisers ready to unleash their inner artists.
As the brushes began to stroke the canvas, I found myself immersed in the world of color, enjoying the therapeutic release of painting. The champagne flowed freely, and while it may have helped numb the pain of my broken foot, I think it also influenced my creative process - for better or worse! Let’s just say my painting may not be a masterpiece, but it was definitely unique (or maybe a little *tipsy*)!
It was the perfect blend of art, laughter, and bubbly. I’m grateful for Danny, who made sure I could still enjoy this little adventure despite my injury. It’s a day I’ll never forget - not just for the art or champagne, but for the reminder that even with a few setbacks, you can still find joy in the small, unexpected moments.
