@@TheMiaTaylor7 You have to admit, the hard once-per-turn clause _shared_ by all three effects of each one is pretty harsh (arguably more so nowadays than in the past: the need for efficient follow-up or alternative plays if your initial one is interrupted has only increased; in 2013 you might have won even if you pass one turn on a full graveyard and nothing else but that doesn't work anymore).
I prefered a build with AppleDragon to the rose engine. Also cards like Veiler are superb since they are also a lvl 1 synchro to go into chaos Ruler. Also Ariseheart is an incredibly funny card in the deck. Make him with 3 Dragon rulers and you get a Triple search of them being banished.
I've been playing a Dragon Ruler Armed Dragon Dragunity deck in MD since Tempest came back to 1 a while back. With the right ratios the deck has some gas and is less vulnerable to disruption. The babies are good but Pile Armed Dragon is just better. Downside of course being the deck building restriction he places on you. I like your build though. I haven't been using Tomahawk because it's an extra and main deck hog, but might mess around with it now that we have more rulers.

If you dont run the Rose Engine you could try Sekkas Light and Apple dragon as the tuners. And against Maxx-C Droll is a very strong option since the whole Auroradon combo with an Apple dragon in grave can be done under Droll.
I know the Bystial package is tricky to run in this but I've seen Dragunity manage to fit in Etude as an extra way to Synchro on the opponent's turn, which is pretty cool and also forces banishes on their Ritual, Fusion, Synchro and Link materials.
If only Galaxy Eyes Dark Matter Dragon was still legal. 🙂 J/k Hieratic Ruler was fun for a week when that happened in the TCG. But man, it is very nostalgic for those who played in 2012. First actual cohesive modern dragon ruler deck finally, I feel like they’re missing atleast two extra deck monsters to make them a meta contender though to extend.
The thing is, they can go with the kashT package but they get more bang for their buck with using more dragon plays they need a searcher, almost like how all new decks play, they need either a 1 card combo or a spell/ trap removal, special summon/ search and a negate and destroy. But they don’t have floaters.
red eyes black meteor dragon would also be a neat edition if you can fit it since it synergies well with gama and its also a lvl 7 dragon when it hits the field
I prefer playing them in kash personally, they have a really funny interaction with arise as when you detach them with its effect you get to search for heaps more dragon rulers as it triggers their banish effect. Super fun to play, though It can brick.
What do you think of the thunder armed dragon version, honestly not sure if thunder dragon rulers are in the game or not but I would love to hear your thoughts regardless.
Tomohawk turbo can end up a lot powerful end board. There is multiple varriant of end board from tomohawk turbo. However the cons, of tomohawk turbo your have to play 1 to 3 garnet which cause brick to your hand. For druler if your draw garnet your don't have alternative combo to do unlike Kashtira if draw garnet there just can go for generic Kashtira combo as plan B combo. However Kashtira rarely play tomohawk turbo as there already have lot consistency issue, and playing tomohawk will cause even more consistency issue due to garnet their to play, which is why most player will choose Kashtira / raidraptor deck or Kashtira scareclaw deck, for pottential double floodgate from double heart monster, tri heart and arise heart. For Druler, tomohawk turbo is the only way their can go plus bonus have dragon doomrider for extra monster quick effect negation. Tips, your can used tidal and redox in Kashtira to get consistency special summon of Kashtira from GY.
I need to know what happened to all the people who said the rulers couldn't come back because they would be broken in Dragon link. Rulers have always only ever been at their best from turn 3 onwards. D link were far too fast + consistent to ever consider nerfing themselves by playing any dragon ruler
I think the baby rulers are the 4th or 5th best dragon starter. The big rulers are super low on my list of extenders. I think the rulers would be worth considering if we got new dragons that aren't light or dark. The search effect adding another baby just isn't good enough in 2023.
When you realise that Dragon Rulers are being more "balanced" than 2020s era cards. All of their effects are HOPT and can only use 1 effect per turn. I've heard someone said "this is just Kashtira but worse. Why it was banned?"
I know this video is about dragon rulers but tears is so disgusting being able to play through colossus + 2 negates and call by without forbidden/dark ruler no more/ishizu cards without immediately scooping.

Problem is there are few good search targets for any of the elements besides other copies of themselves.

Most of the time you should not, you should have at least 1 free zone so after you summon Auroradon you still have 3 slots left for the tokens.

I hate the auroradon combos, they are so unoriginal and not even good. Its always the same
