Hello. I am not selling the scanners, I am just using them as a hobby. You can contact several companies selling the units. In my Video, I am using Systems from Datalogic and Keyence, but others offer them as well, like e.g. COGNEX and others. Lots of success!

    Hello Hannes.
Do you have any experience in host mode programming of Datalogic Matrix series readers?
I've had some difficulties with host mode programming. I can get data via Ethernet from reader, but can't send program string from host to scanner (no response from scanner).
Maybe you know how to send any commands to scanner via Ethernet?
    Thanks in advance.

Hello Pavel, I have never tried sending data TO the scanner, I was always using the setup software for this. Can you explain which command you intend to send and what the problem is?

Hannes, the problem was really simply. I tried to connect to scanner using port "51236" instead of host mode programming port "1023". Once the connection is established, you should send "[C" and "[B" commands to the reader to switch him in host mode. Then you can send any program commands (get device information, change configuration, set match code, e.t.c.). At the end you should exit host mode using "[A" command.

I am trying to create prototype using 2 Datalogic Matrix scanners like on your video But i have to scan 2 codes simultaneously (from side and top). Therefore i have to bind readers in 1 network using Datalogic ID-NET solution. Once i will do it i will show you, off coarse if you have interest, my testing model :)

    What one would you recommend?

Hello. This depends very much on various parameters. From a purely technical standpoint, the Keyence SR-1000 is definitely the better one. This is mainly due to the better Software interface with more options to adjust. It's more professional and allows to change more parameters. However Keyence of course has a heavy price tag so if budget is an issue, I would reccoment the Datalogic M300N. It can do almost everything the Keyence can do, is just as fast in scanning, but their software Interface is a little ... complicated. All works in the end but it's not as straightforward and userfriendly. I would NOT reccomend the Keyence USB Scanner (although it's fast but USB is not a good interface). So, in general: if budget is irrelevant, go for Keyence. If You care about budget, take the Datalogic and you get the same performance with a little bit of more "playing" with not perfectly straightforward software. Let me know your experiences! Have fun and greetings from Berlin

@@TheArrowdynamics Ever gotten the chance to play with a Cognex Dataman reader?

@@user-yw5hl9wi5k Hello Evans. Unfortunately not. I made the video with my private budget, and the scanners are expensive. If any Cognex-Sales/Marketing Representative reads this, I will be happy to include a Cognex Dataman in my system and make a video if you provide one. :-) (same is true for image recognition systems)
