      The whining! Why?
      The commercials add to the nostalgia and experience. If you don't like them, just skip them, but some of us enjoy them.

      Becuase Liggett & Myers sponsored the radio *and* TV versions of "GUNSMOKE" at the time- and they were competing with other tobacco companies to sell their brands.
