When people make those comparisons of Bishop (a fictional movie character) and Tupac I feel those people really didn't know Tupac and as such despite also being rappers, were still mad ignorant about what movies were since film characters are about as real as cartoon characters... see some of things George Lucas said himself cause way back people were critical of his films as fantasy yet he pointed it out... those based on a true story movies are shot for barely a couple hours at most, the sets are sound controlled and crowd controlled... most times the film sets are props aka fake and especially when they drive in movies its all made with tricks and angles because the purpose is to male entertainment... if they really did the stunts and car chases and jumps there would be way too much chaos with that. But also it kinda diminishes Tupacs roles in films and television shows... in Poetic Justice Tupac is very convincing in his role but his character did lack some flaws which is about writing however when you watch Janet Jackson's scenes, especially when she's supposed to deliver a dramatic effect in the scene, she is just not convincing at all... we probably bought it cause being fans of her back in the day but watching the movie on DVD and Blu Ray and it was a lackluster performance on her part... Then Tupac's minor roles as villains in Above the Rim and Bullet are actually very impactful...even though the scenes are shorter than the other characters. But in Gridlock'd and Gang Related his characters are different and very different from anything in previous movies... those movies were laying a groundwork that honestly got stopped because Tupac was spending too much time in NYC and allowing crooks like Puffy and Biggie to approach him as well as others. Digital Underground was kinda fading but in my opinion they were, based on older interviews like most artists being distracted by the parties, females, etc... so unlike their first couple of albums they weren't trying to make the club bangers... it was crazy that most of Deathrow Records early music was all club bangers but that was in part of Dr Dre going that route... so it really never was like Gansta music took over... It was a lot of fakery and hating coming from NYC circles and rapper envious that MC Hammer was making these smash hits that were highly danceable unlike most party rap that had too much verses and people not really noticing that.

When people make those comparisons of Bishop (a fictional movie character) and Tupac I feel those people really didn't know Tupac and as such despite also being rappers, were still mad ignorant about what movies were since film characters are about as real as cartoon characters... see some of things George Lucas said himself cause way back people were critical of his films as fantasy yet he pointed it out... those based on a true story movies are shot for barely a couple hours at most, the sets are sound controlled and crowd controlled... most times the film sets are props aka fake and especially when they drive in movies its all made with tricks and angles because the purpose is to male entertainment... if they really did the stunts and car chases and jumps there would be way too much chaos with that.
But also it kinda diminishes Tupacs roles in films and television shows... in Poetic Justice Tupac is very convincing in his role but his character did lack some flaws which is about writing however when you watch Janet Jackson's scenes, especially when she's supposed to deliver a dramatic effect in the scene, she is just not convincing at all... we probably bought it cause being fans of her back in the day but watching the movie on DVD and Blu Ray and it was a lackluster performance on her part...
Then Tupac's minor roles as villains in Above the Rim and Bullet are actually very impactful...even though the scenes are shorter than the other characters.
But in Gridlock'd and Gang Related his characters are different and very different from anything in previous movies... those movies were laying a groundwork that honestly got stopped because Tupac was spending too much time in NYC and allowing crooks like Puffy and Biggie to approach him as well as others.
Digital Underground was kinda fading but in my opinion they were, based on older interviews like most artists being distracted by the parties, females, etc... so unlike their first couple of albums they weren't trying to make the club bangers... it was crazy that most of Deathrow Records early music was all club bangers but that was in part of Dr Dre going that route... so it really never was like Gansta music took over...
It was a lot of fakery and hating coming from NYC circles and rapper envious that MC Hammer was making these smash hits that were highly danceable unlike most party rap that had too much verses and people not really noticing that.
