This is especially true today when you see the liberal left showing its true anti-Semitic colors against the Jewish people who have been among the biggest liberal left supporters. When the left had their 2020 riots and called for the death of police and labeled all white people as racists, did the Jews not realize it would only be a matter of time before the liberal left, led by Soros (with the money) and the squad (with the voice and public access), would turn on them?

President Trump has famously used this song’s lyrics on multiple occasions to make a point during his political rallies. He primarily uses it to warn Americans on the dangers of accepting immigrants. So he basically compares “the reptile” in the story to certain immigrants. According to him, allowing certain immigrants and refugees to enter and live in America can harm Americans just like the reptile harmed the woman in the song. 1:11[Song Meanings and Facts]
The song was written by civil rights songwriter and actor, Oscar Brown Jr., who drew from one of Aesop’s Fables, The Farmer and The Viper, to write the lyrics to “The Snake”. The Farmer and The Viper has the moral that kindness to the evil will be met by betrayal and is the source of the idiom ‘to nourish a viper in one’s bosom’. 3:01 [Vancouver Signature Sounds]

But they will not be as strong as the first king. 23 “When the end comes near for those kingdoms, a bold and cruel king will come. This king will tell lies. This will happen when many people have turned against God. 24 This king will be very powerful. But his power will not come from himself. He will cause terrible destruction. He will be successful in everything he does. He will destroy powerful people and even God’s people. 25 This king will use his wisdom to make lies successful. He will think that he is very important. He will destroy many people without warning. He will try to fight even God, the Prince of princes! But that cruel king will be destroyed. And it will not be human power that destroys him.
His other Huge Hit was Show and Tell...Some good smooth soul like a Lou Rawls in some way. Yes I loved this song, the music the lyric and the message. Believe or not... When I was a kid, my mom sort of dated Al when he was playing drums in bars and nightclubs here in California. I was able to go once and got on stage and sang Long Tall Texan with him! True story. Didn't hear from him for decades and were pleasantly surprised to hear him on the radio finally. And my mom tried going back stage at his concert at Knott's Berry Farm but when security stopped her, she told them to tell Al my name. He came out and said, "Where's that Jeff at?" It was great. A super super nice human being. Sadly he passed in 2008 in Fontana, CA
It's a song you either love or hate. Personally speaking av followed northernsoul for 40 odd years and av heard the snake alot over the years. It's growing on me
When you truly understand how this song defines the basic stupidity of inviting a vicious POLITICAL construct - one that has the destruction of anything that disagrees with its ostensibly theological, but in reality, POLITICAL world view - into a predominantly Christian country, you will understand and respect how it foretells an inevitable result - one that cannot be avoided if that vicious political construct is allowed to grow to dominance. Past American leaders on both sides of the political divide - as well as President Trump - were very correct in pointing out how islam - totally intolerant of anything but islam - is deadly to any culture it invades. We certainly don't need to INVITE it here so it can destroy our culture. Just look at what is happening to Britain and most of the European and Scandinavian countries to see what will happen if we do. Islam is NOT benign or accepting of other political views and it certainly will not assimilate within other cultures. It comes down to either religious freedom free of islam or eventual total islamic dominance in any country into which it is transplanted.
Always loved this song. ‘You knew darn well I was a snake before you brought me in.’ Awesome commentary on human nature.

On her way to work one morning
Down the path along side the lake
A tender hearted woman saw a poor half frozen snake
His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew
"Oh well," she cried, "I'll take you in and I'll take care of you"
"Take me in oh tender woman (come on in)
Take me in, for heaven's sake (come on in)
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in tender woman," sighed the snake
She wrapped him up all cozy in a curvature of silk
And then laid him by the fireside with some honey and some milk
Now she hurried home from work that night as soon as she arrived
She found that pretty snake she'd taking in had been revived
"Take me in, oh tender woman (come on in)
Take me in, for heaven's sake (come on in)
Take me in tender woman," sighed the snake
Now she clutched him to her bosom, "You're so beautiful," she cried
"But if I hadn't brought you in by now you might have died"
Now she stroked his pretty skin again and then kissed and held him tight
But instead of saying thanks, that snake gave her a vicious bite (oh...)
"Take me in, oh tender woman (come on in)
Take me in, for heaven's sake (come on in)
Take me in tender woman," sighed the snake
"I saved you," cried that woman
"And you've bit me even, why?
And you know your bite is poisonous and now I'm gonna die"
"Oh shut up, silly woman," said the reptile with a grin
"You knew damn well I was a snake before you brought me in
"Please take me in, oh tender woman (come on in)
Take me in, for heaven's sake (come on in)

Sighed the snake
"Take me in, tender woman"

" king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences"
" set time of the end."
" This king will use his wisdom to make lies successful. He will think that he is very important. He will destroy many people without warning. "
Daniel 8:19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.
20 The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.
21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
*In simpler English* .
19 He said, “Now, I will explain the vision to you. I will tell you what will happen later, in the time of God’s anger. Your vision was about the set time of the end.
20 “You saw a male sheep with two horns. Those horns are the kings of Media and Persia. 21 The male goat is the king of Greece. The big horn between its eyes is the first king. 22 After that horn broke, four horns grew in its place. Those four horns are four kingdoms. Those four kingdoms will come from the nation of the first king.
Best Northern soul
I love this and my favourite loud rawls is lady love
I was brought here by the love of Northern Soul music and I had loved this song since a child. Period.

Classic perfection ....keep the faith 😀
Finally found another piece of music... after severy years.
Such an awesome song. All true
Thanks so much, love it, President Trump's SONG now , too, BLESS YOU AL WILSON...
Trump IS the snake, a vile & venomous snake.
They should play it at the Trump rallies.

Great song! The lyrics remind me that most of my romantic relationships have been with snakes 😂
