Glad that we at least have these highlight videos for us international folks that can’t be there in person to watch. The “Welcome to Wrexham” doc has done its job. I’m now entirely too engrossed in following a team I never would have known about or followed otherwise. Really wish the league would get with the times so I could buy a streaming package and watch the games in real time! Living in USA, there is no way streaming is harming your ticket sales from my family :). Tried to order some merch and get jerseys and more for everyone here and the team shop is sold out of everything. Hopefully that speaks well of others seeing the documentary and becoming new fans and wanting to buy gear just like me. Team needs to order a lot more merchandise to meet the demand or missed revenue opportunity. I want home and away jerseys for the whole family :)

Like most here, I am watching these games and following this ream after being introduced to them from the TV series. What a great story. What a great distraction from all the bs around us everyday. Americans are loving this team bc it reminds them of so many of our forgotten and dying towns. Blue collar sport in a blue collar town. This kind of story is being told all around our country.....it feels good to support real people. I'm a fam of Wrexham now. Cardiff City fan here but first and foremost I'm a Welshman who is keeping tabs on Wrexham as I really want us to have 4 Welsh clubs in the football league again and also another academy for young Welsh players to flourish and have a Wrexham player in a Welsh starting 11 one day. But if Wrexham get promoted there's a chance he could make a squad as Jonny Williams and Chris Gunter still get picked and they're playing in a league just above Wrexham (league 2)

Just finished watching the latest episode of Welcome to Wrexham and last season Wrexham dropped points against Torquay with 84 minute equalizer, so a year later, this is an amazing revenge.

football novice here. so that almost goal by Torquay. @7:53 the commentators say it didn't cross the line but looking at it at least 1/3 of the ball is past the line (i looked at it at 0.25 speed on the video here) is the rule the ball has to fully cross the line or only partially? really hope Wrexham gets promoted this year. I admit I'm one of those dragged in by the doco series but love your guys enthusiasm for the team. cheers form Australia
hey mate unlike NRL or AFL here in aus where the line counts as in, in football (soccer) it needs to fully pass the line to consider out or goal. cheers
It has to be fully across the line. You'd be surprised how often a ball hits the cross bar, bounces down and very close to or even in as a goal and then bounces out because of the spin. It's not a huge amount, but probably more than you'd expect. The ball is usually moving so fast and the angle is so weird it can be hard to see. In the higher leagues and things like World Cup they now have cameras in the stadium that can detect if a ball actually crosses the line (sort of like the tech for knowing if a tennis shot is out or not, if you've ever seen that).

LOL, it's amazing how Wrexham has become this international sensation and is being followed by millions that never new they existed a year ago. Congrats, the best thing to happen was Rob and Ryan buying that club. Personally a Sheffield United (go Blades) fan and supporter from the U.S., but now also a Wrexham fan. Planning a trip in 2024 to see family and catch a Sheffield game, but now I am going to have to add a stop over in Wrexham as well, lol.
