Thank you very much for this video. I installed on of these tyres yesterday, and I'm sure I'd still be struggling with it today if I'd only got the instructions to rely on.
Impressive stuff, you got the tyre levered on in about 15 seconds! I noticed when I got my 26" Tannus tyre, it's a lot smaller than another normal 26" tyre I compared it to, maybe by about 1cm on the radius, so I can see how firmly these must stay on once fitted.
That Tyre looks really soft, when i tried to do mine, it was really difficult to seat the Tyre down into the rim, in fact i had to send my wheel and Tyre back to Tannus for them to use their machine and install it correctly.
WARNING: I just spent the entire night putting two tannus solid tyres on my brompton and the avengers came round to see what was causing such a massive surge of energy local to my position. Tannus tyres are NOT as easyto fit as this guy makes it look. I think this guy might be Eddie Hall's personal trainer or something. It is a NIGHTMARE to get Tannus tyres on your bike. Heed my warning.
I agree haha. But on the 2nd tire i got to put it on with 5mins only. Just put the tire under the sun for 15mins then stretch it reall good. Then put it around the rim one sided. Then walla start pressing the pins. Boom u got it bro👌 also ask a friend a help. Better
i have a strida with 16" wheels. the rear tyre is so thin and can't handle my weight of only 70kg and it nearly flattens when i sit on it lol i'm 5ft8 so the bike might be a little too small for me but it rides fine except for the rear tyre..could i install a tannus in my strida and would it support my weight better than a tube tyre? and not flatten out? because it's solid. my front tyre is fine doesn't flatten.
Have any tips on trying to mount these tires on my 16" rims? I get about 1/2 the tire on but just can't stretch the rest over the rim. I gave up after an hour and had to trash the tire. I'm wondering if 20" will work?
Use a zip tie to secure the part of the tire already in the rim. As you go along, add more zip tie. I found this way to be easier to install this tire.
MY WIFE HAS EPIC 30 MINUTE SHOWERS WITH SUPER HOT WATER, AND THE BATHROOM HEATER ON,I PUT THE TYRE IN THE BATHROOM,WAIT 15 MINUTES GO INTO THE BATHROOM,AND DO THE INSTALL,THE TYRES HOT,AND SLIPPERY,AND SOO MUCH EASIER TO INSTALL,I JUST SIT oN THE TOILET,OR EDGE OF BATH,this method does have a couple of set backs, the first is my wifes complaints, the second, and much worse is my wife may want to actually have a conversation, for this i recommend water proof ear buds,,YOUR WELCOME
Makes sense; I did similar years ago when installing solid tyres on a previous bicycle (not Tannus; long before they existed LOL) - in my case, I soaked them in a tub full of hot water.
By far the best video on this I’ve seen yet.
That’s the best installation video I’ve seen 👌🏻
Why don’t you do a long term review on Tanus tire pros and cons on the brompton ?!!
Thank you for the very useful and informative tutorial! Stay safe!

Thank you for that. My Brompton Tannus tyres are on their way to me now and your instructional video will be a great help.
Thanks for the Video, well presented and informative. I think I will buy a set for my Dahon folding bike. Queensland Australia.
thx. Nice tutorial, save people a lot of effort & time.
Thanks a lot for the video. Great instructions. My next tyre should be a Tannus. Thanks!!

Do you mean/see purple when you mean grey?

@@mustafahasan5296 I'll be putting the next set in the microwave first 😂
@@fraub1 im not sure about that haha
You made that look so easy, but I’m thinking it won’t be 😂
Is there any difference in ease of installation between the soft and firm tyres?
There seems to be somebody practicing guitar behind the microphone. Did nobody think to ask 'em to stop, while the video was being recorded?
thanks for the guide. why is it necessary to remove the rim liner?
He explained that the liner tends to ball up in the process of putting the tire on.

What size tannus tire do you need for a brompton? Got a 16x1.25-18x1.25 and it won't fit in the rim. Do I need to go lower than this size?
Have u been saved

Make sure your rim breadth is wide enough. Otherwise you will waste your money like me. Tannus need to inform better about this before buying
Shit wasn't easy in my experience
Frustrating! Unless you are a professional...
