I don't do a lot of tig welding but I really enjoy it if I have the time. I don't necessarily like how long it takes me to get set up so i tend to go for the process that gets me in and out the quickest and that is usually wire feed welding or stick. I have some alumimnum mig wire I've been meaning to try through so it might be good for stuff like this. 👍 cheers buddy 🙏👍
Talking about adapting a universal foot controller. I have just got a Variable amperage finger controller for my welder. (They can supply to most common brands). It's a godsend. If you are in some awkward place and you can't reach your pedal, then this is perfect. Does exactly the same thing. I love my foot controller, but there are times I just can't use it. Great video again Brandon. Loved it
@Basil Keen thats awesome! A foot pedal can be a hassle especially working in awkward confined spaces. A finger control would be a huge benefit. I think I'm going to look into it. Thanks for sharing buddy! 👍 🙏
Ain't nothing wrong with yes welders they are great machines not sure why people harp over a cheap machine I have several mechanic shops it's hard to justify spending 5 grand on 7 plus welders to supply my shops when yes welders work great for there price and in shops they get used and abused and haven't had any mechanic say they are junk all my mechanics as well as me love the yes welders and they are not babied at all @Brandon Lund
I'm a firm believer bud. I started out 30 plus year ago with a cheap chineese wire feed welder. If I had not been exposed to that I might have never been interested today. I have had zero issues with them.
Are you going to get a water cooled torch? I have the same machine and I want to see what torch you get and how it’s connected. Mine came from Yeswelder.
My old mate was lazy when doing tacks. He used the spot weld function, zapped around the job in no time flat. Me? well, we won't go into that. I can blow holes in anything at 25 amps, 🤣🤣🤣. 👏👏👏 👋👋👋
@Guy Anderson thanks man! If you scroll down in the video description I have some fronius links that will get you a discount off your order and it helps the channel a little also. Thanks again! 👍

Good tips and tricks about.
I never use tig welder but I think about getting one in the future.

Awesome thank you!
I welded aluminum with a stick welding rods, it's hard and looks bad but it works.
Sanding and preheating is the key for it.
@toolman talal I haven't tried stick welding with aluminum but I've heard it's difficult. I'm curious to try though. Thanks buddy!

@S Art thanks! 👍
This would be great practice for when I get some gas. I want to try my tig welding setup. I need to learn how to put it together lol
Absolutely! Projects like there are great to learn and brush up your skills 👍

How do you like the Vulcan Rods
I haven't had any problems with them. I have with their .030 mig wire though.
@@BrandonLund so I'm not the only one that had had issues with the Vulcan mig wire.. good to know the Vulcan Rods are good Rods
A great source to make those storage boxes is from ammo boxes
Great idea!

@@BrandonLund same no issues here either

@David Haywood at some point I will. I'm not sure which one yet
I'm with you, $5000 is way too much for a little bit of hobbyist Tig welding unless you are just swimming in cash!
Exactly!

👏👏👏 👋👋👋
@Pilot McBride I was having no problem blowing holes in it also lol
At least you do it with style, 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks man! 👍 👏👏👏😁
For your paddle... instead of your toe turn it around and your your heel
@nelson glass I will give it a try but it will probably be difficult at first
Try a 1/16 rod so the rod doesn't freeze the puddle
Great tip! 👍
How do you like your welding helmet? Is it worth buying?
@Guy Anderson I absolutely love it! ❤
I have a Miller elite and cannot stand the head gear on it. Definitely will be looking at the fronius helmet
@guy Anderson its innards are pretty much just like an adjustable hard hat and the included liner is super comfy!
@@BrandonLund nice, anywhere I could buy it that would support your channel?
