I've seen these guys over 20 times. They play how they feel. Sometimes they are in the pocket. Sometimes they don't want to be there. Their more intimate shows in little towns in Cali are the best. David came off the stage and danced with someone in the crowd once. It usually depends on David's mood!lol! But I am all in! love them!

These corporate shows are hell for the artists. I was at one that featured the inimitable Buckwheat Zydeco, and there were six people on the dance floor, including me and my partner. He deserved so much more, but the essence of a corporation is; nobody stands out.

My favorite moment of this show is during La Bamba when Cesar just goes off on the vocals after hearing this little nitwit sing and then gets offended and his voice cracks while Cesar just plays it cool.
Darned if the first two pieces don't sound like polkas . . . great stuff and great band! And what a thrill that must have been for those kids. Putting my socks back on after this young singer AT 46:50 blew them off.
Whoever put this on TH-cam did no favors to the band or anyone who watches this. It's an embarrassment. I'm among their biggest fans, since 1983. This was a drag to watch.
They need to get back to what they were doing 20 years ago. I agree their new stuff isn't great. Neither the mariachi or the jazzy rock they are playing recently. I watched a bunch of recent youtube videos on them and didn't care for any of them.

What exactly happened here? I love Los Lobos, but this was probably the worst performance I have ever seen by them . Where is Cougar Estrada? why the hell was Louie playing drums? And David, my favorite musician of all time, was drunk or something? Cesar was good as always, and so were Conrad and Steve.
Zampanos ...nononnoono.they feed off the crowd senor...if the crowd isnt into it,,theyre gonna play faster...louie's a great drummer...dave might sing better if the crowd isnt talking over him......
I agree, not one of they're better performances. Sound techs were horrible which in turn screwed up the band's flow. David did sound loaded, Louie was not digging it. Some gigs are tougher than others, still paying them dues.
I saw a very intoxicated David Hidalgo on a webcast a couple of years ago. I was embarrassed, and sickened. He was not himself at all. This seems to be a taboo subject. But when no one speaks up, that's when a person goes off the deep end.... David can hardly sing C'mon Let's Go. What a drag.

Absolutely one of the worst Los Lobos shows I’ve witnessed. OMG . I just stumbled across this and can say I really wish I had not . My favoriteTex Mex band. It looked like a room full of Drunk Chicano’s !!!
