Its really sad, not enough space for these majestic animals. Pacing is a sign of boredom and stress and institutionalised behaviour.
I couldn’t really finish this episode solely because you could see boredom and agony. They are not meant to be in cages or a compound. And Jacob kinda made it worse for me just walking around calling them and saying hey buddy can I pet you.

ThePeacefulPixels Yeah I really wish the Netflix series didn’t gloss over all the animal abuse as much as it did. I’m honestly amazed these “zoos” are still legal in America given just how badly these animals are getting treated. In most other countries places like the GW Zoo would have to have veterinarians on staff and be registered as nonprofit charities.
Frizzurd Exactly. The reason they chose to spend a whole episode about the circumstantial evidence around Carole’s first husband but barely 20 minutes on Joe Exotic and Doc Antle’s animal abuse/grooming is that the animal abuse doesn’t make good TV.

The staff is trying their best with what they have but they definitely need a better space for the animals a lot of them looked sad and most where just pacing cause they are bored. I hope the new space has lots more room for the tigers to roam around and more space for the other animals to roam around and actually play.
When I was a young boy,I was fascinated by observing wild animals in a zoo....but now I dont think that way...they are like in prison...they need to be free in the wild...i dont go to zoos anymore and by the way I actually worked in a zoo assigned to a polar bear lair...these animals are not happy encaged...

Joe has been gone for 2 years how is this a testament to what he did to the animals. The animals would be dead if they would have been in this shape when Joe left. There’s a comment further down from someone about how it’s under investigation from the USDA for animals being emaciated and the ones that are in cages being sick have flea bitten ears are bloody. It’s crazy how this guy’s comments about good thing Joe isn’t here or you would get a bullet... Seriously... I don’t remember from Netflix or USDA reports the animals ever looking like this.

Ugh poor animals. They all need more room. I really hope Carol does what is best for those animals. Even though she was my least favorite person in the documentary. I hope she does what’s best for them.

Hi Jacob 🖐🏼. It kinda broke my heart to see the animals pacing back and forth. Maybe it's just me, but to me they're showing some signs of mental health. Please don't judge me for my opinion.but they really need to be in their own environment. They don't have much room to move about. But thanks for sharing.👍😃 HAVE A Awesome day ‼️. I've seen petting zoo's that are far more generous with an animal's living space. These roadside zoo's need to be eliminated. If people really want to work with exotic animals, they should get a job at a real zoo.
Don't say all road side zoo's are bad. That is a misconception. This one yes. Not all road side zoo's are like this. Matter of fact a good and reputable road side zoo is regulated and inspected by the state! And the keepers are college graduates in zoology. And several road side zoo's are involved with species survival programs. This place on the other hand is a disgrace.
I've seen actual zoos that are way worse than this.
Getting job at zoo is very difficult normally need to know someone there.
The animal in the reptile house looks like a hyena.
If anything it’s a silver fox. Hyenas are the size of Great Danes, and don’t look like that.
That weird looking duck is a Muscovy duck. The dog-like animal looks like a Jackal.
The water in the first animal's cage was dirty. Water should not be dyed green and the animals had no grass to play on. IK you as a visitor did not do these things. You seem to care about animals and people. Howie seems like a good person. I just don't have a high opinion of Joe or Jeff. It's pretty much the same condition at the Catoctin Zoo which is our closest zoo here in Chambersburg, PA. I feel for the animals.
I think blaikes exotic Ranch should take some of the animals like the birds and tortoise etc.
I think u should go to don garlets swamp rat car museum in flordia went as a kid and it really was bad ass he probably has that electric flopper in there now too.love the vibe u got guy!
We have many black bears where I live and to see that poor skinny bear in a cage broke my heart. I hope your video did some good... let's all agree these places are a thing of the past.

Went there a couple of years ago. I don't know if it still is or not, but it stank really bad in there. But it was interesting to see all the animals. And FYI Jacob, the town Wynnewood is pronounced Winnie-wood.
It’s sad to watch this because those animals should have more space to walk and run. I hope they get released or go somewhere where they are more happy. Same with carols place, hope they all get shut down...

It is something that I just got done watching that documentary today after a family member recommended me to watch it, Like yourself it was one of those that I could not stop watching once I started it is a very addicting documentary. Anyways Thanks so much for this great video and update on this.

There is no effort to give the animals even a semblance of a natural environment. Very sad.
The reality is that there really isn't a whole lot of choices for these animals to go. The series goes into a little detail. Many of the animals are rescues from the black market trade of the Cubs. So these places take them, and it is expensive to feed and house these animals. So what to do?
I think its an ok zoo and that they are working hard to keep them healthy and they want to keep them safe. I believe the new owner of the animals will do what is right and have better enclosures for them at the new location hopefully that is. I how you get a chance to go to the new location after they move there.

First of all..I know I'm late but damn. Those poor horses and lamas water was green and hardly had any. The baby tigers hardly had any. If that's what you call taking care of..I m glad that place doesn't exist anymore. To be honest.
Those poor animals... They're all pacing, which means they are not getting enough engagement, they don't have enough space to feel comfortable. I'm sure the people running it are just trying to keep them fed and everything, but they can't possibly humanely care for those animals. Private zoos should be banned.

this makes me sad. I have not watched tiger king and am not going to. These poor animals are living in horrible conditions and it saddens me that you have chosen to film there. I love your channel but this video has put me in doubt. yes, you mentioned this at the end but you should make an example by not visiting places like these.

Great vlog Jacob. Thank you for providing the additional insight, and perhaps one of the very last times any of us will be able to see the actual location of the "Lion King", or rather the "Tiger King" in it's natural habitat without physically going there. Out of the 435 comments here, I'm sure there will be plenty of folks that will speak to the conditions, etc., but I think you provided a fantastic and genuine "through-the-lens" view of something that can only speak for itself, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the pandemic, cultural unrest, or phobias of any kind. Quite frankly, I found it to be somewhat refreshing given our current events, and like yourself, I found myself watching the documentary more than once for no other reason, short of disbelief, but rather to simply tune out everything else. I feel so bad for those animals they deserve better then that. They need to be in bigger enclosures where they have room to exercise and better food options instead of garbage.
