I have to admit that I do not always understand your style and would not feel comfortable in some of these color combinations or very roomy clothes, but I admire you for being bravery and individualism. Also appreciate your sustainable approach to fashion.
I think trends have their place, particularly among the younger crowd, as they let you experiment with different combinations that maybe you wouldn't have thought of otherwise. But as I've gotten older, I have instead focused my energy on finding my own style, learning how to dress my body, and investing in high quality pieces that I will wear for decades to come. I have come to really value the way great garments age, become more beautiful, and drape better with time as they conform to your body. To me, there's nothing more stylish than the easy, "lived in" cool of someone who is truly inhabiting their clothes in an unaffected way.

OMG, Ana, I could not agree with the breaking of these 3 rules more. I'm the exact same way. I love comfy, baggy, oversized clothing all the way. I wear my handmade items every chance I get, and proudly. And I wear only "summer" fabrics all year long because my skin can't handle any animal fibers, not even cashmere. Oh! I love your style videos. I am wearing one of my thrifted linen dresses today in a marsala color. It is kind of like a medieval shape a line with great pockets. I love your ideas for separates and am really looking forward to layering again too. Unfortunately, although the acorns are dropping in the Sierra, we are still at 100 degrees. Color combinations I prefer for fall and winter are greys, rust, and greens. And most of my shoes for fall are black. I am a boot lover (I guess because I hike a lot), but love a short furry boot. And like you, I really don't care what people think about boots like that with a dress. I am really liking, 22:11 lately the pieces I have sewn with Dottie Angel patterns put out by Simplicity. I guess they are like Apron smocks? Someone said one looked like an old lady house dress, but I love it. A smock, like a sweater can change the whole look too. I bought two fabrics for fall both inspired by the dry straw grass color that is everywhere up here in the fall.

Anna, you look more and more beautiful, and you are one of the rare women who look great with short haïr, I love linen too but my style is more adapted to my job, which is quite physical, but on the days I dont work, I love to wear dresses, skirts and some nice tops, I dont like jeans though, I tried so hard to get used to it, but now its gone long ago from my wardrobe.
I also love linen year round. ❤️ I love your style and rich colors. I gravitate towards mostly greens, and colors I think look good with greens. I try to have a variety, but probably have more green, blue and orange than anything else. I just took my sweaters out for fall and winter, which made me very happy.

I love your style and layering - it’s so visually interesting and I enjoy when you show how you style things - like a fashion art show. I especially like the purple sweater because its sheerness layered over other things gives an additional layer of interesting textures. And the monochromatic red outfit was unexpectedly cool - I’m going to try that color combination when I’m painting later.
Very much agree.....linen is a staple year round, although I do have some heavier weight linens I only wear in cold weather. I think your v neck cropped tee layered over the red linen blouse my favorite outfit. You made so many adorable combinations, very inspiring. My takeaway is that I need to make a mohair airy oversized knit like your purple sweater, it is so versatile as you so beautifully illustrated. I like browns in the fall: caramel, rust, camel, chestnut plus burgandies. And I do have a staple corduory forest green skirt that I wear all fall and winter. Still waiting for it to be cool though....its going to be 100F/38 C today. so wearing linen thrifted shorts, sundresses, cotton tee shirts.
I highly recommend knitting this type of sweater! Also, it's a relatively fast and satisfying project as it's worked on bigger needles 😊 Wow, it's still so summery warm there!
So cosy! That blue skirt looks so nice. Your mix of colours works well. My converse breakes in the same spot as yours. Sometimes the sole come off from the fabric, then I glue them. Also the rubber edge cracks sometimes. I see that as a sign that the rubber is old and needs replacing. I still wear them until they fall off my feet 😂 Homemade is the best. Then you know exactly what you get and you can extend or shorten the pattern to fit you. People should be proud of what they make. If you aim for a hat and you end up with a hat you have succeeded. Love your style, it makes me happy ❤

Great video! I like the process of trends poping up in the streets.For me it feels like a piece of music emphasising certain supraindividual feelings. The trend manifested by individuals, playing with certain statments of fashion professionals. This summer peolple in Berlin did stick to black in spite of other fashion suggestions. And black turned out to be the right answer to many things...

Great video, and I agree with ignoring the style rules. Handmade is always better, and linen is always appropriate. I believe it must have been a man who said linen is a summer fabric. If he experienced the hot flashes we women do, he would change his mind.😂

They are the colors that are determined to be the color of the coming season. I forgot who determines them but it is hard to find different colors in the shops. I'm wondering about how your linen looks comparably crease-free if I think of my linen garments. Do you iron a lot? I love linen but especially my blouses usually hang in the closet, unironed and unworn because within a matter of minutes, they look as if they just came out of the hamper. Your crocheted baret inspired me to make one for myself. I love it!
Hi Christiane! I've heard about Pantone colors, but never went deeper into that 😊 Also, I almost never iron anything, I hate the process😅 I air dry my linen items on the hangers after I wash them so that they are ready to be put on. Yes, linen creases easily, but I'm fine with it.

Hello, dear Violaine! 🌸 I had the same problem when I used a specific type of natural deodorant with coconut oil and baking soda and after almost ruining many of my favorite clothes (and being very upset about it), I decided to switch to a regular deodorant, alternating it with a more natural aluminum-free option when I stay in all day😊
I have always loved bright colours and patterns, but I feel at my best when I wear red. The rule I don't follow anymore is shoes and bag have to match.

It used to be thad home-made things were valued,but I was surprised that in Eastern Europe, homemade items,like sweaters, are considered inferior to factory merchandise. In the west,like USA where I live,anything embroidered or made by human skill is more expensive and admired.I hope it goes back to this attitude in Eastern Europe.

I admire you! Although your taste is not mine, I also have always had my own style. I have never followed trends. My clothes are classics, and never go out of style. My style reflects who I am, and that is what is important.
I love your style and layering - it’s so visually interesting and I enjoy when you show how you style things - like a fashion art show. I especially like the purple sweater because its sheerness layered over other things gives an additional layer of interesting textures. And the monochromatic red outfit was unexpectedly cool - I’m going to try that color combination when I’m painting later.

Very much agree.....linen is a staple year round, although I do have some heavier weight linens I only wear in cold weather. I think your v neck cropped tee layered over the red linen blouse my favorite outfit. You made so many adorable combinations, very inspiring. My takeaway is that I need to make a mohair airy oversized knit like your purple sweater, it is so versatile as you so beautifully illustrated. I like browns in the fall: caramel, rust, camel, chestnut plus burgandies. And I do have a staple corduory forest green skirt that I wear all fall and winter. Still waiting for it to be cool though....its going to be 100F/38 C today. so wearing linen thrifted shorts, sundresses, cotton tee shirts.
I highly recommend knitting this type of sweater! Also, it's a relatively fast and satisfying project as it's worked on bigger needles 😊 Wow, it's still so summery warm there!

My converse breakes in the same spot as yours. Sometimes the sole come off from the fabric, then I glue them. Also the rubber edge cracks sometimes. I see that as a sign that the rubber is old and needs replacing. I still wear them until they fall off my feet 😂
Homemade is the best. Then you know exactly what you get and you can extend or shorten the pattern to fit you. People should be proud of what they make. If you aim for a hat and you end up with a hat you have succeeded.

I like the process of trends poping up in the streets.For me it feels like a piece of music emphasising certain supraindividual feelings. The trend manifested by individuals, playing with certain statments of fashion professionals. This summer peolple in Berlin did stick to black in spite of other fashion suggestions. And black turned out to be the right answer to many things...

What I believe is great on me may not be what other women with a different body type find attractive for them. Great video, and I agree with ignoring the style rules. Handmade is always better, and linen is always appropriate. I believe it must have been a man who said linen is a summer fabric. If he experienced the hot flashes we women do, he would change his mind.😂

Your outfits look great on you, Ana! I think you created your very own style, which is so much more interesting than fashion trends. Did you hear of Pantone colors? They are the colors that are determined to be the color of the coming season. I forgot who determines them but it is hard to find different colors in the shops. I'm wondering about how your linen looks comparably crease-free if I think of my linen garments. Do you iron a lot? I love linen but especially my blouses usually hang in the closet, unironed and unworn because within a matter of minutes, they look as if they just came out of the hamper.

Hi Christiane! I've heard about Pantone colors, but never went deeper into that 😊 Also, I almost never iron anything, I hate the process😅 I air dry my linen items on the hangers after I wash them so that they are ready to be put on. Yes, linen creases easily, but I'm fine with it.

Unfortunately, I love linen, it's one of my favorite fabric but I can't wear itbecause my deodorant ruins it. I bought several blouses and they were bleached under the armpits… I should change my deodorant, shouldn't I ?! I tried but I can't (it's been more than 15 years I've been using it, it's just a mix of Coconut oil and baking soda) and I'm not comfortable with something else ! Hello, dear Violaine! 🌸 I had the same problem when I used a specific type of natural deodorant with coconut oil and baking soda and after almost ruining many of my favorite clothes (and being very upset about it), I decided to switch to a regular deodorant, alternating it with a more natural aluminum-free option when I stay in all day😊

It used to be thad home-made things were valued,but I was surprised that in Eastern Europe, homemade items,like sweaters, are considered inferior to factory merchandise. In the west,like USA where I live,anything embroidered or made by human skill is more expensive and admired.I hope it goes back to this attitude in Eastern Europe.
