It is also important to mention that, when shocking (not sure if untrained people can use your public access defibs or not), it is vital that you are not in any form of contact with the patient - either directly or via an conductive object making contact with the patient.

also if you are touching the person it can pick up your heart rythem and advise no shock! also remove all jewelry also if lady remove bra as they contain metal, if possible cover with t shirt or similer. and please have some manners no phones.
