Scary that she asked if she could get her bag before walking back to police car. Glad the officer is ok. Ty awesome bystander!!
Looking back, after learning the suspect's full situation, I can imagine she may have intended to shoot the officer once they were in the car (where it would be very difficult for the officer to respond in time) and take the police car in a mad dash to the border. Even though that would almost certainly not work, a murderer who is desperate might try something like that. Especially given that she specifically said she wants to get her bag when the officer first suggested giving her a ride.

That response time was completely unacceptible, and the inability of the female officer to cuff a tiny asian woman was also pretty ridiculous. That entire encounter could have gone very badly for that officer if the suspect was any bigger.
Yea that woman was not big at all. If you can’t handle her, then you need to be on permanent desk duty
Cops are trained to not engage in hand to hand combat with suspects because it opens the door for injury lawsuits and insurance funds risk for the department.
For every 1 female police encounter there always has to be another male or more to have it go smoothly or at all. It seems like we’re wasting money on someone. At any other job if you had to always accompany a worker and do their job for them they would be fired.

What are the ODDS of that cop finding her stranded there and then hearing about her being wanted?
The other cop found out she was wanted and radioed it into Hernandez after Hernandez had called in the incident. So no coincidence just police work.
What are the odds that after her attempts to get into the car, all those officers on scene... they waited till the next morning (daytime photos of evidence) after it was towed to a safe location to search the car?
They then found a black bag on the seat with a loaded revolver inside.
At a later date they found $99k... but the pictures show it in the same black bag with a white phone cord as the revolver. At best it was in the bag directly under the backpack on the floor in the photos.
