The development come a time instability in India when Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the Government in Uncertainty and the Situation was there very critical. Mpox the lethal outbreak in Africa has became severe and continental disease which had caused 517 deaths and 2873 affected cases . WHO had marked this as PHEIC transmission of disease . Since 2017 , the first spread of disease was not that lethal but was milder than that has been occurring in 2024 in Africa . In Africa there are 10 million requirement of vaccines but they have 0.21 million of vaccines. And only DRC and Nigeria had allowed the supply of vaccines in overall Africa . The writer suggests that , WHO should resolve the issues of shortage of vaccines .

WHO declared MPOX as a Public Health Emergency Of International Concern (PHEIC) following its outbreak in the Democratic Republic Of Congo and its spread across Africa. This is the second PHEIC for mpox in two years. The african continent is not on well track. Over 2800 cases and 517 deaths were caused by mpox, mainly in DRC. THis is very important to provide support and Vaccine, but due to regularity challenges there is only a fraction of the needed doses are available. Only 0.21 million doses may be supplied but to control the outbreak 10 million doses needed.
WHO should look after this matter immediately and take right step to tackle this. International agencies also try to supply doses in African Countries and help to resolve this challenge.

After the ousted of SretthaThavisin , Paetongtarn Shinwatra became the first youngest PM of Thailand. Srettha was disqualified from the position because of her ethical violations. Paetongtarn facin many challenges because of her lack of experience but she having her father guidence for the same as she is the 4th member from her family holding the position. Challenges like instability including Bangladesh and Myanmar, which could affect upcoming events like the BIMSTEC summit in Bangkok.

Mpox(Monkeypox), genetics of this virus is Africa, has been becoming a grave concern not only for Africa but also for a world. WHO (World Health Organization) has declared mpox to be PHEIC for the second time in two years. Recently year, this disease outbreak not only in Africa but also in a dozen country, including U.S and Europe. The new variant of this disease, 1b is more jeopardy for human being, rampant effectively through sexual or non-sexual contact. It is more infected under 15 year children. WHO and other industry (vaccine produce industry) should try to invent vaccine as soon as possible before rampant this disease and become pandemic disease.

Mpox is declared as the PHEIC by WHO for the 2nd time in two years in DRC and the condition of African countries is not in the well track. It is very much important to provide support and correct amount of vaccines there but due to regulatory issues only 0.21 million of vaccines can be supplied in the emergency where the required amount is 10 million which is pathetic.
WHO should immediately look after this matter and vaccine companies should try to get permission to supply more vaccines in Africa countries ( not just for Nigeria and DRC).

Paetongtarn Shinawatra, 37 years old, was elected as the youngest Prime Minister of Thailand after the removal of Shretta Thavisian from power by the Constitutional court. She is the youngest daughter of Thailand's former PM and fourth member of her family to hold the position. The dismissal of Shretta due to ethical violation is showing a sudden change in the pattern of Thailand's conservative establishment. Ms Paetongtarn is facing a challenging term. Her primary aim is to revive the economy of Thailand. Being young and inexperienced, she may need the guidance from her father. This instability may also create challenges in the neighbouring countries ,which may affect the upcoming BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok.

HOMEWORK - “On India and the Instability in the region”
As we all know that the country itself is very fragile concept that can easily got effected by its neibhbourhood. As in the South Asia now a days, many events has been causing issues like newly elected Thailand PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra, who has many challenges to face amidst the growing outrages among other social groups and the Myanmar political issues also adding instability in the region. As we all know the current situation of Bangladesh and also elections are coming in Sri Lanka. So there are many things that are causing headache for India like BIMSTEC summit in Bangkok and also Indian investments in the region. India have to take a safe approach regarding its investments and also the political affairs in the region so that it can ensure upcoming collaborations between its neighbours that can help in socio economical growth. We want India to act in a very carefully manner that also help in safeguarding its own interest because the upcoming year can will be crucial not only for other countries but also for India itself that cause unimaginable damage.
