I strongly dislike the AR but I bought one of these at Rural King two years ago for $250 after taxes. It seemed to chew itself up inside at first but runs great now. I’ve had the Ak version for years.
Given the strong family resemblance, I wonder if they've tried to import a .410 upper on a plain old 15 lower and what excuse was/would be given to stop it.
Saw these on sale before Xmas, and it took all the willpower that I possessed not to grab one for the price they were advertised at, even though I think I may have brought my shotgun out one time last year to shoot a couple rounds of skeet, then put it back in the safe. Would be a nice shotgun to have sitting next to my recliner, to compliment the Glock 17 I have in the armrest! Always wondered about how well they would function at that price.
Do you know if the mag release is exactly the same as a regular AR-15? Asking cause unfortunately I live in NY and if I were to purchase this I would have to switch out the mag release for a locking mag release that makes the mag “permanent”
I built a 10" SBS off one of these with a collapsible stock. I trimmed a standard buffer and spring down to make it work but I can't get it to run with anything but buckshot.
I have some insight on how they do it cheap. For industrial products, oil & gas, equipment they Government pays the manufacturing company in China via tax incentives or cash per order shipped. Essentially to flood the market to deter foreign manufacturing so they have a monopoly. Then slowly they increase the price
I just wanted to give an update on my previous post. I actually purchased one of these and got it today, I tore it all the way down and put it back together. From that inspection I found none of the previous issues with sharp edges that cut up the hulls of the shot shells to be present, so they have fixed those issues. I then went and shot it... It absolutely jams on nearly every shot IF you use bird loads, on the other hand 00 buck shot ran without any problems, so the buffer spring is way overpowered, and this is not you gun if you are looking for a birding shotgun. I am looking to see if I can find a lighter spring that will work for bird loads to train and plink with. The only true problem I had with the gun is that the U shaped reinforcement lips that are on the two provided magazines are over sized, and caused one of them to jam in the gun... The first one I just had to remove the phosphate finish to get it to work properly, the second one I had to file quite a bit to get it to work. Neither of them will drop from the gun but have to be pulled out, but it is now easy to pull them out. So, if you are hoping to get a semi-auto Benelli level shotgun for $220, you will be sadly disappointed, but if you accept that you are getting a Chinese made piece of equipment that will take maybe 20 minutes worth of work to get it to run quite well, then this is the gun for you. Thank you Mr. Serbu for your advice on this gun, well worth the purchase for me. As a side note, yes I am a trained gun smith, so even if it would have had bigger issues I could have gotten the gun to run eventually.
I believe that spring in the buffer is a dampener for if/when it bottoms out in the buffer tube. Maybe it’s there to limit damage if someone shoots a hot load when the gas port is all the way open. I’d be concerned if it was bottoming consistently though. If it’s slamming into the back of the buffer tube, it could tear the threads out or break the end of the tube.
Did you have to clean a bunch of cosmolene out of the gas port before running it? I know the AK version needs it before firing or it gums up the gas port real bad. Making the gun a pain to cycle.
Wonder if we could get one of those in California if the seller would configure it as featureless first. Throw a stupid fin grip on it, and a fixed stock. Charge an extra $50 for the convenience. Boom
I’m surprised they didn’t just copy the system that benelli use, I’m also always shocked at how cheap China can do things in metal yes there labour is cheaper however sending heavy things half way around the world for so much cheaper in my head the maths make no sense there government must be subsidising a lot of there stuff
Thanks or this video. I'm considering buying one of these but I can't find any spare parts anywhere. Do you know where spare parts can be found. I'm not even finding them at the JTS website.
I modified mine to take a nornal ar 16 buffer tube and i cut fown the barrel to like 12.5 inches and sbsed it. Runes slugs and buck fine but bird shot almost functions
i got the ak t12 and its a piece of garbage, the 10 round magazines fall out every shot. doesnt cycle bird shot on even the lowest gas setting. I guess its fun when your shooting slugs and use the original magazine but thats no fun
I have to say I love this gun. I bought a Chinese AK rifle in 1999 and still have it and it's never had a malfunction. They are capable of making good reliable firearms in China. This company also has several AK versions of this shotgun. I wish more American companies did things like this. I saw a lot of innovative things on this. I would trust it for home defense after running a few boxes through it. The website does say that it shoots both 2-3/4 in and 3 in shotgun shells. They also have a 10 round magazine for this.
Norinco is the only reputable Chinese brand left. I can't speak on this particular model but I have had several jts ak-t1's and they have all disassembled their gas system permanently before I got 100 rounds through any of them.
Go to the nearest fast food joint, pull the bag out of the refuse can, dump it out, spray it with your garden hose, collect it on a baking tray, and heat it to 175 degrees in a pre heated oven. This thing is hot wet garbage.

I wonder how many of the parts can be exchanged for American AR-10 and AR-15 components?
Imagine this with a double stacked mag 🎉
Red dots for clays is atrocious. Don't do it. You'll have to squeeze off at the apex or you will lose your lead/swing. It's not a good time.
I’m surprised they didn’t just copy the system that benelli use, I’m also always shocked at how cheap China can do things in metal yes there labour is cheaper however sending heavy things half way around the world for so much cheaper in my head the maths make no sense there government must be subsidising a lot of there stuff
I neeeed to see this rockin and rollin!
Is the buffer tube a normal ar10/ar15 length ?
I thought Chinese guns were banned from import into the U.S.? How are these so freaking cheap!
@@calebconnors847 Polytech has always been good but I don't know what they are producing now.
I'll let you know if that's true for mine, just ordered one. I've definitely wasted 200$ on dumber sheit@@calebconnors847
Go to the nearest fast food joint, pull the bag out of the refuse can, dump it out, spray it with your garden hose, collect it on a baking tray, and heat it to 175 degrees in a pre heated oven. This thing is hot wet garbage.
I will never buy an ar shotgun because it will jam after every shot, I think benelli M4 is the best choice.
I just got one, before I even saw this. Once again TH-cam isn't notifying me of new videos
I had an older one that I liked but traded it for a saiga clone that was a lot nicer and it used all saiga and AK parts... Just can't remember the importers name...
Got mine for $229 at PSA, so far it has run fine with high brass rounds.
That is pretty sweet I'd buy one if the price was right. I'm wondering what the weight is on it i was all into the bullpups until i got one way too heavy and too complicated to break down at least the one i had.
PSA has them for $199.
I'm not a shotgun guy, but I'd own one of these if I didn't live in WA!! Looks awesome.
I’m not an AR guy but but this anyway for the same reason.
Mine is fun as all get out with a 10 round mag....never had any issues that wasn’t my fault.
I can’t believe you paid for this in dog barks.
Ill buy one now that you have gone thru one somewhat, and are impressed, china does make some cool sh>t
Im relatively sure those uppers work on AR10 lowers.
I have the AK version and have never had a problem. I think it's a awesome weapon.
I wasn’t even aware we could have Chinese firearms. Goes to show what I know.
Mark if you make an improved version. People will buy it.
Was going to get one from palmetto but it's chines I think I'll buy something else
