I thought I'd push the limits and see how close I could get to this giant Yukon Moose in the heat of the rut. A throwback to one of my favorite Yukon memories!
It instantly made me made me hate him. Not only did this dude lure him in with false promises of sex but then he just wouldn't leave him alone... how much of a bored Jackass can you be. I really wanted the moose to fuck him up then look at the camera and say, "human hunting is the greatest". This guy did a great job at making me go against my own species.
i live in moose country and that was very dumb. if it was a choice between messing with a grizzly bear with cubs or a bull moose in rut it would be a toss-up which is more dangerous. and there's probably more of a chance surviving the bear, once she no longer feels you're a threat there's a chance she will stop, the moose won't.

Kept looking at the cameraman, and each time were milliseconds of opportunity for the moose to show him whats up! haha, not to mention when the moose finally grunted at him, he turns his back, saying "exit stage left - I'm a chicken!" he's lucky the moose decided the go the other direction. He was legit standing there talking to the camera for a bit too long, imo..
We're trained by television and films (and even eventful TH-cam videos). Timing-wise, you're right -- those were _exactly_ the moments when the protagonist the evil-doer would have pounced.
Probably by imitating the call of a female moose in heat & a large caliber rifle chambered in .30/06 or similar...😉 But joking aside they are absolutely magnificent animals, modern giants left over from the mega fauna. Don't know how this company operates but personally I don't support trophy hunting at all. Imo one should only hunt if you are going to use the meat or give the meat to those in need & not let any go to waste. Also only hunting where a species is fully abundant & harvesting only mature males. Never otherwise unless it's necessary to get food on the table or their population is out of control or seriously impacting other species/plants.
