Ring-necked ducks at Piney Orchard Nature Preserve, March 29, 2024

A number of ring-necked ducks observed at Piney Orchard Nature Preserve, March 29, 2024. I saw 16-20 of them, mostly males (the black and white ones). At the very end one of the females (brownish colors) dives underwater. These ducks fall in the larger category of "diving ducks". They will often stay underwater for about 10-20 seconds.
