    In a framed structure which span should we consider... clear span or c/c of support??
    As all beam are fixed with columns can we take clear span??

    According to IS456 - Lenght of top bar on beams is 30% of span from column edge whereas in this video you have stated L/4 from centre of column

    2. A continuous beam with simple supports has two span each of 8 m. from center to center of supports. The characteristic dead load is 25 kN/m and characteristic live load is 30 kN/m. Design the critical section of the beam and sketch the details of reinforcement using the limit state method. Characteristic strength of concrete a 20 N/mm² = characteristic strength of steel 415 mm. Sketch the details in the continuous beam.

    Question - Design RC rectangular three span continues beam with each span = 5m, carrying a slab 120mm thick over it ( slab not cast monolithically ). The live load over the slab may be taken as 1500N/m2 and finishes as 1000N/m2 . The width of slab which transfers the load to beam may be taken as 4.5m, use M25 concrete and Fe415 steel
