- Uh where have I been? So glad I finally checked out some stuff from The Boyz because I've always heard so much about them and I can see why. For sure going to be diving deeper into their stuff!

I find it hilarious that you were like "Hyunjae... he's my style" at the start and then proceeded to point him out every single time simply based on his gorgeously soft vocals. I think you have an initial bias. Eventually, you'll probably have several biases as you check out more songs and content. Their music is so great but I also adore them for their personalities and friendship shown in their variety shows and such. They are hilarious and have a really strong family dynamic. I know you'll love them.
Also for Juhaknyeon, just call him Haknyeon (it's hard to pronounce since in Korean there is a pronunciation change that makes it more like "ha-ng-nyeon" - not strong HANG sound but soft "ng") OR you can call him Hak or Hakkie like a lot of English fans do. Ju is his family name that they combined for a stage name, but nobody uses his stage name. We all just call him by his birth name. Same with New and Q. We all call them Chanhee and Changmin. The exception is Hyunjae, whose real name is Jaehyun but nobody really calls him that.
Ok so please bear with me coz this may be a lot. I'm just excited to see people geniunely curios about TBZ.
Sooo they are known as an all-center / all-visual group. Also as a Dance group. I mean do we even need to explain hahaha jk. But yeah people praise for their visuals and performance.
"Officially" speaking there are:

Members also switch up and explore their musicality. Examples:
-Sangyeon rapping for She's The Boss and parts of Eric in performances while he was on hiatus
-Jacob rapping for Maverick, She's The Boss, Whisper, Roar and many b-sides
-Juyeon rapping for She's The Boss
-Q released four ballad covers to represent the seasons of the year last 2022 and be more confident w/ his vocals
-Haknyeon being the vocalist for many songs and importantly the unit song called "Scar". He can also sing trot.
-Sunwoo and Eric releasing soundclouds of them singing
So yeah TBZ is not afraid to mix up every once in a while and it leaves deobiland for dead. One thing is for sure, they are limitless.
I could say they are a very theatrical group. I recommend watching their Road to Kingdom and Kingdom performances to see what I mean. But based from the title track of MVs you can tell how they have great acting skills that just sucks you up to their aesthetic or vibes for that particular song.

Fyi, tbz are also known for their cute and refresing concept. U can see through some of their mvs and comebacks. I think that's why lots of people like them amidst the noise music in kpop, bcs its just so refreshing and almost rare to see 4th gen group doing cute concept very well. And they're not wrong, their songs including the bsides are really really good. Definitely cant wait for u to check out more tbz's stuff:)

Loved every bit of this reaction to my ult THE BOYZ! Highly recommend watching their dance practices. I’m obsessed with the fixed dance practice for ROAR! Please react to all their MVs when you can. Especially recommend No Air (my fave song), Breaking Dawn, Tattoo, and She’s The Boss (these 3 have cool rap), Sweet, Thrill Ride, and Whisper (fun summer style songs). My bias is Juyeon and Eric, wreckers are Hyunjae, Sangyeon, and Younghoon!

Always love seeing someone discover The Boyz!!! They don't get nearly as much love as they deserve. An interesting thing about the songs that you reacted to in this video is that it's only one side of their title tracks. These ones I would say are a lot more on the mature side and overall are more intense/darker. But then you have their other title tracks like Thrill Ride, Whisper, and Bloom Bloom (to name a few) that are much lighter and upbeat, more boyish songs. But everything that they produce is always amazing!!!

I've looked into The Boyz a little a few times before, but it wasn't until I watched Hyunjun in Color Rush that I watched their mvs. And then was sad because he had to leave because of his ankle problem. So I think I'm going to enjoy watching you discover them!

just found out about your channel and i'm very stoked that you're getting into them! hoping for more :), anyways just wanna tell you these things :
- maverick is inspired by the movie battle royale, it's a survival themed mv where they would need to kill each other in order to survive hence they were wearing something on their necks, which is some kind of bomb that would blow up if you would not follow instructions or something like that
-roar is actually a continuation from their last album with the title track "whisper" . it's about angels who got curious about love but since it was against the rules they can't really do anything about it. so from whisper to roar where they decided to turn their backs on the place they know as paradise and fight for what they want which is to experience love hence the fallen angel concept as they were punished by the Gods and was brought back down to land

The way you named the members just right at the first try made me feel proud, and I don't know why lmao. Yes, it was Changmin (Q) and he's the main dancer with Juyeon, the one in the beginning of Roar. His dancing skills are out of this world, really (he's my bias too so hehe) And the one you kept saying you love his voice is Chanhee, who goes by New, and is the one with red hair in Roar. Sangyeon and him are the main vocalists. Especially Sangyeon, he's the one you heard doing the higher notes in the final chorus of every single song. I recommend you to check Sangyeon at Leemunjin Service! There you can hear his beautiful voice^^ And yes, I definitely agree with you in everything you said about them. The Boyz is such a wholesome group, you could watch their performances at Road to Kingdom and Kingdom itself, they surely will blow your mind. Thank you for giving them a try! The person who gave you the recommendations gave you a nice clear style as an introduction. 👏 One of my favourite things about TBZ is their absolute style switches in concepts every comeback. They do darker like this beautifully, but they also absolutely kill lighter concepts. Usually when I see a first reaction with multiple videos the viewer gets a mixture of darker and lighter MVs and it can be almost jarring, which I find hilarious because that's exactly what my playlists look like. 😂 You'll get a surprise when you watch a lighter MV like Bloom Bloom or Whisper. Hopefully you love it too! They are concept chameleons, but they still maintain their very clear style. Even in their collaborations the switch ups are wild. They've done two collaborations with the Universe app, Drink It, and Sweet, both are themed around vampires, but they are so different it's insane.

New is the one whose voice reminded u of Baekhyun's voice! actually it's been talked alot about the similarity between their voices and alot agree with u!
Also the one doing the high note in maverick is the leader Sangyeon. Both him and New are the main vocalist.

Honestly I was really glad you picked them first to react because I really thought they’d be like one of your favorite group music wise, like it’s very your style

I wish I didn't dislike the chorus for Maverick cause the rest of song is great, but I would need to mute that chorus every time. I usually love the switch up in a song but this part I have listened to multiple times and can't seem to like. Everything else they do I just love and they live on my playlists all the time. The Boyz's performances are amazing. Just as an FYI, Eric, Kevin and Jacob are on season 2 of Hwaiting (with BM from KARD and Ten and YangYang from WayV) so if you want some content, I will be watching this weekly too
I can definitely see some people not feeling the chorus just cause it is such a different sound and direction than most of the song especially and very experimental which is totally fine and not everyone is going to like everything so I totally get it.
