My most favourite game in the world. And i beat the game 7 times in 2 years. I got so mad while playing the game because its so hard espacially heat level 5 with suv and c6 corvette cops and your worst nightmare Cross.
Music is subjective, but to me, this song is NOT about blind people. It is the fact the people are metaphorically blind when it comes to radical political leaders. The whole song seems to be about the government. You can't hide from them, you can't run from them, and they would rather you be in hell than them out of office. Relissen with lyrics and think about the government and the people. Its meaning is incredible.
So a couple things I've noticed in search of the "Sevenfold harmony sauce": - They almost NEVER use the neck pickup, all of it is bridge - It's very high end and biting, not a very pleasant sound on its own but cuts amazingly - The tones are generally very different from left to right, one being a Marshall and the other being a Bogner, or one being a 5150 and the other being a Diezel. P - The harmonies aren't static, sometimes one guitar will play the same pattern twice while the other plays a 3rd under it the first time and a 6th over it the second time. Very interesting video, thank you for taking such a deep dive into my favorite band.
Being Avenged Sevenfold fans then play Need For Speed Mostwanted surprised me as a kid when this song being played while racing. Very nostalgic, good times!
I feel like you should listen to some of their b-side album 'Diamond in the Rough'. Absolute bangers. Personally Dancing Dead off that album is one my all time favourites of theirs.
You missed the 'vocal behind backing vocals' when they say this: Running, don't go back and fight, too many you'll lose (And as clowns you follow suit behind the blood between the red and white and blue but it's too deep for you to see and everyone eventually will take the step 'cause it's in sight you take the left I will take the right I feel the hate you've built for me and I say pay attention baby) and this The business at hand tonight, make the people choose (I see another side in you but there's not much more I can do from on the outside looking in your government is listening to push you on the story of immortal father mortal son give them your mind and all your wealth the cycle will rebirth itself) probably that lyric video does not have it, google has it! :D
bro, i love ur quality content that you made. This is unique and no one react like from ur perspective. I love how u breakdown the music. Keep it up man!
You should react to The Rev & Syn's band before they joined Avenged Sevenfold. They're called Pinkly Smooth. I recommend their song "Mesmer" & "McFly" I think you'll like those. Looking forward to it.
This is genuinely becoming my favourite reactions on YT. It might just be because City of Evil is one of my favourite albums ever, but I always crack an involuntary smile when I see a new upload from the album. And like the last 3 CoE reactions, I'm going to ask for Betrayed again, because it's a fucking belter!
Great video! Another suggestion would be "The Fight." It is off the Diamonds in the Rough album. If you want another sad song like "Save Me" and "Fiction" though, listen to 4:00 AM by A7X.
You will see in the comment section many people suggest various song for the next. This is why i love A7X they have so many great songs and that's a fact!
i know many people suggest many different songs but i would recomend: second heartbeat remenission also since u like prog metal i guarantee you The Stage ablum is a must to do, especially songs like: sunny dispostion simulation higher god damn fermi paradox paradigm
IF that scream is demonic you should watch/react to Avenged Sevenfold - Critical acclaim LIVE IN LBC. The first scream is FREAKING AWESOME! Like the whole song! with THE REV's vocals too on chorus
you seem to be super into their city of evil era so you should definitely check out burn it down or trashed and scattered. the amount of layers and madness going on in trashed and scattered is so entertaining i think you’d lose your shit
Great reaction and channel bro, Blinded In Chains is one of my favorites together with Save Me and The Wicked End. The next reaction should be Strength Of The World or Burn It Down!
easily their best song in terms of musicality to sounding good ratio, genius song crafting with catchy riffage and vocals. The rev's best drumming was on this song imo, the vocals have all these unique dynamics with the talking and background vocals, both guitarists are keeping this song alive with impressive guitar work and melodies, and the bass playing lead in some parts, so cool. I do like Chapter Four and IWSYTN 1 & 2 a little more because of the sound they had back in Waking the Fallen, but this song takes 4th place for Avenged.
I forget if I commented this before, but homie, idk if you would want to delve into non-metal bands, but Queen's deep cut's have a LOT of what youre talking about. The guitar harmonies are completely unique to them. And Brian May's signature, on top of orchestral guitar, is duetting with the Vocals and creating counter melodies and stuff. All the stuff you love A7X for, Queen does too, which is why they are both my 2 favorite bands. I reccommend maybe The Millionaire Waltz, The March of The Black Queen, or Father to Son. Very prog, close to metal at points, but musicaly absolutely flawless in every way, mixing, playing, harmonies, everything. And with these songs, there is zero artificial sounds, no synths, no keyboard, which makes it even more insane what they were able to do. They prided themselves on zero synths until 1980 when they wanted to try it out, but thats 7 albums prior that are pure synthless/aritical soundless, its insane.
Tin man - America has a bunch of soft harmonics. Mainly with the verses, but also with the chorus too. Strumming chords hidden under the chorus as he speaks. It doesn't really extend away from the vocals, but it's there!
Great video as always! I know this is maybe a long shot, but can you check out the Avenged Sevenfold song titled Not Ready to Die? This song is not in any album, because it is a single specifically made for Easter Egg in game called Call of Duty Black Ops. You will not be disappointed.
I feel like the one take story has confused a lot of people. Sounding The Seventh Trumpet was recorded straight through one take first take. Now everyone thinks that the video of him recording Almost Easy is one take first take. It's clearly not the take they used. And tons of drummers do full takes until they get one they like instead of punching in or cutting and pasting.

You would love the song Unbound (the wild ride) from the self titled album
It’s the drums and the tempo plus the humbleness of the drummer. The rev you already know
The Rev had it all … brilliant drummer and songwriter, passion, charisma, and had the most unique voice
Who else heard this for the first time back in Need For Speed: Most Wanted
Yep, my favorite racing game ever
My most favourite game in the world. And i beat the game 7 times in 2 years. I got so mad while playing the game because its so hard espacially heat level 5 with suv and c6 corvette cops and your worst nightmare Cross.
good times huh :D
Nostalgia
When I was young, because of this game, I met this band.
Music is subjective, but to me, this song is NOT about blind people. It is the fact the people are metaphorically blind when it comes to radical political leaders. The whole song seems to be about the government. You can't hide from them, you can't run from them, and they would rather you be in hell than them out of office. I agree
If you love their harmonies, maybe you should to check Burn it down from this album, I think is one of their best harmonies
!!! Yes, it’s such an underrated song man. It’s one of my favorites.
Blinded and Burn it have been my favorites by them off this album for years
So a couple things I've noticed in search of the "Sevenfold harmony sauce":
- They almost NEVER use the neck pickup, all of it is bridge
- It's very high end and biting, not a very pleasant sound on its own but cuts amazingly
- The tones are generally very different from left to right, one being a Marshall and the other being a Bogner, or one being a 5150 and the other being a Diezel. P

Simulation from The Stage is CRAZY
yes bro
AMEN
I agree 😊
Being Avenged Sevenfold fans then play Need For Speed Mostwanted surprised me as a kid when this song being played while racing. Very nostalgic, good times!
First time it played to me(and first time that I heard the song) was on the first boss race, against Sonny. It's a perfect boss song.
I feel like you should listen to some of their b-side album 'Diamond in the Rough'. Absolute bangers. Personally Dancing Dead off that album is one my all time favourites of theirs.
Became their fan after listening to this. It was featured in need for speed most wanted OST. found them there and never looked back!
Roman Sky would be a great choice for the next song. Even the live version 👀
ESPECIALLY the live version. That Grammy museum performance was almost identical to the studio version, it's amazing
That Grammy's live recording is the only time I've heard hail to the king and actually liked it.
totally agree!
I one up this!
Such a great f*cking song... so underrated? underplayed? underappreciated? All of the above.
Trashed and scattered next please! best song from the album
Idk if I’d say it’s the best but it is fuckin awesome.
You missed the 'vocal behind backing vocals' when they say this:
Running, don't go back and fight, too many you'll lose
(And as clowns you follow suit behind the blood between the red and white and blue but it's too deep for you to see and everyone eventually will take the step 'cause it's in sight you take the left I will take the right I feel the hate you've built for me and I say pay attention baby)
and this
The business at hand tonight, make the people choose
(I see another side in you but there's not much more I can do from on the outside looking in your government is listening to push you on the story of immortal father mortal son give them your mind and all your wealth the cycle will rebirth itself)
probably that lyric video does not have it, google has it! :D
Lamb of god is very good at matching the vocals with the lead guitar
Buried Alive man 😁 Avenged’s “stairway to heaven”
My favorite A7X music since I discovered it. The transitions are so goddamn good and that outro is simply unmatched
You should listen to I Won’t See You Tonight part 1 and 2, it’s so good both parts and they work perfect together
bro, i love ur quality content that you made. This is unique and no one react like from ur perspective. I love how u breakdown the music. Keep it up man!
Dude! Your breakdowns give me a whole new appreciation for the insanity and nuances that is this masterpiece of an album!
Love these detailed track reviews from such a fun album!
When you going to race in nfs most wanted and this song is playing, you know you gonna win that race
"Simulation" from The Stage would be a cool song to look into
It's the harmonic minor scale on those guitar harmonies. Super classical sounding and just sounds so epic in a metal setting
It's only natural that you do Strength of The World next
You should react to The Rev & Syn's band before they joined Avenged Sevenfold. They're called Pinkly Smooth. I recommend their song "Mesmer" & "McFly" I think you'll like those. Looking forward to it.
love pixel and nasal, mezmer, the body of died, and mc fly,,best song
The guitar harmony at 12:25 is amazing
The closest on harmonies have been with Lovebites on Soldier Stands Solitarily. Syn is one of her top 5 guitar heroes.
midori?
@@dicodec yes Midori. I thought I had included that.
Keep the A7X reactions coming! You're one of the best on TH-cam at these and I love revisiting my favorite album of all time.
That riff at 12:11 is so nasty, it’s the best
Great video!
Another suggestion would be "The Fight." It is off the Diamonds in the Rough album. If you want another sad song like "Save Me" and "Fiction" though, listen to 4:00 AM by A7X.
Until the end and the fight are so fire, best off of the diamonds record. Also he did save me and fiction already
The Fight is my favorite song to play on guitar, it's so much fun aha and Blinded In Chains is easily my favorite for bass just for the ending
13:50 just that melody……..😮💨😮💨
The whole bridge of this song is what makes this song my favorite from City of Evil
The Rev’s drumming masterpiece imo
Remembering those days when i used to play nfs mw my car at full throttle and this music plays 😮
Omg that’s so true about the harmonies!!
I never get tired of thos song
I love the outro of this song so much🥲❤
NOT READY TO DIE Bro..

PLEASE the Stage next, the hole album is their best
easily their best song in terms of musicality to sounding good ratio, genius song crafting with catchy riffage and vocals.
The rev's best drumming was on this song imo, the vocals have all these unique dynamics with the talking and background vocals, both guitarists are keeping this song alive with impressive guitar work and melodies, and the bass playing lead in some parts, so cool.

I know this is maybe a long shot, but can you check out the Avenged Sevenfold song titled Not Ready to Die?
This song is not in any album, because it is a single specifically made for Easter Egg in game called Call of Duty Black Ops.
You will not be disappointed.
That 12:11❤
Always thought the ending guitar riff sounded like it was from Beat It
Brian Haner Jr to me is the greatest of all time..

Trashed & Scattered next.

Doing it in one take is still impressive, when I’m recording drummers we have specific points we know where we can punch in without it being noticed
NFS Most Wanted!!
Please check out their song I won't see you tonight part 1 and 2 plsssss ❤❤❤❤
