I think they maybe just didnt remember the full name :D Someone even said Hong Kong Academy.
Either that, or Tencent realised that saying HKA instead of Hong Kong Attitude for the rest of the tournament would make things even worse. Which they absolutely do. People dont care about stuff getting censored by China, as long as they aren't noticing it.

@@comebackfailed6350 let me try to explain it, im from mexico so my English is kinda bad, there is some kind of revolution on Hong kong, and all the multimillionaire brands are supporting the Chinese government, and remember that Tencent owns Riot Games, so they can't even say the name of the city of Hong Kong because it could be considered as if the company would be supporting the revolution and they don't want to get in trouble with Tencent. You should search on the internet to understand more about this.

Wong Micky It wasn’t really Riot that was behind it, but was more of a reactionary thing after the Blizzard incident. Riot made a statement explicitly stating that they were fine with the casters saying the full team name, but it wasn’t communicated properly to the casters.
That cast was just hours after the incident, and the casters were not sure what Riot's stance was, so they censored themselves. The no censorship statement came a few hours later, where Riot also clarified that they hadn't communicated their stance to the casters at the time of that cast.
They named HKA by their full name Hong Kong Attitude and even said, that they come from Hong Kong when he mentioned the regions of competing teams^^.

Why does they can't say Hong Kong? Can someone explain this to me. I don't get it.
Because riot depends on the Chinese. Billions of players and viewers. But not only riot as a conpany also the NBA and blizzard have banned players for suppporting hong kong. As you may know hong kong wants to be independent from China, there have been recent Demonstration and Stuff. As it seems riot supports China because they are afraid to lose their chinese players and viewers.

Probably because tencent (a chinese company) owns Riot games and the chinese don't want Hong Kong to have any international attention. Look up whats happening with the NBA right now because of a coach or staff member posting on twitter about the riots in Hong Kong. Its really sad if this is the reason.

Update Oct. 9 8:30pm CT: Riot released a statement in regards to the allegations that it’s preventing casters from saying “Hong Kong” at Worlds 2019. “To make this as explicit as possible, we aren’t telling anyone to avoid saying Hong Kong,” Riot communications lead Ryan Rigney said. “We’d just rather the team be referred to by its full name. There’s been some confusion internally about this as well and we’re working to correct it.”
@@maico1760 Yeah but the full name is Hong Kong Attitude. If the casters didnt stop halfway through just to "correct" themselves by apologizing and saying the abbreviation of the name I'm sure they would have said the attitude part aswell.
Edit: Just as they did before this became an issiue for them they said the whole name and not just Hong Kong.
