A bit of everything, walk round race bikes, what Neil does to turn a road bike to a race bike, YZR500 up date, any 2stroke resto's, obviously your race weekends and recovery. Liked the Insta talk through. Just keep 'em relaxed and fun.
Love to see more on the 500, more bsbweekend footage if you can? Another project bike. Got to have more JW69 content, Neil, Jesse. More content on the road bikes like the triumphs you've borrowed.
Can't recommend the JW days enough, did my first ever track day with them at Cadwell Park a couple of weeks ago. Tuition was amazing , James did our novice group and he helped me a lot. i was nervous in the first session but settled into it after the 2 sighting laps. Had my Aprilia RSV4 Factory and to experience it in a safe low number environment was epic. some laps i didn't see another rider for half a lap made it feel safe for new riders. Lee was there but doing the inters group, i was having a fan boy day in my Ashcourt hoodie lol. Meet your heroes and be on track with them is a win win
this is great to hear. Glad you enjoy them and get something out off them, that's what its all about! thank you for the support and for the comment 👍🏻😊

Any possibility of doing some videos using the insta cameras with the GPS module to see what the data looks like.
I used it and can only tell that the data from gps module is about a second late vs the video. Watching motorbike content becomes annoying when you hear bike accelerating and data lagging a second later (Insta360 x3 and GPS action remote).
I've been using GoPro for years. For me the downside for external mics are the adapters you have to use. Looking at the Insta Pro, you also need an adapter, so I'll stick with the GoPro until it dies.
yeah I used GoPro before working with insta, I have found the insta cameras so much more versatile, but it is a big swop around with chargers, adaptors ect. when you/if you make the change wack your GoPros on eBay, they always sell well!
@@Leejohnston Battery life of the Insta is better, but as you say, a bit of upheaval to change. Plus a new PC would be required to get the best out of 8k. A £350/£400 quid change becomes a £1400 quid change.
Was at that Trackday, got a few nice sessions in between the rain, the training was awesome. Love your videos, would love to see a video on bike setup and positioning of foot pegs, clipons, levers etc
Lee is it possible to do a video with RST to focus on the safety aspects of wear the gear on the Road and Adventure riding. I see so many young people wearing shorts and a T-shirt and I look at them and think that's not going to end well if they crash. I Live in Queensland Australia.
its the same over here, would do some damage if they came off! thank you for the feedback on content and for the support. I will include that into a video 😊 I find it all quite interesting how the gear is designed
Your enthusiasm for what you do is infectious. Track days with Whitham always seem fun. Myself I love all the behind scenes and the bike tech. But a bit of on road footage never goes amiss. Usually just a good watch anyway. The presenter is a big part of TH-cam. Some interesting stuff out there, but some you can't watch for more than two minutes.
Grate blog again love all the tech stuff . How Yamaha 500 doing you & James was building early this year ? Lee do you have any footage on the Rs250 & RC45 round the TT . Lee you are doing well in the BSB too 👍 looking forward too the next blog
Always happy to see what changes you'd make based on certain feedback. Great vid! As far as the camera mounting positions go, the built-in seems the far safer option than having an extra impact point on your helmet itself. Or doesn't that worry you all too much? What are the most common camera positions that are allowed in trackdays/racing in the UK? Over here they don't allow most camera's mounted on the bodywork (lockwired or not), fuel tank is also a big no no, aswell as the helmet. Cheers for the cracking vid as usual, these insights are always a blast to see. Best of luck for the remainder of the season!
Nice video dude - from recent times the in helmet with with Go 3 has been the most entertaining for me. For future video's - can't beat a you and Jim Whitham (and others) just messing about doing stuff and having a laff / telling stories and the like. And obviously you doing some racing. 😎
Hi Lee, could you do a video about the dark art of cornering. I’m a novice rider and constantly putting myself in danger by over cooking corners to the point it scares me off motorbikes. I’ve had 1 bad crash so far and just recently got back on the bike but obviously more nervous about it now.
Honestly go to a whitam day and get some track tuition it will help you loads. Best thing I ever did was go to a track, I went to castle Combe with a friend who's a TT racer and it was so helpful
Where is the Kevlar in the new suit? Benefits of Kevlar/leather combination? Just curious, my road gear is all Kevlar, have a mesh for hot days and non-mesh.
Thanks ....from a coaching point of view ....which camera positions do you think are best if I wanted to send the footage off for someone to give me feedback on my riding ?
Hey man, when you talk about topic requests here is mine. What for you is the difference that separates someone from a good rider, to a great rider, to an elite rider? I've seen fast people ride like garbage, so my maths says it ain't just speed. Cheers old bean
Did you film the 1st 7-8 minutes on your phone? like you had dt's! How about stuff you use on your race bike (Triumph) that you can use on a road bike. exhausts, wheels, bearings. tyres!
@Leejohnston ha ok so I bought a hero 10 and a decent sd card and had problems with camera shutting off half way threw a session so sent it back and got a dji osmo3 and had same problem don't know if it was vibration on the bike or somthing else, you find insta to record full sessions
Hey Lee. Please look into upload quality. 1080p looks crap (especially from the X4) and does not do the justice to the quality delivered by insta cameras you are using.
Lee help me out with the yfood, tastes amazing but feck me it gives me some gas…….lost an inch off my waist just with the farting 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😂 Tell me I’m no the only gasser 🤷🏻♂️😂😂🙏🏻
Be good to take a look at Withams restorations. Everyone loves old two strokes.
A bit of everything, walk round race bikes, what Neil does to turn a road bike to a race bike, YZR500 up date, any 2stroke resto's, obviously your race weekends and recovery. Liked the Insta talk through. Just keep 'em relaxed and fun.
thank you for the feedback, its much appreciated!
im waiting for more on the yzr500 build
Walk around of the Triumph 765 with the fairings off would be good.
Yes to all the technical stuff, setup, mods, and restorations, ALL tech stuff is good. Particularly the 500 V4 Yam rebuild.
Cracking vlog as always Lee, Mr Whitham is the man could watch and listen to him all day..
Love Jim Whit, Such a star! 😃😎
Haha, you say nobody puts leathers on elegantly,, it’s the taking the fkrs off when your knackerd and sweaty is the elegant bit. 😂😂. Great vid again.
😂😂 thank you
Another great vlog Lee. As with others bit of everything. Would love a follow up on the yam 2 stroke. Any thing with Whit in is a plus.

Nice one Lee, thanks 👍👍
Love seeing the resto vids and the track day stuff

Nice to see you almost into the top 10 at Oulton. Hope the bleeding weather is better next time out.
Great video, Lee! I like the tech videos about the bikes and gear. It helps me get ideas for my stuff. Thank you for making the videos.
Great vlog again Lee, sorry I missed you at Oulton Park 🏍️💨
For a product review spot on mate. 👍🏻

How about a YZR500 update?
Wheels painted? Carbon discs fitted?
Ridden yet?
Drool, etc......😁👍
thank you! will include these details in the next few videos! appreciate the feedback
I use Jim from Scott’s leathers he use to make suits for many tt riders great suits❤❤
Would be interesting to see what you do on a one to one track day, obviously client permitting
would need a volunteer 👀😂

another great video 😁 who was that strange homeless guy who wander into the garage 🤔 rambling on at the end of the video ☺🤣😜😉

he didn't come in the end, will have to be one for another video. sorry about that 😝 keeping you all in suspense!
Any news on the 500 you was restoring with wit
👀👀
I would love to know what Christie uses for editing your footage?
premiere pro, all the tools she uses are from the adobe software

Pub argument are supertech R inner boots ment to go under the leathers or over the leathers before you do the outer up??😅

What boots are they?
what memory card do you use in the cameras lee?
just a normal sd card
@Leejohnston ha ok so I bought a hero 10 and a decent sd card and had problems with camera shutting off half way threw a session so sent it back and got a dji osmo3 and had same problem don't know if it was vibration on the bike or somthing else, you find insta to record full sessions
go pro kept saying repairing file after a session so thought maybe sd card
@@georgep4467 I have no issue at all with the insta mate if you fancy it I’ll send you a link
