Picking a ball from the jar, because the Russian guy refused to do any offensive move. You stall you get rewarded! Whoever came up with that crazy idea should not be allowed to be involved in wrestling ever again no matter who won this match.
@@ryannavarro391I believe Khabib’s wrestling coach was the one that actually DEFINITELY Out Wrestled Cael even when the refs were on Caels side. He still loss.
I agree. Im not sure how much time he would have to get to wrestle with other top notch guys though since I would imagine coaching is keeping him very busy
The Russian never attempted any offence the entire match. That is some shady wrestling. Being a wrestler means going out and taking the match not hoping the other guy will tire out or make a mistake or get a ball pick. The Russian just played the luck game
The guys he coaches are wrestling at an elite level. They are wrestling D1 at one of the greatest programs in history. They absolutely give him a challenge.
Actually Cael is at the top of his game! He was indomitable at college style wrestling, then adapted his style to world freestyle and won Olympic gold in 2004. Then he took time off for full-time coaching, moved to Penn State, and is now prepping for gold medal #2. He is treated very unfairly, as are all US wrestlers, at world wrestling venues, with horrible calls and grossly biased referees. But Cael participates in order to qualify for the Olympics, which is what matters to HIM!
The ref was horrible to watch. Like, I'm going to give you a warning blue but, it's ok. I'll give red one too so you dont feel like I'm picking on you. That being said, Cael did not have a plan once he got that leg. :|
Some ridiculous judging, ripping Cael off. This kind of display might be why there is talk of getting rid of wrestling in the Olympics. I'm even Russian and I'm embarrassed. 🙄
#1 That was one lanky Russian. #2 "Stalling" only exists in American Scholastic/folkstyle & Collegiate wrestling. #3 The referee could have called "passivity" at least twice in one of the periods. So, yes, it appears Sanderson got hosed.
cael sanderson is true wrestle he is legend

Russia
Still cant figure out why a large group of people prefer freestyle to folkstyle. I dont love the freestyle rules of today but these here are crazy
And this is why they had a million rule changes. What is crazy is that this is a retired Cael Sanderson.
7 year layoff
@@ryannavarro391he loss to Dagestan wrestlers in his prime before that 7 year layoff.

working with young talented guys like david taylor should give him some work out i think
This is cael after many years of not competing
Not really he had just come off of a 6 year break, besides most of these guys are the equivalent of cael for their country
Please explain the red ball and the blue cube. This just doesn't make sense. Worse than penalty kicks in soccer to decide a match,.
Father time is still undefeated. Wished he never had done this.
Is this ball pull thing still in use in 2020
no, thank god
hell yeah. all kinds of kinky shit.
Thats true although I doubt he is training too intense because of coaching and the guys he coaches probably dont give him much of a challenge

@@anonymousanonymous7593 they don’t I’m sure Cael runs through everyone in that room

@@dejo5009 why are you blowing him? It's okay to admit he's passed his prime. He's older, it happens
Passive Russian. Like 10x
Blue did nothing the entire match. Thank goodness those rules are done. Maybe the worst rules era wrestling has seen
Totally agree, it's like it was set up to be rigged whenever they felt
I'm so glad the rules are the way they are now back then it was just so cockamamie
but hes been training with the dv1 wrestlers throughout the season though…

he qualified for world tournament
The ball draw format and rounds sucked... the current rules with step out, criteria, no OT are waaaay better

I do not miss the stupid ball pull whatsoever.

I guess they don’t have stalling calls in this style of wrestling.
this is like 20% of cael sanderson wrestling
Wow! The rules sure were stupid back then.
سلام پهلوانی جوانمردی گذشت فقط برازنده تختی بود چون پهلوان تختی به کوچکتر از خودش سلام میدادوسر خم میکرد روحش شاد یادش گرامیباد
Imagine, still pisses me off.. That ref was horrible.. Cael attacked the whole time.. definitely passive on blue… ugh so frustrating
ther Russian had no biceps, but won. How?
Technique should never be underestimated.
dide that russian sucked any real wrestler can win a match if the ref lets u stall like that
sad to see how cael is losing his touch now… 159-0 and now… times catching up...
No one stays young forever. That stated, Cael at 40, or 50 years old could probably score two on many half his age.
Orlando
Very easily

Hate the ball rule , that ref sucked as well
Boring!!!!!! Do something
Who would like a sport with such stupid rules?
The rules are a lot better now
they had more technique than the american ;) !
Abdur Rahman how do you figure? he stalled all through the match
