They exist in different cinematic universes. Plus look at it this way: they nerfed Wanda in the MCU and she's _still_ one of the most powerful members of the Avengers...arguably the most powerful. And while Jean Grey's story in the movies is widely considered to suck--in either incarnation--Wanda rocks.

@@joshuasynnott7779 Wanda in the Comics changes the Earth not the entire 616 universe. Still bigger than a town but that doesn't mean she can't overwrite the Earth in the MCU...only that she didn't. The goals of 616 Wanda in the comics at the time of the House of M..and MCU Wanda at the time of Wandavision are very different too. 616 Wanda uttered, "no more mutants" and rewrote and unconsciously rewrote the world to accomplish that. MCU Wanda just wanted a happy home with Vision and took over a town to accomplish that. We saw later that she could push the boundaries of her spell so I could've been larger. But MCU Wanda at the time of her casting didn't want that. She didn't want to take over the world...she just wanted her place in it. Plus having her take over the world would've made her an Avengers level threat..and would've been something that would be more fitting for a movie than a television show. With much bigger players working against her.
I read up on Scarlet Witch in the comics. She's my favorite Female Superhero.
