Zamasu has gained the power of the dark Goku with the help of KYOJI!
I know it's not a perfect comparison but when Gohan is down an arm fighting Cell he tells Goku he's lost because of his cowardice, his hubris, and his weakness. While here Trunks tells Zamasu to take his love, his hope, and all of his sorrow. It's just crazy to me that Trunks after losing so much can still find reasons to fight... three to be exact. That's why future Trunks is my favorite character.

Even Goku and Vegeta can use the spirit sword, Goku uses this technique in the first fight with adult Trunks and then in their rematch in the manga, then to cut off Majin Vegeta's ki attack, and finally to stop Jiren's energy sphere
