In a world where children were often swaddled tight, sent to work by age seven, and schooled in the harshest of manners, how did the experiences of Tudor children shape the foundations of modern childhood?

Great insightful content. The concept of childhood was not the same indeed and has evolved through time in history. This is heart touching as the little ones are vulnerable innocent creatures who need to be protected regardless their gender, social status and times. It's always a pleasure watching your beautiful videos. Thank you 🙏🏻
Something a little different glad you enjoyed it. Thanks 😊
Love it. I would love too see one about the secret lives of Tudor women. The work, regular life, child birth, etc. Thanks Jon.
Can't promise but will see what I can do. It won't be soon, though, got lots of other stuff lined up. Thanks 😊
Very interesting and educational video. I learned a lot today about the educational and social aspects of Tudor children and young adults. I personally think that children are a very over indulged these days, and society is more fragmented than during the Tudor years. Also boys were considered to be much more valuable than girls back then, and although things have improved, some ethnic groups still lag behind unfortunately. Thank you again for your excellent work. 😊
Much appreciated thank you 😊
So very well spoken Jon. Your videos are always an absolute joy. Thank you so very much for sharing them. 🌹🌺
Thank you Elizabeth for the kind words 😊

Boy it was tough back then! I am glad I grew up in this time. They had to be brave. I'm a chicken 🐔! Thanks Jon!❤😊
Its still tough today for some Theresa. But I know what you mean. Thank you 😊
Great video, something different. We live in times of turmoil and for some people life today is quite hard and painful, but I'm glad to live nowadays. Times back then were really tough. Well presented. Thank you🙏

Thank Jane, you and me both! 😊
My children were born early 70’s and I remember my Aunty coming one day. There were the little ones, crawling age, going as fast as they could after the bigger ones 2-3 years. Then they went outside to play ( with us of course). My Aunty said “ our children were kept in nighties till they were nearly 5. Difference - no antibiotics when my cousin and I were young. That was a huge, huge change for parents and children 🙏🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
Great story and shows how times have changed even in recent history. Thanks 😊
