oh there is definetly a right way to play the su25. stay away from a bulk of enemies. your target is to take out ground targets and be aware of enemies around you at all times. once u see someone closer than 5 km, turn into them and use your all aspect rockets in head ons, most enemies wont be able to flare them off under 2km range. you are not a turn fighter, when ur missle misses or you dont get it off. youre kinda screwed he will be on your tail soon after. When the match starts, dont fly straight into the map, stay left or right side far out and get onto the ground targets from there. hope this helps a bit.
Thanks for the tips! Honestly, I play most planes a bit sneakily like that, except for maybe the Yak-28B which at its BR can just outrun the enemies a lot of the time. But yeah, the Su-25 will rarely work in head on dogfights (unless you bring friendlies and the enemy is distracted), but is a pretty cool strike aircraft against ground units!
@@krissythecatboi oh the head ons are great for you, dont underestimate it, you are kinda the only plane at this br with missles that have the option to fire head on. they are called all aspects, thats what i meant. dogfighting yea, not one of your options. but the first head on is 90% a kill when u get your missle off.
People here aren’t mentioning that the Su-25 is actually pretty fast. Not supersonic, but you can run to your team if you need to. Its energy retention is also decent, so if you turn without pulling super hard you can keep your speed up to keep maneuvering out of enemy guns.
Yeah, I just unlocked the Su-25 and personally it feels like it gets outmatched by almost EVERY other jet. Bombing with it in sim though is REALLY good for research.
I mean, I do love how versatile it is, you get all sorts of missiles, rockets, bombs, even gun pods. Except, you know, flies like a brick... a slow brick.
