Lesson learned: "Never judge a person on your first impression". Actually, he's the funniest of them all. Thanks judge Aga for fighting for Russell. It will be a huge lost without him in the band. Power vote po tayo ngayong weekend sa kanya :)

I don't think he's arrogant but he really has a strong personality this is how a lot of guys in the states behave and yeah it's just the culture and the way he was raised, same with Yeng's opinion I hope he can work on his personality more. Filipinos are more into humble guys and we find it more appealing but still he's so attractive and has a good voice, damn that jawline is a work of art.

he is not being arrogant, he is just being confident about himself. what I see in him is very competitive person because that's how they were raised in US. you have to sell yourself. prove them that you are the right person for that spot.

Si aga kasi marunong kumilatis ng may future we have the same gut ako din eh. Kapag may nakita ako sa tv na na reject o di nanalo sinasabi ko sa sarili ko na itong tao na to sisikat kasi may potential. Katulad ni Manly Ocampo and Dan ombao isa sa mga nakitaan ko na makilala one day and it happens. :)

Niel , is Considered the First Lead Vocals, Second Lead Vocals is Russel ... In terms of Singing Niel can harmonize them all if someone gets out of tune Niel easily fix it , Russel sometimes goes of of tune Niel does not ... If you've watched all their covers you can tell it by yourself ... It's just like the boyband pattern of Westlife for example ,, We can Imagine Niel as Shane Filan '(Major Lead Vocals) And Russell as Mark Feehily ( Second Lead Vocals Highest Range ) ..
What I'm trying to say is Even if you have the Highest vocal Range doesn't mean you are the Lead Singer ... watch Their Collaboration together with Jona ,, Niel started it before Russell that simply means Niel is the Lead Vocals...

He is born and raised in the states but his mom and dad is from the Philippines, both full blooded pinoy who are born and raised in Camiguin(dad) and Cagayan de Oro City(mom). And to the people who are saying he is arrogant, you guys are wrong. He is actually a very cool and kind kid. I have met and talk with him in person, he is really nice and well disciplined.
He is one of the most talented kids that I remember from school, he has an amazing voice and personality! You guys just need to get to know him better :) Good Luck Russell

He sings really good... He was not arrogant for me but just being confident. I've met a lot of people who arrives like this but are actually sweet and loving, and he seems respectful which is a big opposite of rudeness and arrogance... Humility is a gift... some appears to be but they really aren't... the moment you think you are humble, that's the time you lose it... rare rare gift...
with the people comparing him to Niel, based on the middle rounds, Niel showed some negativity which made his groupmates drew away from him instead of closer... Niel too has a good voice... but who knows... this is a show, where things can be twisted and manipulate viewers... so just slow down with judgment guys... lets give them chances to prove themselves worthy to be part of the show...

I actually remembered Taecyeon of 2pm(k-boy band) from Russell. He was also very confident of himself to the point that people just laughed at him and his 'arrogance' towards the judges. Maybe that was just him being from the states. They were both so confident yet later on found to be really sweet, bubbly, caring, kind, etc. I love both as artists. Theyareso passionate. 😉

Nakakainis lang talaga yung pinatigil siya ni Aga in the middle of singing. Geez, let the guy sing, he's doing a heck of a job. But anyways, ngayon he's a frontrunner in the competition na. As a Filipino-American, it's a shame that we are ultimately judged by our own native people. As much as we would like to learn about our culture through first hand experience, it can be extremely expensive to visit the country. He wants to learn more about his culture and I believe he should be given a chance! The Philippines is known to American music artists because of the warmth of the Filipino people, but why is that when one of their own comes to visit people assume the worst before even getting to know him or her.

I think what he did is to overcome his nervousness by sounding a bit cocky... but after he was stopped by Aga he rattled and sounded too weak. I still like it, because he sounded too well on the middle rounds... I hope he could make it, I really like his jaw line...
