Wow, How incredible. Brought me to tears, what a soul. Thank you for sharing such beautiful gift with us. A new favorite song to play on repeat for years to come.
Always feel like this song echoes so many older songs. Not direct quotes, just little snatches. "Not even your cloud would ever withstand the song from your mouth" (Metallic Cloud); "So they took all your scripts , and the rain from your eyes" (A reference to Window?); "To some other city you made up in your mind" (Maraqopa?). Loads of others, but these are the ones which spring to mind right now.
I was thinking the exact same thing. You're very on point for Metallic Cloud and Maraqopa. Not sure about Window. But it's so cool to think about all these references he makes and how the songs and albums are actually carrying the same story he created of Maraqopa
Don't forget possibly the biggest reference in here, "questions that lead to more questions" a la Working Titles! Jurado has always been pretty self-referential, but his later work shows it even more (take a listen to his most recent album's ender, with the heavy nod to AM AM)
"I'm alive. Can you hear me?"
If you ever doubt what's possible just strumming a few chords, just watch some of this guy's live stuff. All so delicate and precise.

He should rent a yoga class room and do a "how to release trauma workshop"
Superb 1111 ♠♣♦❤

So beautiful. Does anyone know what three cords he is playing throughout this song?
It's basically F, C/G, G
Does anyone know the strumming pattern he uses?
**cough cough**
On beat though 🤔
White mans soul music, nostalgic melancholia,, gotta love it❤️
