I like that you provided alternatives instead of just roasting products. I also prefer makeup without skincare ingredients because I avoid hyaluronic acid like the plague 😂.
I totally get what you’re saying about the Lisa Eldridge palettes. I love the two that I got (Sorcery and Vega) but I think people bought them with Pat McGrath expectations when LE has a very different aesthetic. For example, I never buy Chanel quads because IMO they’re meh (no pigment, nothing special about the formula, etc) but then again they aren’t made for someone like me. I never understand why people get upset over differing makeup opinions. It’s not that deep 😂
Yes that is exactly right! I think it was a tricky situation because Lisa had never launched eyeshadow palettes before so everyone automatically imagines what it’s going to be in their head and then one half gets disappointed. Now we all know her style of eyeshadow
I’m with you on hyalauonic acid! Everyone’s obsessed and puts it in everything but it’s SO DRYING for me! I’ve started avoiding it in skincare especially (I’m from RI, so I’m with you on the New England climate)
Love your honest reviews and everyone should have a different opinion! I agree about the Milk Mascara, it was horrible, flake city. Do love that you shared what did work for you! Love these end of the year roundups! ❤
I totally agree with you on the mario palette. I can use any of my neutral mattes in my palettes and Sephora Collection shadow singles for the topper shades. They are called glitter shades but they are smooth and give that wet look effect with sparkle. I purchased Ballet Shoes, Twinkle Twinkle and Let's Party. I love them....not to mention I purchased them for 30% off.
Sophia ❤, thanks for the honest review. I also think it was a great idea to balance out the personal worst with your personal preferences. Very helpful. Also, while I respect all brands, I appreciate you were bold enough to share your honest opinion about some more niche/smaller brands. I feel that often we get a positively biased review of these products, and we all deserve some more objectivity. So thanks again. ❤
Excellent video! So glad I found your channel recently. I’m a Greek American too but loved your content way before I found that out in your last video. You present the content so well. I agree with you on most of your fails. Unfortunately I didn’t like a few of them either. Especially the Mario palette.
Hello Sofia!! Me encantan tus videos y la sinceridad con la que dices todo. Me fio mucho de tus consejos y delos buenos o malos productos. Gracias por ser tan honesta, no cambies!!! gracias!! 😘😘
Thanks for helping us manage our expectations on products that for the most part aren’t awful across the board, but maybe they’re just over hyped and expensive. I don’t want to pay extra for good intentions, haha!
Love the Makeup Forever foundation, could not get Haus to work. It kept accentuating my lines. I also have very dry skin, but no longer have that natural youthful skin you have, and that may be why :) But the Makeup Forever foundation has been one of my favorites so far! Ill have to check out the Chanel one. I keep trying more and more just to see what all is out there now. (So much!!!)
It’s so great you gave another alternatives! I’m so glad I didn’t pick up the LE eyeshadow palette.. it’s nice but it’s not that special in my opinion.
Hey Sofia! I have a similar skin type to you so happy I see several of my favorites on your list. I’m also glad I also chose to skip on your least favorites. Thanks for sharing!❤
I like the Kosas as a mixing foundation. I blend in some with my full coverage foundations and works like a charm. Worst purchase is definitely Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue foundation. The sunscreen in it makes my eyes tear up.
Thank you sooo much for your honesty! As always. I was so relieved to hear that most foundations in 2022 didn’t work for you either - I thought I was alone! I thought maybe I’m too old for foundation, I’m only mid-40’s lol, so I hope that’s not the case. I loved your foundation alternatives that you recommended. I haven’t tried the CDP cream foundation but I’m curious to try it, and also the Chanel water fresh tint blushes - you’ve intrigued me :) Fantastic video, thanks for your hard work to keep us informed
I agree with you on most of these things. And, like you, when I saw the Lisa Eldridge palettes online they were a pass for me. But....I watched a few reviewers and the Vega palette was Really interesting. I have an embarrassment of makeup, but I didn't have anything with the combination of colors with those undertones. I took out all of my Viseart, Natasha Denona, Pat McGrath and more palettes and couldn't quite duplicate it. The subtle variations of undertones were impossible for me to copy after I got it. Especially that Slate gray that has a blue cast to it. It's really genius. And the "shimmer" gives the whole look a glass-like appearance that lasts with a finger application. All in one little palette. It is a standout among the others. Sorcery is cool but I'd never wear it. Tower 28 mascara has been sold out at Sephora for months. So I think you nailed that trending thing.💚
That's a really fair assessment of the Lisa Eldridge palettes. I tried again with the Muse this morning and it just doesn't do much for me. It's fine. But I have better and was really hoping for magic, especially given the price and the creator. I have Sorcery and Myth and feel like I need to use other palettes alongside them. Again, not the end of the world, I was just hoping to find them exciting to use on their own
Okay in that case I’m glad that I didn’t get it. I was so obsessed with the palette that had the green, olive shades. But it was sold out. I don’t think I’ll bother to check if they ever restock. Thanks both for the review. Has been super helpful
Chanel water fresh tint may be my No 1 foundation. It’s enough coverage for my taste and it mixes really well with supergoop niacinamide sunscreen. Edit. I love the Chanel water tint blushes too! And they last. Another great liquid blush is the Daniel Sandler brand. For both I use the Rephr No 4 brush or the similar brush from Koyudo to get a perfect blend. I need to try the CDP foundation you mentioned at some point. But I have a brand new Chanel already waiting for when I finish my current bottle and I recently bought the Flower Beauty dewy foundation and it’s spectacular and my best ever shade match so I can’t currently justify another luxury foundation.
I picked up both the Chantecaille future skin and the Caliray skin tint last month and those two and the Chanel No 1 are the only ones I’ve been wearing. Everyone loves the NARS Light Reflecting Foundation but I don’t know if it makes my skin look as amazing as everyone says. I have the LYS and my skin loves it but it’s just okay for me. Covers but nothing special. The Rare beauty skin tint looks beautiful and I love that it has SPF but I’m suspicious that it breaks me out. I do like the Merit shade cheeky but it doesn’t last. Im interested in trying the Chanel water-fresh products! Great video as always.
I hated the Pat Mcgrath venusian nude highlighter. SO much glitter. The Haus labs foundation was very good. Not on par with my favourite Cle De Peau fluid natural foundation, but close
Hey Sofia! I didn’t care for the Le Muse palette either 😢 38:19 I did pick up the VB Smoky Quartz eyeliner and do love that one- her Cocoa and Bronze are my two go to’s in the line..
Re your comments about the skincare in foundations- case in point the reformulated Dior Forever foundations. The Glow was my “holy grail” and now neither the matte or the glow versions work for me 😭 I haven’t been able to find any new foundation that works well for my combo skin .
@@SofiaSeesBeauty Yes, it’s so sad because it’s the base for all of the other makeup that we apply on top-powder, blush, bronzer, etc. And I know it’s not the same for everyone but the problem I had with both versions are all in the appearance of them on my skin. The old Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation version didn’t accentuate my pores or dry skin & oily T-zone areas. It didn’t look matte but was natural looking without being shiny at the same time. And it wore well even though I get a little oily throughout the day. However, the new Glow version doesn’t minimize the appearance of my skin pores & dry areas but does the opposite. Whereas the old Glow version gave the foundation a skin-like finish on me, the new one just highlights my flaws. And I heard a few people say the new Matte version worked for them like the old Glow version did so I tried that too and only experienced that it was of course too matte and did not help out my dry areas & pores either. 🤷♀️ I’ve tried Estée Lauder foundations and Charlotte Tilbury but haven’t yet found anything that works well for me. I’m currently trying a Beauty Blender foundation and ordered some Tarte bb creams to give a shot. I’m desperate to find a new go-to that doesn’t make my skin look terrible. 😞
No one should be offended that someone doesn’t like certain makeup. But a way to maybe combat that us to call it least favorite makeup instead of worst makeup. Worst sounds well worst somehow than least favorite maybe lol
People just go after others for no reason especially in the beauty community. For example I LOVE morphe but not everyone does. But i don’t care. It’s good for me so im not gonna listen to people who tell me otherwise
I actually agree! I feel like the title should be Faves and Dislikes. Unless a product performs poorly then i feel it shouldn’t be labeled as worst. People have different preferences and expectations out of makeup so just because someone doesn’t like it because it doesn’t fit those preferences then it doesn’t mean that the product is bad. But I personally don’t feel offended if someone doesn’t like a product that I enjoy.
Ooh the CT beautiful skin was great for me for events. But not good longer than 4 hours. And I have normal to oily skin in summer and normal to dry in winter. ❤
The Kosas foundation was the worst I ever tried. I also was zapped dry within hours - when I happened to catch sight of myself I was shocked to see a ton of wrinkles under my eyes and on my cheeks and a totally arid skin look. I've been enjoying the Clé de Peau cushion foundation.
New subscriber here! I’m loving your videos, they’re so informative and helpful! Also, weird compliment, but your teeth are so beautiful! I’m excited to catch up on some of your older videos and for what’s to come :)
how has the dyson air wrap been working out for you? did you keep it? hehe. one thing to note about hyaluronic acid is that it can make your skin drier, in drier climates if not sealed in. whereas it will draw moisture in from humid environments. if you google it you'll get a better explanation, but it does explain your varying experiences. overall i agree we don't need extra skincare in our makeup (or spf). that being said i'm totally excited to try the haus labs foundation, it's the first one that has more coverage than i normally wear and i'm really looking forward to using. i looooved how it felt on my skin when i swatched it. fingers crossed i ordered the right shade! also i luckily dodged all the tweed quads and caved in to the holiday quad bc you're right, the formula is great and there's just something beautiful about that warm color story. x
I like the Dyson and did decide to keep it. But the problem I have so far is I just don't have the time to dedicate towards using it all the time. I only wash my hair maybe once or twice a week and doing the whole head with the Dyson takes probably 4x the time than if I just go to bed with wet hair and use a curling iron in the morning.
@@SofiaSeesBeauty hahaha i think you may of cured me of all fomo! i do the same minus the curling iron so it’s unlikely i’d somehow take the time to fully benefit from it 😅. i did finally pick up a GHD curling wand tho, so hopefully that’s not too fussy!
I found you because of your tweed palette review! And I have watched every video since then. You are my favorite 😍 I actually really love the tweed palettes and you talked me down from buying them all. I only got 3 and 4. Thank you for helping me not spend all my money 🤭
The worst thing for me in 2022 is eyeshadow primer from Milk. It literally NEVER dries down. Creates slippery mess. Any eyeshadow move around and go on blotchy. Honestly this is the worst product I have ever bought 🤦♀️🤪 New foundation from CT was a big no for me as well. I tried to make it work a few times but for some reason it made my pores look like craters, sitting on top the skin. I love this type of video, so fun to watch !
Hi Sofia, I dislike the Charlotte Tilbury foundation, it was not for me. You saved me a lot of money with the Channel tweed reviews you did. I did buy the Makeup by Mario and 2 of the Lisa Eldridge palettes ( too quick I should have waited for review). I wear makeup daily, even when I am just at home, so these are my daytime palettes, not a choice for my evening out palette. I don't think I would purchase again. The tower 28 mascara is technically not a tubing mascara, but is a clean mascara. I learned this after I bought it while researching tubing mascaras. I use the Hourglass on my bottom lashes and the Tower 28 on my upper lashes. The Chanel liners I have been wearing for years, they are easy to apply. I want to try the Haus labs foundation, but the colors are line are wonky. Another great video, thanks.
Hi Sofia! I was wondering if you could give me some advice on how to apply the Haus Labs foundation? I bought it a few weeks ago and ended up returning it after two wears because it made my skin look dry, clung to dry patches, and emphasized texture that I didn’t even know I had lol. Similar to you, I have dry and dehydrated skin, but I feel like I’ve nailed my skincare routine down to where I never have these problems with my existing foundations. When I used the Haus Labs foundation, both times I didn’t use a primer because I never tend to use a primer anyways and I used a dry sponge. I didn’t experiment with a brush or damp sponge which I probably should’ve, but I was just kind of surprised and turned off by how it made my skin look so I returned it immediately. I never really use a damp sponge to apply my foundations by the way because I’ve never had a problem with my other foundations when doing so. Thanks in advance :)
Hello!! I am so sorry you had trouble with this foundation! I don’t usually use primers and prefer a brush application most of the time. That being said, I think you did the right thing returning it because you don’t need to make it work for you just because the product is hyped up. It could be that the foundation was reacting to something in your skincare but if you’re skincare is working for you then keep up with it because there’s so many good foundations out there now!
Everyone can’t like every product they use. That’s why there’s so much around. We all have different likes and needs and skin. Plus how else would we declutter and give wonderful products to others who love them. My nieces love love the products I give them. I am much older with dry skin. I don’t use powder products but keep buying them because “they’re so pretty”. My nieces love them. And I have so much that I end up giving them products I like but just have too many of. Anyway, reviewing g why you don’t like a product helps others to know if they would or not before buying it. Doesn’t make the video negative. Just informative.
🤭Maybe you and I are the only ones on the planet who didnt like the Mario palette this year. But that's ok. We have our Natasha Denona palettes to use instead. I actually returned mine and I never do that. Big disappointment when every creator was hyping it up. O and I came over from Charlotte's channel. Just love her. Glad I watched your video. You have have a great channel.
I found your channel due to your review on the Lisa Eldridge palettes. Such a good & detailed review! I seem to be your mother as I like those palettes a lot, they do not crease and do exactly what I want: a make-up I wear and not the other way round. I did get Myth, Vega and Sorcery. I watched your Victoria Beckham review and learned a lot about the brand (consider purchasing the bronzer). You do a great job and I am very grateful!
I love almost all Chanel makeup especially the eyeshadow. You were right about the tweed palettes 👎🏻 they were nothing special but everyone made out they were amazing. I should have listened to you.
DM liners are awesome, but only in certain colors. Rose quartz and amethyst are great, and they actually come out duochrome, love to use them as one and done, they are super waterproof like urban decay used to be some time ago. Other colors yeah, they are good but not really duochome. For real duochrome effect I love her chrome flakes in light colors, pixie dust and lazer beam are so gorgeous, I got tons of complements from guys.. which never happens as they never notice make up anything 😂 they are crazy waterproof, I know a lot of people didn’t like it, but it comes to a technique, if one ever used glitter liners, it is quite similar, you need to build them layer by layer with a bit of product, letting each one dry a bit prio to applying thee next one, tapping and not gliding. Then it builds beautifully
Ugh I just got the Lisa Eldridge Vega palette and I’m soooo disappointed. It’s just not good! Even with primer it faded like crazy. And for the price? No way.
Not to be mean but PML has really unattractive packaging (IMO). However, her highlighters she released (the ones that come in 4 shades) are so pretty and I’m not even a big highlighter person. I definitely jumped the gun on the Mario palette. It’s pretty but I didn’t need it. I also got it for $40 so it could be worse. Loved this video!
hyaluronic acid doesn’t work for me either. googled a bit and apparently hyaluronic acid is a humectant - it draws moisture from the environment. it isn’t absorbed by the skin, it “sits” on top of it. if it is dry where you live and it cannot draw moisture from the air, it can draw moisture from the skin, making the skin even drier.
I think some of these newer formulations have a lower molecular weight that does sink into the skin -but you are exactly right that it can pull off the moisture from the skin!
These videos are so helpful! I have bought 4 Tom Ford Quads over the last year and only love one and like one. The other two are getting sold on Mercari. I have bought 6 CT quads and only love 2. It’s ok to love what you love and dislike what you dislike
Hi Sofia! I always love your video! Anyway, if you have and tried the MERIT Great Skin Insrtant Glow Serum, can you please let me know your opinion? Thank you!
Hello! I have a little demo of me using that product in my recent beauty gift guide video. I think it's nice if you like a moisturizing oil-based primer. It is good for adding a little "slip" to your face for the foundation to glide on. It doesn't add any shimmer or pigmentation, however.
It is weirdly fun to think back over the year and consider what I think are the worst makeup products I tried. For foundation, I'd have to go with L'Oreal's serum foundation. Oxidised after an hour and had a rancid smell after 4-5 mths. It is best to use it every single day to avoid waste. Worst mascara is a tie between Inika Curvy Lash Mascara and Chanel's Noir Allure. The Inika is barely noticable on me and is such a thin formula. The Allure was flakey and SMUDGES BAD! As for lipstick, Jane Iredale's lipsticks. Very average pigment, very average feel on the lips and very average colours. Brow product goes to Chanel's brow gel. Hard to work with, looks clumpy and no shade (of the coloured range) worked for me. Eyeshadow has to be the GXVE by Gwen Stefani. It isn't bad, but so neutral that they are quite boring. Worse payoff than the Chanel Tweed Poupre. Yup. 😐
Understandable because I have an opinion that most won't agree I don't like and don't get along with PATMAGRATH eyeshadow palettes. Wow shocking? There are a lot of people raving about bronze seduction patmagrath palette I HATE IT.I keep only for 3 shades haha don't come for meee .And some dior quids I didn't really like and a quad from the 3 I own from Tom ford one I hate other is meh and the other it's mmm better not loving it.The majority of products I love are from CT .LOVE YOU KOUKLA SOFIA AND YOUR VIDEOS. LOTS OF LOVE ALL THE WAY FROM GREECE 🇬🇷 ♡♡♡♡
A lot of people have problems either with ND or PMG. I don’t think it is not really shocking. But PMG has a looot of stans it’s true 😅 Also I think quality varies between palettes, I find later ones better than earlier ones. For example I prefer moonlit seduction to bronze one in terms of quality. The shades are more smooth and easier to work with on average. Never understood hype for TF and Dior shadows either, they are so bad, always blended into each other for me. Shimmers were way to fine to highlight my eyes. I understand maybe they target more mature skin, but still. I think Lisa Eldridge did a better job in this regard
@@kamrenfields454 saw a lot of people saying the same 😃 for me both are good, but PMG works tiny bit better. Cream to powder in ND is hit and miss for me depending on color. But I have a very weird skin texture on lids, a lot of products don’t work for me where they work for majority of people… Like NYX jumbo pencils for example, a lot of people loved those for yeeeears, for me they just don’t stay and budge like crazy
Lol! I agree! I feel like I have to try really hard to like how PMG products look on me. The foundation was a big fail for me as well as her concealer. Her under eye powder looks ok but not great. The eyeshadows look good but I realized I like ND and viseart shadows better 🤷🏻♀️😊
@@SofiaSeesBeauty yup! Every store. Cult beauty literally says ‘pristine’ condition. 😭 so surprised that you hated the kosas foundation but I haven’t tried it 🤣
@@Aijingaling Oh wow that is so interesting. I’m glad you told me that because a lot of times I just assume these things are the same across all countries. You are the first person to tell me that
Haha, I commented on Tara's video about the Chanel blush. I really think she just has a bad color. I bought deep apricot on your recommendation and I like it!
Ugh. Clean beauty will be the death of us. It forces us to buy more and more often. I refuse to buy anything without preservatives, short shelf life etc. I will not buy Kosas for that very reason.
Yes it went bad on me too. I know a lot of people who have no idea what I'm talking about and it's always someone who only has 1 concealer and uses it up in that 3 months
Chanel Les Beiges Eau De Teint Water Fresh Tint!! I´m so disapointed!!! I didn't feel it moisturized. It was tight and itchy all the time, so I threw it away. I have mature skin and therefore it would provide moisture, I who need it, but no!! It proves that these big brands have their flaws. All is not well. It was expensive, so I was terribly disappointed.
The CT Beautiful Skin made my skin look GORGEOUS until the 2 hr mark and imagine my surprise when I looked in my rearview mirror and saw I looked like I had beef jerkey taped to my face
@@SofiaSeesBeauty I live in the swamp, aka Tampa Fl. So that’s saying something if it was dry and aging on my skin! I couldn’t believe it changed so drastically after a few hours. Hauled my cookies to Sephora and returned that crap quicker than you could say a classic CT DAHHHHLING 😀
Hyaluronic acid tends to really dry out my skin. I hate when it's included in makeup. (And skincare, oddly enough. Cleansers and moisturizers with HA still make my face feel horrible.) Not a fan lol I finally found a foundation I like this year! (Dior forever matte) 😁 It only took.... 38 tries. 🤦♀️🤷♀️ It's not my "most perfect skin ever" super up close, because I do have dry/combo textured (sensitive and acne prone) skin, but it feels like nothing on, wears really nicely, looks practically the same by the end of a long day, and overall looks nice and skin-like, the best I've tried on my skin in a long time.
I'm obsessed with the WA skin tint packaging, it looks so travel makeup bag friendly while still being adorable. But oily dry barely there pigment sounds pretty unappealing 😕
I really like the tower 28 mascara, too. I rotate between ilia limitless and the tower 28. (My beloved holy grail mascara was discontinued- Laura Geller LashBOSS the original one). Omg I tried the tarte tartelette tubing mascara and it flaked within 15 minutes of the first use! Plus it was nearly impossible to remove (took at least 10-15 eyelashes with it🥺)
I am very surprised of your thoughts about Lisa Eldridge's makeup. I don't like hearing against Lisa's products, They are the very best you can ever see on the Market, and They are totally free of cheminais and are pet friendly. I dont think your eyes itchiness are from her eye shadows as I am very sensitive and They are the softest eyeshadows I have found for the eyes.
Everything is a chemical, even water 🙃 even super good quality products can be irritating on the skin. For me it's usually purple shadows that might do it
@@SofiaSeesBeauty You are right, only some companies add some damaging products that other companies don't do. Lisa is super-mindful about her products. Have a beautiful day Sarah!
People have to be more responsible about buying and returning, we are producing a lot of trash and it's time for us to assume our responsibility. I thought young generations would already maked an evolution about protecting environment
That is a very fair point. As a creator, I buy way more than the average person. But I try to offset this by I taking the time (hours for each video) to include a lot of comparisons and closeups in my reviews to prevent my subbies from buying things they don't need or might end up returning/throwing away. This video is talking about just a few things that I returned over the course of the year compared to all of the things that I didn't return
@@SofiaSeesBeauty yes but you influencers are the example people follow, may be if you do some reference sometimes on videos to remember people to have that thought before buying, it would make difference, since makeup TH-camrs never talk about it, like they don't care.
I hate skincare in makeup as well, it makes it expire much quicker, especially ones with SPF in them, they also usually smell weird. I prefer skincare to be skincare and makeup to me makeup. Makeup with skincare is total BS claims
For me also, I rotate my foundations a lot so it's hard for me to even get the full benefit (or notice the difference) of the skincare in the makeup. I'm trying to use the least amount of something like foundation as possible, which isn't really how I use skincare
That may be true but most influencers are not being paid by brands to speak about products. If we are paid to promote something we have to disclose that. So if they stop talking about a product it's because it's not at the top of their faves or they are on to newer products that might get more views
I disagree with you on almost everything you said .. especially about the foundations. I think the problem is definitely your skin type. The kosas foundation is one of the best I’ve ever used. I believe you’re extremely oily but you wanna be dry skin type so badly. Stop it!
It really depends on the person's skin type and the climate they live in. I mentioned that I know a lot of other people love these products, which is great. At 31 I think I know my skin type 😉
The westman Atelier skin tint looked great on my skin when I first applied it. I was especially happy because it seemed as though it was going to play well with my sunblock. 4 hours later it looked like a light layer of dried cracked putty-highly disappointed. Also the lisa eldridge "muse" eye pallette Matt shadows are too dry for my eyes and seems to emphasize texture. I don't know if it's the color or the formula.
I like that you provided alternatives instead of just roasting products. I also prefer makeup without skincare ingredients because I avoid hyaluronic acid like the plague 😂.

I need to watch some reviews of the Vega palette! That was one of the ones I was eyeing but didn’t pick up 😊
That's a really fair assessment of the Lisa Eldridge palettes.
Omg the Flower Beauty foundation is really good! I used to use that a few years ago
The Chanel No1 and that Nars foundation are at the top of my list to try!
I enjoyed this format very much. If there was a product I was considering but have your alternative recommendation, I can stop with the FOMO.
I am glad you like the format! Was trying not to be too negative
Woah re: the Lisa Eldridge eyeshadow palettes! Love the honesty, though!
😅😅
Julep eye liners are really good
I hated the Pat Mcgrath venusian nude highlighter.
Yes Cocoa and Bronze are my faves! I got those 2 for my mom
Re your comments about the skincare in foundations- case in point the reformulated Dior Forever foundations. The Glow was my “holy grail” and now neither the matte or the glow versions work for me 😭 I haven’t been able to find any new foundation that works well for my combo skin .
Noooo 😭 I’d love to hear what you think feels different about those! Some people say they can’t tell but others liked the older ones
I love Chantecaille Future Skin so much!
It's the best, truly.
Agree!
For her they were the worst products she tried, I see nothing wrong with that word and she’s not saying the products are necessarily bad in general!
Haha yes that is a great suggestion 😉 Sometimes us creators go for a more dramatic title/thumbnail
Ooh the CT beautiful skin was great for me for events. But not good longer than 4 hours. And I have normal to oily skin in summer and normal to dry in winter. ❤
Good to know!
Welcome!! Thank you, you are so sweet 😊
how has the dyson air wrap been working out for you? did you keep it? hehe. one thing to note about hyaluronic acid is that it can make your skin drier, in drier climates if not sealed in. whereas it will draw moisture in from humid environments. if you google it you'll get a better explanation, but it does explain your varying experiences. overall i agree we don't need extra skincare in our makeup (or spf). that being said i'm totally excited to try the haus labs foundation, it's the first one that has more coverage than i normally wear and i'm really looking forward to using. i looooved how it felt on my skin when i swatched it. fingers crossed i ordered the right shade! also i luckily dodged all the tweed quads and caved in to the holiday quad bc you're right, the formula is great and there's just something beautiful about that warm color story.
I live for these! 😁
🙌🙌
Do you have a link for the earrings you're wearing in this video? They're gorgeous!
I wish I did! These were an old pair I got from APM Monaco a few years ago but they have a lot of pretty similar hoop styles!
I found you because of your tweed palette review! And I have watched every video since then. You are my favorite 😍 I actually really love the tweed palettes and you talked me down from buying them all. I only got 3 and 4. Thank you for helping me not spend all my money 🤭
Omg yay welcome and thanks for staying! 🤗
Haus labs foundation is amazing. It’s literally all I’ve been wearing since it’s launched ❤
It's so good! I am happy for the brand on such a great launch
Does the Haus labs foundation set down?
@@chaosbecomesher it does! It doesn’t feel tacky but it retains kind of like a natural finish
The worst thing for me in 2022 is eyeshadow primer from Milk. It literally NEVER dries down. Creates slippery mess. Any eyeshadow move around and go on blotchy. Honestly this is the worst product I have ever bought 🤦♀️🤪
New foundation from CT was a big no for me as well. I tried to make it work a few times but for some reason it made my pores look like craters, sitting on top the skin.
I love this type of video, so fun to watch !
I heard someone say the same thing about that milk eye primer!
Oh really??My bad, I thought the Tower28 was tubing! Whoopsie
I have the eyes Irritation with Lisa Eldrige too
Nooo :(
🤭Maybe you and I are the only ones on the planet who didnt like the Mario palette this year. But that's ok. We have our Natasha Denona palettes to use instead. I actually returned mine and I never do that. Big disappointment when every creator was hyping it up. O and I came over from Charlotte's channel. Just love her. Glad I watched your video. You have have a great channel.
Welcome!! Thank you! Haha I know I returned mine too 😬
I found your channel due to your review on the Lisa Eldridge palettes.
I’m so glad!!
I LOVE ur lover videos thank u so much for this!!
You are so welcome! 🤗
I love almost all Chanel makeup especially the eyeshadow. You were right about the tweed palettes 👎🏻 they were nothing special but everyone made out they were amazing. I should have listened to you.
I wish they hadn't been SOOOOO expensive 😩
Thanks for those tips! Maybe I just needed to get a darker color in the Danessa eyeliners
I’ve heard the kaleidos ones are awesome and everything the DM ones aren’t, but havnt tried them myself.
Ugh I just got the Lisa Eldridge Vega palette and I’m soooo disappointed. It’s just not good! Even with primer it faded like crazy. And for the price? No way.
Aw no 😩 I am so sorry!
That Caliray dripping down your hand gave major runny diaper vibes! Ha.
Hahahahaahahaha I laughed so hard when I read this 😂😂😂
Not to be mean but PML has really unattractive packaging (IMO). However, her highlighters she released (the ones that come in 4 shades) are so pretty and I’m not even a big highlighter person.
I definitely jumped the gun on the Mario palette. It’s pretty but I didn’t need it. I also got it for $40 so it could be worse.
Loved this video!
I totally agree in the PML packaging. It puts me off entirely.
I like some of the packaging like the foundation but then some of it I hate 😅😅😅
You're too sweet Sofia to be a negative Nellie but still...I'm here for the roast 🔥🔥🔥😂🤣
😂😂😂
hyaluronic acid doesn’t work for me either. googled a bit and apparently hyaluronic acid is a humectant - it draws moisture from the environment. it isn’t absorbed by the skin, it “sits” on top of it. if it is dry where you live and it cannot draw moisture from the air, it can draw moisture from the skin, making the skin even drier.
Yes totally! The prices also are getting so crazy that I understand why people mostly buy things that have a lot of good reviews or go "viral"
Could you confirm the Wayne Goss eye shadow palette. The colours don’t look like smoky quartz
Yup! It's smokey quartz, the one that launched this past summer.
Yup. 😐
I was looking at those GXVE eyeshadows in Sephora the other day and scratching my head 🤔 they look super simple
But PMG has a looot of stans it’s true 😅
Also I think quality varies between palettes, I find later ones better than earlier ones.
I think Natasha Denona is way better than PMG
@@kamrenfields454 saw a lot of people saying the same 😃 for me both are good, but PMG works tiny bit better. Cream to powder in ND is hit and miss for me depending on color. But I have a very weird skin texture on lids, a lot of products don’t work for me where they work for majority of people… Like NYX jumbo pencils for example, a lot of people loved those for yeeeears, for me they just don’t stay and budge like crazy
@@kamrenfields454 yessss I totally agree ♡♡♡
Lol! I agree! I feel like I have to try really hard to like how PMG products look on me. The foundation was a big fail for me as well as her concealer. Her under eye powder looks ok but not great. The eyeshadows look good but I realized I like ND and viseart shadows better 🤷🏻♀️😊
Future Skin is the only foundation I have ever repurchased...Haus Labs will be the other.
I wish we could return gently used products in the U.K., we can’t return anything that’s opened 😭😭😭 which makes purchasing decisions more difficult 😂
Really??? Is that at every store? Why do you think that is the case in the UK but not in the US?
@@SofiaSeesBeauty yup! Every store. Cult beauty literally says ‘pristine’ condition. 😭 so surprised that you hated the kosas foundation but I haven’t tried it 🤣
@@Aijingaling Oh wow that is so interesting. I’m glad you told me that because a lot of times I just assume these things are the same across all countries. You are the first person to tell me that
Same in italy 😭😭😭
@@simokthxbai nooooo! I guess good thing I do a lot of reviews and comparisons
Haha, I commented on Tara's video about the Chanel blush. I really think she just has a bad color. I bought deep apricot on your recommendation and I like it!
Yeah I think the same! I remember her saying that it wasn't pigmented enough
Kosas concealer also not so good.. it only lasts 3 months and has funky smell as it ages.. not safe!
Hi Sofia 💜💜💖
Helloooo!
Darn I’m sorry to hear that!
@@SofiaSeesBeauty Well, that´s life! Merry Christmas :-)
The CT Beautiful Skin made my skin look GORGEOUS until the 2 hr mark and imagine my surprise when I looked in my rearview mirror and saw I looked like I had beef jerkey taped to my face
Lmaooooo 😂 I am so sorry... It's a good foundation for a humid day for me
@@SofiaSeesBeauty I live in the swamp, aka Tampa Fl. So that’s saying something if it was dry and aging on my skin! I couldn’t believe it changed so drastically after a few hours. Hauled my cookies to Sephora and returned that crap quicker than you could say a classic CT DAHHHHLING 😀
@@celesteg881 omg 😅😅
Hyaluronic acid tends to really dry out my skin. I hate when it's included in makeup. (And skincare, oddly enough. Cleansers and moisturizers with HA still make my face feel horrible.) Not a fan lol
I finally found a foundation I like this year! (Dior forever matte) 😁 It only took.... 38 tries. 🤦♀️🤷♀️
It's not my "most perfect skin ever" super up close, because I do have dry/combo textured (sensitive and acne prone) skin, but it feels like nothing on, wears really nicely, looks practically the same by the end of a long day, and overall looks nice and skin-like, the best I've tried on my skin in a long time.
😂 "where's my blush?!"
Plus it was nearly impossible to remove (took at least 10-15 eyelashes with it🥺)
Yayyy! I am so glad you found one you like!
I really like the Ilia one too!
Ans....you need to tell LE about your allergy, mist probably to carmine.
That might be it!
What's on your lips?
Hello! I have it listed in the description box under "what's on my face". It's from Victoria Beckham Beauty!
Most influencers are only paid to promote certain products a specified number of times lol
That may be true but most influencers are not being paid by brands to speak about products. If we are paid to promote something we have to disclose that. So if they stop talking about a product it's because it's not at the top of their faves or they are on to newer products that might get more views
Way too many commercials!
Ah, I am sorry I can't control that 😅 that is TH-cam selecting when to insert an ad
Omg seriously?? "you're oily but want to be dry skin so bad" is one of the STUPIDEST things I read this year 😐🤣
Why would anyone want to have dry skin? 😂 No one wants to be crusty.
Thanks for sharing your experiences! I need to see if I can get the Westman Atelier one to work for me 😬
