Thank you for streaming this! Not many play-thrus available online. This game is AWESOME! The strategy of each race, and the game in general, takes a while to unfold but is worth discovering. And the economy is completely dynamic and driven by the player's actions. :)
I've played this with up to 8 and the game is not as chaotic as it might seem from the video imo. Usually people trade first with their immediate neighbors then expand outward as needed and as resources become more scarce. A good indicator of the end of the Trade phase is that you can slowly hear the players quiet down. So there is some order in the chaos.
Just want to say thanks so much for making this! Not sure how engaging the original stream was for those watching but as someone struggling to learn the rules in the rule book, this video was exactly what I needed to grasp the entire game and teach it to others. Keep up the great work.

Rule error 2: Planets AND colonies are on a conveyer belt and slide down. See teaching guide blue text under "Confluence (pg 7)".
Thanks for a great playthrough! I watched it several times to help refine my rules notes and to get an idea of what questions would come up in gameplay. It was *really* enjoyable to watch - the group looks like they have a lot of fun playing. I'm sad that I miseed it when the stream was live, but if you ever get this to the table again, I would *love* to watch another playthrough.

some friends and i just picked up the remastered version and holy hell is it a LOT. but this was a huge help, hopefully next time we meet we will actually be able to start a game lol

Great stream, there was definitely some chaos with the negotiation but you managed it well. Would like to see how it plays with a higher player count but probably wouldn't be willing to sit through a stream of it.

9:24 nope, they don't make grey cubes: For each Atomic Transmutation card there is, it always consumes one thing for everyone but produces different colours for each races. Haven't watched it through but I'm hoping you will notice this in the play. :D

Without the negotiation, this game would be little more than a 'roided-up Century: Spice Road!

I think Amanda was hampered because she didn't have all of her starting resources. I think that she played really well considering the handicap. I think she was missing a colony with an x2 token on it, and it would have helped her tremendously (no pun intended).

1:01:05 I think Amanda's bid only counts as 1 ship because she's the Caylion. She would have picked fourth. It didn't make a difference because she passed anyway.
What are the A4 sheets that you were all using? It looks like a brief overview for each round of the game. Are those available anywhere?
Rule Error 1: The grey cubes on research teams do not correspond to grey cubes by unity, which is the only race with grey cubes as output, but to the race-specific cube color of this technology.
It rappresent the shape of the cubes you will be getting
Did Amanda not get a starting colony with a seedling token? Or is it off camera?
She should have and that colony upgraded from the start pumps out a total of 12 big cubes or 24 small cubes or 12 ultratech ( consuming 12 smalls)
Correct me if I am wrong but at 1:02 The Alien race that can have unlimited colonies actually always count like having no colonies for tiebreaker purposes.
That's the way I read the rules. At 1:02:17, the person on the right (Mike?) should win the tie between Amanda and him because of the Kt'Zr'Kt'Rtl's power. It wins tied bids for planets as if it has no colonies.
Ktzrktrtl have an infinite tie breaker and always count as having no colonies when bidding. They get to smash there way into colonies as much as they want, thats their entire schtick
They didn't actually tie. Amanda only bid one. Her ships (Caylion) count as halves for colony bidding. Amanda tied with Edward.

At 30:00 you say that the colonies are not on a conveyor . They are. The rules state "At the end of the bid phase take all remaining cards with a minimum bid of 1 and put them under their respective decks, front-side face up. Then slide all cards in the tracks all the way to the left and fill the empty spaces to the right from the top of the research team or colony deck as appropriate"
This is on the last page of the rules right before END THE TURN
Also they weren't discarding the unpicked 1 bid research teams at the end of the bid phase... so they went through the deck slower than is intended.
Does Amanda ever actually use her seedling tokens in this game?
At 1:06:38, why don't the colonies conveyor belt down like the research teams do?
At 30:00 they say that they don't conveyor. That they're random. This is wrong. The rules explicitly state that they are supposed to shift to the right after removing all bid 1 cards.

Oh, heh, you're right! It's just a 'tick mark' to note how many times it's been said during the streams since we implemented the board on our 50th live-stream. :)
What does 'chaos' mean in games?
In this example, it means that the rules don't set turns, so you're letting people pick the pace of what's happening (in negotiations). If you're a pent up old fart that wants everyone to stop and listen to what you're doing and saying, you'll be very unhappy. If you can slip in a quick comment or remark and follow along with the room, you'll love this game with all your heart.

2:40:25 I think Edward forgot to add points for his resources after totaling his VP. He might be tied with Mike with 46.5 points.
I feel like this game needs a reskin into an 1900s, industrial age, corporate theme, complete with old-timey stock markets, auction houses, and industrial breakthroughs for the trading, bidding, and technologies.

When he buys his first Relic why would Edward spend his just upgraded colony that gives him a free black cube when he could have spent the colony that only converts a brown to a blue, seems very inefficient =/
That's entirely possible. We don't always make the most efficient moves during our streams. We sometimes forget things and also keep things moving so that there's no AP. Cheers for pointing that out though, Victor!
At 55:16 Edward forgot to collect 1 brown from his colony.
Additionally, at the end of the bid phase, any remaining cards with a minimum bid of "1" are discarded to the bottom of their respective decks. Then, all cards on the bid tracks slide all the way to the left before the tracks are refilled.
Just changing cubes for cubes... hm I pass
