    Really like the idea behind the video! But I think a little more discretion with the takes would be nice. I'm thinking something like first 5 takes from X (so you reward first come first serve), and 5 takes you as the hosts find extremely thought provoking or really ground your gears/stirred you up. Maybe in the interesting 5, include comments from us TH-cam plebes who don't do the X madness that you might have seen recently. Also make it a regular feature, like hot takes for the month. Oh call it something like the Ultras' takes for the month (kinda implies the hosts and page's fans are part of it) Anyways, just suggestions and I enjoyed it as a whole.
    My two cents for the hot takes. First and foremost I think Poch needs a nickname, I propose el Jefe. Like someone who owns the accountability of the team and really puts the grit and fight back in our boys. Some kind of morale and confidence sickness/rot has taken over the team, and I think if we fix that then we'll be much much much better as a whole. Regardless of who exactly the starting 11 is and formation. Spirit, confidence, and morale will define our success or lack their of it for the next world cup.
    I don't know what's wrong with Musah, if I had to guess its confidence (like a lot of our guys that are recently in terrible form). Like he played atrociously against New Zealand, but I'll never forget the mud bowl game in El Salvador and he's tackling like a monster in midfield and literally was spitting mud and poop out of his mouth at one point. Furthermore this is the same guy who more than held his own during the world cup group stage. Both recent coaches at Milan seem to see something within him, and I hope he unlocks it sooner rather than later.
    I think for a camp, not calling up Musah, Reyna, Richards, and maybe even McKinnie will be a good wake up call for them to pull their heads out of their butts with their club forms and/or their attitudes when it comes to the national team. Reyna particularly I hope it sends a signal of he needs to get his dad out of his career choices and find a better agent. I think he has the secret sauce, but he desperately needs to get out of Dormund and just go play full games with mid tier teams in any of the big 5 leagues excluding the Premier League. As far as McKinnie, get fit and play with aggression when you put on our Jersey. Let me see that dude who gets his shirt ripped against el Tri!
    I still have not seen anything earth shattering in Tillman's game. It was funny to me when Tac or Petes was criticizing Brendan for being so bad at the 10 against New Zealand, and I really didn't see any difference from Tillman (just he had the advantage of running at tired legs and the latter stages of a friendly where all the subbing discombobulates the flow of the game). However more than that, in his body of work with the national team I've only just seen that just seems to only run offensively, and always half hearted when we don't have the ball or he needs to press. Even offensively I've never seen wow moments unless he's playing minnows in eredivisie (spelling?) or the scottish premier league. I hope Paxton and/or Diego Luna are called up and put serious pressure on Tillman to expose him or push him to be the player we need.
    I'm not an MLS fanboy by any means, but with the WC so close I have no issue with practicality over style. I do not understand playing someone good with their feet (Richards) who's been super meh or even piss poor the past few camps over someone like Zimmerman who is consistently a monster in the air and definitely plays with more determination and passion with the national team. Same with goal keeper, I'd much rather have a wall of a shot stopper in between the sticks than a sweeper keeper that sometimes makes mistakes in shot stopping. That being said I think Zimmerman, Luna, and the MLS keepers are the only players I would use as depth pieces for the A team in these next few camps before '26. Become a lock down defense first, then worry later about playing out of the back.
    Sorry for the rambling, but one last thing. Maybe make a video on like top 5 (or some other number) of team or individual top/legendary performances from the GGG era. Like I mentioned Musah earlier in the mud bowl nations league game, Reyna snapping ankles against el Tri (didnt amount to anything but God I loved that run haha), the Puli crotch shot during the World Cup, and/or even the robotic Horvath saving our bacon back in that first nations league final. That way new USMNT fans can be redirected there for some inspiration of what our team was capable of with this bronze generation, and I think it'd just be nice for posterity's sake.

      Thank you for all your input! Having some takes from TH-cam comments is a great idea and if we do this again in the future, we’ll be sure to put up a community post where people on TH-cam can leave their hot takes. Also like the video idea about best moments from the Gregg era, although I think #1 might be him being fired 😂

    I also think, based on comments he's made, that Pochettino has taken the job with an ambition to remain for a full cycle. That being said, things have to go right for that to happen. There is a lot new to him. He doesn't know how he will like coaching international soccer, he doesn't know how he will like dealing with the American soccer environment, with USSF, and with the American players. It remains to be seen how the American players take to him. And it remains to be seen what level of success he achieves. USSF could sour on him or he could sour on the job, but I got the impression that going into it he wants to stay until 2030.

      All good points. One thought - the fans have kind of overlooked some of the player deficiencies in order to focus on Berhalter. If the players think they're imune from criticism, they've got another think coming if they don't really commit to the new environment and expectations. The fans' ire can quickly turn to them if we get the impression that they're ghosting Poch.

    I think Tyler will most likely be back. I think people get frustrated and discouraged by repeated injuries and they speculate of a persistent problem when they don't have certain cause to. Just look at how people used to talk about Pulisic.

    • @AMERICANULTRASTALK
      @AMERICANULTRASTALK  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It has been very frustrating to see Adams continue to aggravate the same injury when it’s so avoidable, but I do agree that when he’s fully fit he’ll be back with the USMNT. No one has done anything to take his spot so far.

    Cool concept for a video, and great content as always. I think one of the players that has the most to prove to remain a "lock" is McKennie. We know his talent is high, but only when he wants to show it, which isn't consistently. His weight issues are only a symptom of a larger issue - commitment. I am pulling for him to wake up and really show out this year with Juve. BTW did you guys see the recent Dest interview? He made the comment that not only is he working hard to regain physical fitness, but he also made a comment about growing up and becoming more of a man - that's a real statement.

    • @AMERICANULTRASTALK
      @AMERICANULTRASTALK  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Didn’t see the Dest interview, but that’s encouraging that he’s working on himself physically and mentally. We know the talent is there, he just gets a little lazy on defense at times, plus a few bad career decisions that hopefully won’t happen anymore.

    Here's a hot take. Gaga Slonina will the starting keeper in 2026

    • @AMERICANULTRASTALK
      @AMERICANULTRASTALK  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I like that as a hot take. I don’t think it will happen, but there’s a somewhat realistic path for him to accomplish that.

      @@AMERICANULTRASTALK I'm sure you know that I'm 100% in camp Gaga, and I firmly believe in his abilities as a keeper. More so that Schulte. He had a better performance over the weekend, but it was coming off two bad performances to Stevenage and Manchester United. I think he's got the tools to reach his potential. He's only 20 years old, and outside Arthur Okonkwo, he's the best keeper in League One

    Man people are quick to forget Reyna was player of the Nations League Tournament. Ya’ll acting like hes a guy u can just throw to the bench and be fine. We must be watching different games

    • @AMERICANULTRASTALK
      @AMERICANULTRASTALK  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      That’s a fair argument, but what happens when Gio is hurt for an important camp? We all know his injury history, he’s going to miss some big games at some point. Worth a shot to give Tillman a chance to earn that spot.

    • @End2End_USMNT
      @End2End_USMNT 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@AMERICANULTRASTALK I think Tillman will be better under Poch, but he did have his starts and didnt look amazing. I just disagree with the sentiment that Tillman should start if both are in camp. Reyna top 3 must starts on the roster?
