So i have a friend from Croatia (im from Bulgaria) and he says that i understand him more than he understands me 😂. I honestly think that other slavik languages are easy to learn ( you croatians speak English better than us ❤️ 👏)
Haha I know these videos are 4 years old but I find this so useful to learn Croatian. I am learning because my dad moved to Australia (where I was born) when he was 9 and I want to be able to speak to my grandparents in Croatian :) I was upset they didn’t have Croatian on Duolingo and other language learning apps, but channels like this on TH-cam teach you anyway!
At 2:15 - 2:20 he pronounced ''Dž'' as how ''Đ'' is pronounced and vice versa ... Č should also be pronounced with more hard accent than in vid. Good luck in learning Croatian y'all !

č should sound rougher, harsher, and ć is a bit softer in pronunciation, but in everyday speaking we don't really pay attention to it so they both sound pretty much the same and somewhere in between, and the same thing is with Dž which you can relate to č because it is also rougher and đ is softer just like ć, although in some parts of Croatia you hear the difference in pronunciation of č and ć, but we mostly don't pay to much attention to it, hope this helps you a bit :)

I know it was sung in Montenegrin, but I understand after doing some research on Google, that Montenegrin is similar to Croatian, isn't it?
I say đ all the time dž is just slow version of it for me 😅 But... The sound "dž" is actually a voiced affricate, similar to the "j" in the English word "judge." On the other hand, "đ" is a voiced palatal stop, similar to the "j" in the English word "jam."Here's a little trick to differentiate them: try saying "judge" and notice how the "j" sound starts with a slight stop before releasing - that's close to "dž." For "đ," it's a smoother sound without that initial stop, more like just the beginning of the "j" in "jam."
