In any other animated musical of the era, this would be the final version of the music. Disney's production value is really incredible, and the Renaissance period is definitely my favorite.

Rick Beck Good thing this was mostly orchestrated, the synth instrumental heard here would've made the film dated.

I think that this was just the demo. They had no intention on using this as the arrangement.

@@FrizFreddy1994 this track was used mainly as a guide for Samuel Wright to perform his vocals as Sebastian.

The song that forever changed the Academy Awards. Also, the Disney production number that gave rise to "Be Our Guest" (BEAUTY AND THE BEAST), "Friend Like Me" (ALADDIN), "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" (THE LION KING), "Topsy Turvy" (THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME), "Zero to Hero" (HERCULES), and "Dig a Little Deeper" (THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG).

Just for the record, this is not a story reel, it's a pencil test.

I'd be cool to see "Poor Unfortunate Souls" in pencil test form.

Not entirely. You just have to leave the United States. Go to France or Japan.

Do you have the Poor Unfortunate Souls pencil test? I tried downloading the early promo material but it didn't download completely due to lack of seeds, so I can't listen to the whole song...
